Happy late Bday to you...hope you had a slice cake, was surrounded by love and happiness, and most importantly I am wishing you lots and lots of health.

Keep up the good work dear.

Still not doing well. This time of year I have college papers to write and along with that I usually stress eat. Hopefully I will be able to get back on track soon. In need of motivation.

Hi Butterfly, as you said in your first post in here " I have my whole life ahead of me and hoping I can lose weight." You can do this sweetie. Eating healthy & getting some exercise is so important for so many reasons. It is all such a multiplying thing. Stress eating or "comfort" eating, especially high sugar & salt processed food makes you feel worse & befuddles your brain. It then makes you feel worse because you want to lose weight & has a snowballing effect.
Healthy eating, especially having fresh fruit & vegetables & lean protein & getting outside & getting some fresh air, drinking water, getting a good night's sleep helps to relieve stress, it helps you think clearer, you will start feeling better about yourself.
Start seeing your health as your top priority Butterfly. You are the one who is responsible for it & you can do this. Take care my friend & look after yourself, much love, xoxo Cate.

Thank you Cate! You're right, I need to take my health more seriously. I will do this!

I'm glad sweetie. I have realised that it is the most important thing in my life & also the one you have the most control over. I don't care how old I get so long as I am healthy. Small changes can make such a difference & life is to be enjoyed. One of my favourite sayings is "“Enjoy the little things in life because one day you`ll look back and realize they were the big things.”(~Kurt Vonnegut) xoC

Thanks again Cate.

Update- Decided to do a food log again. Here's yesterday's, not nearly as good as I'd like it, but I guess knowing what I normally eat is the first step.

Breakfast-
Scrambled eggs
½ gluten free dairy free grilled cheese (I usually have a whole, cutting back)

Lunch-
Teriyaki tofu and vegetables

Snacks-
Chips
Peanut butter
More chips

Dinner-
Gluten-free tuna sandwhich

Snack-
3 rice cakes with soy cream cheese and jelly
Small ice cream bar
Mango frozen fruit bar
blueberries

Exercise- about 40 minutes of light exercise

I see that there is good healthy stuff in there & 40 mins of exercise :D. Just cutting down on the unhealthy snacks a little each day is good. I used to love the saying "Nothing tastes as good as slim feels." Baby steps sweets, baby steps xoxo Cate

The exercise is a new habit I am trying to get in to, I am usually a couch potato. I do think it's the amount of unhealthy snacks I eat that is the worst.

Sometimes exercising will help you want to pick healthier snacks, so maybe choosing better treats will come easier as you start to move more. Just make sure you don't fall into the trap of thinking you 'earned' something unhealthy.... I know I've succumbed to that thought all too often!

Update- Been stressed, my mother was in the hospital, so I turned to overeating. But she's out of the hospital now and I'm ready to get back on track.

My friends really wanted to go to a Chinese buffet so I went with them. I did over-eat but not as much as I expected. Ready to get back on track.

Hey! I have a hormone/metabolic issue too, so I feel your pain about your body not doing what it should. Try not to let it discourage you.
