Hey Butterfly,
Don't get discouraged - this is a lifelong journey. I had a weight loss plateau that lasted 3 weeks - even when I was eating super clean!!! So, let me say this again.....I was eating very clean and did not lose a pound for 3 weeks. What ultimately helped bust through my plateau was cutting out grain pretty much 100% and reducing sugar drastically as well. I even went down to like 14g of sugar per day...and honestly that felt really healthy, not bad at all. Whenever I have hit a plateau or am having a hard time, I focus on finding my next inspiration. It can be a celebrity I look up to or want to emulate in some way, a real person I met who inspires me because they are so committed to their health and they are buff and lean (a 45 year-old woman I met who runs 50 miles per week and looks ahhhh-mazing and is so healthy, not just thin, but that too), surfing around this forum, doing online searches, talking to my friends and husband and telling them about my journey, buying a new item of clothing (even if it's shoes, which I still want to look good in!), making myself exercise, or just doing something I enjoy. A big inspiration for me has been my health, since I got my labs and I have an abnormal TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) level, and I likely have Hashimoto's disease. If you haven't done this lately, I would suggest getting a full metabolic and lipid panel done at your doctor's office. At least then you can approach things from a health standpoint, and sometimes that is the mental kick in the rear you need to get to your next best you.
