Byebye Big Bum!

I dunno Jana, I used to be a c cup before pregnancy, then I went up to what I thought was a DD..but THEN I went to Bravissimo - a specialist bra chain for women with big boobs and ALL shape bodies, and they put me in a FF, and I have to say, it uplifted, minimised, supported and looked great! However that size in one manufacturer was completely different to that size in another - they don't measure at the store, the fitters just look at you and KNOW...hahahah they just KNOW!! And they know all the different brands and designs and whether they come up big in the cup or tight on the back or suit certain shape boobs.

I just sort of assumed all quite large women were quite large cup sizes - am I wrong?

No, no, sadly I am not one of those quite large women with large cup sizes. We'll just leave it at that. :p

But that does sound amazing. I'm going to have to look into that at some point. :) Though I think that if someone looks at me and just KNOWS I'm going to feel just a little bit like they have x-ray vision or something. :D

Good morning everyone!! Urgh. Somewhat the worst for wear here - but of a night out with the girls last night... Bad parts were lots of wine, a mojito and a glass of baileys with some chocolate on the side...good bits were oven baked sea bass with no sauce and veggies on the side rather than chips at the restaurant! Walked a fair distance yesterday and today too to try and make up for it.

Probably a 3000 cal day yesterday and I'm at about 1000 cals today by lunchtime.

Friends I saw yesterday hadn't seen me for two months and were quite surprised at how different I looked which was nice. And I'm just driving down to see family in London who I haven't seen since Christmas so should be interesting!!

Four more days to go till holiday!! Better get some running in beforehand! Taking my running gear with me though as hoping to find a place to run around the hotel complex before most people are up and about.

See you all later, hope everyone is having a good weekend!

I can't WAIT until the opportunity comes to see someone I haven't seen in a while, once I've lost some more weight. Even today I'm seeing some people I have not seen in two weeks and wondering if they'll see any difference at all, but it is doubtful. :D

I hope the four days fly by for you. :D Have a good one!

I can't wait to hear all about it!!! But will really miss you while you are gone if you aren't able to be online.

Hi Jjjay Jjjay!!

Finally caught up on your thread and must say, I def need an internet connection at the cottage to keep up to date on things here. Great to catch up with your journal.....the uphill run of 6.5km....15km+ walk....the four inch loss of collateral damage <insert teary eyed smiley here> and the comments from the wonderful friends you have. You have an awesome diary goin!

I understand you are leaving for Turkey in the next few days. I'll be sure to save your seat here for when you get back. (I'll be on holidays again at that time but fortunately, I should be online at the cottage by then...so I'll get to hear every juicy detail of your trip first hand!!!!!)

Take care and have a great nite!

Hi Jjjay, just caught up with your thread. I have been gone for a while, pre-occupied and all, but I'm back. You look FANTASTIC in the picture and 4 inches lost is a BIG DEAL. Love the motivation of you taking your running gear while on a holiday. Way to go!! When are you off? Have always wanted to go to Turkey- almost made it once. Some day. Hope your week is going wonderfully.

I was an FF also. I think that I might even have had a G cup bra at one time. I always cut the labels out straigth away so can't remember properly. One of the bras I am wearing now is a DD. I feel so much more comfortable now. I sleep on my front and they were always in the way and my shoulders always hurt because of the straps digging in.

Only 2 days until your holidays now.:) You must be getting really excited. Are you going to e.mail Mr X before you go?

I was in a G before I started losing, but am down to DD now days. THANK HEAVENS!!! They are getting to be a MUCH more managable size. My oldest walked in on me when I was dressing the other day and asked me what happened to my boobs??? I didn't know what she meant. She said they shriveled up! LOL!

So just for the heck of it I got out one of my old G cup bras and tried it on. Even after making the straps as short as I could (used to have them as long as possible) it was still comicly huge! And of course where one of my kids is, they all must be, so in walked the other 3. One of my twins said "Mom! You have a special twin hat!" She put one cup on her head and walked up to her twin sister and put the other cup on her head. I nearly died laughing!

It's good to know that all that money I spent on those G cup bras won't go to waste - they can be recycled as headwear for my children!

Tigpuppy that is just the funniest thing!!! rofl!!!!

Now I know what to do with my old bras! I will donate them to oxfam with the express wish that they supply them to underclothes twins in developing countries!

Ok an update from me... Work has been crazy the last few days and my dad has been in hospital for a heart op(went ok thankfully) so my eating has been whatever I can grab whenever. I've managed to stick around 1500-2000 cals a day but not got out to do any exercise really except walking from meeting to meeting. So not suprisingly the scales said 188 today - up 3 lbs which is probably a bit of a wild fluctuation and will be back down again soon but I got to watch it especially as I'm in this team challenge. Which I haven't even been able to post on the last few days as I'm accessing the forum on my dinky little iPhone and I can't cut and paste stuff or type very easily!

Managed to do a good hour and a half of brisk walking toddy though at least and went for a but walk after dinner - no mean feat in rough old Glasgow near where my hotel is! Hopefully burnt off the excesses of yo sushi!! I wish I'd brought my running gear but I couldn't carry my work stuff and anything more than a change of undies and a spare shirt.

Eycky, I don't know if I'm going to email Mr X before I go on hols. If I do then if he doesn't reply immediately then I'll be wondering if he has or not and have no way of checking on holiday. I'm toying with the idea of calling him but have no real reason although he DID say to call so it would be his own fault! On the other hand, I also quite like the idea of just swanning off and leaving him wondering why I hadn't been in touch for a while and him regretting not replying to my last email! Hahaha so complicated! Got a funny feeling he's off on holiday for the last week or two himself anyhow as he usually goes away this time of year.

Someone said that you actually have to be quite obvious and unsubtle for men to actually get the right idea that you like them but I err too much on the side of not wanting to be obvious and embarrass myself...catch22 situation I think! Never mind. Whatever I decide, I'll be in touch with him at some point.

I'm glad that your dad is ok now. You sound like you are well ready for your holiday. Is it tomorrow that you go?
I've just booked my holiday in England but it won't be until January. There isn't a Bravissimo shop near where I'm staying in Hitchin but there is one in Oxford street and we will be spending 3 days in London. I'm going to book a fitting appointment with them so that I don't have to wait about. I really like the look of the tanquinis and nightwear that they sell and as well as the bras that you recommended they also have a sport bra and strapless bra that I like the look of. I think I will try on quite a few and buy a couple and make a note of sizes and styles to buy on line as I can afford them.

I'm with Veronique on this one. Keep him waiting, let him wonder where you have gone. A little mystery never hurt anyone.

Glad your dad is ok. I hear you on work stress-- it is no better here. Hope things are well with you.

Thanks Juni - I missed commenting on this. I felt great in the pic...and waving goodbye to those 4 inches is fantastic!

Yep, I went and had a big trying on session yesterday - their clothes are great as they do normal dress size i.e. 14 or 16 then they come in 3 different sizes - curvy, really curvy and super curvy depending on your bust size. So I am a size 14 or 16 curvy or really curvy and this means that shirts don't gape at the buttons and the dresses aren't fitting on the bust but massive around the arm holes...

Urgh stress at work the last few days trying to get everything wrapped up has been nearly unbearable. I feel SO stretched and exhausted. However, I have now drawn a line...and started to relax...just got five hours to pack now and perhaps catch a nap before leaving for the airport...at 4am...

Thankfully my dad is now back home and feeling good - recovering and looking a bit better everyday.

Have a great Holiday Jay!!!

I would keep M. X waitting!!! ;)

well I am SO PROUD of myself....I did not call him today. I did not email him to see if he fancies meeting for coffee in the last week of august when I get back. Nope. I stayed silent. and mysterious. By the time I get back it will have been 6 weeks since we last spoke...and 4 weeks since emailed...I suddenly realised, I have spoken to him at least once every two-three weeks for the last 7 months...

Anyhows...off to finish packing. Havea great two weeks guys. Not sure when or where i'll be able to find the internet but I WILL not be overindulging too much and I WILL be doing some running and I WILL be doing the 30 day shred dvd I have just got hold of :D

Hugz and things.

Lookin forward to hearing all about it when you get back.

BTW...we wont miss you one bit while you're gone so don't worry bout us. <insert bawling-leg-kicking-tantrum here>

Take care!

heya guys! Good news, I'm here, setted ?n, REEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLAXING very very much and there's cheapo net access ?n the hotel lobby!! I w?ll be here and around - probably more than usual LOL...

So a qu?ck update before I run to have my fresh tomatos on toast breakfast...
just ran 20 m?ns (2km) ?n the un-a?rcond?t?oned gym...?n around 40 degrees and that was at 8am th?s morn?ng...gets to 55 degrees by m?d day here. I just could not do more than 20 m?ns - was sweat?ng buckets. l?ke be?ng ?n a sauna.

Been eat?ng ok...lots of water, no alcohol, mostly heathy salads and gr?lled ch?cken w?th the occas?onal ch?ps and ?ce cream over the last couple of days. Been walk?ng aroudn lots - probably an hour a day eas?ly and sw?mm?ng ?n the pool of course.

Hav?ng a great t?me - really left the cares and worr?es of work well beh?nd me. The k?ds club here ?s great and my daughter loves ?t (they have slumber part?es and spongebobsquarepants afternoons etc... great fun) so also str?k?ng a n?ce balance for me between enjoy?ng t?me w?th her but also gett?ng a b?t of adult t?me as well.

Got to dashö, see you all later!

I'm glad that both yourself and your daughter are having such a great time. As you say nice to spend time with your daughter but nice to have some 'you' time as well.
Sounds like you will be yet another one to lose weight on holiday. This is putting a lot of pressure on me for when I go :D

Oooh it sounds wonderful :)
I wish I was on holiday right now, despite it being August, it is raining lots and lots and lots by me!!
Have fun :)

LOL I wish! I think its a loosing battle to try and do as much exercise in order to offset all the little snacks and treats that you have on holiday. I'm just hoping that the heat is acting like enough of a sauna that I sweat away a few pounds!

Looking round the pool though, although I do not have a bikini body by any stretch of hte imagination, I don't feel bad at all! I'm smaller than a lot of the women here and am so glad I lost some weight before coming. The new tankini is perfect for sunbathing yet feeling quite covered up when i walk around. Can't help playing the old "fatter or thinner than her" game in my head all the time though...

I'm glad that you are feeling confident enough round the pool. I'm the same this year. Other years I would have pulled a towel or wrap round me every time I moved but this year I didn't feel the need to :) A tankini is definitely on my shopping list when I get to the Bravissimo shop.
Don't worry if you do end up putting on any weight. Just enjoy yourself and you'll soon lose it when you get home.
Carry on having a wonderful time :)

I wonder why women do this. As if what size we are compared to other women makes us better than or not as good as they are. I think it's such a sad reflection of what our society and the current media does to women and girls.

By the way, awesome job staying on the "straight and narrow" while on vacation! :D And I agree with, Val, I think you'll probably lose more weight on holiday! Keep up the great work!
