Butterfly’s Journey to Health

 Having to consider whether or not to turn a friend of yours in is not a nice place to be in. And anyone who tries to push you to eat things that are bad for you when you´ve already said you don´t think you should be eating it... is not helpful company. Sorry you have to deal with all that, and all the respect for taking steps forward regardless!

It sounds to me like this friendship is not a healthy one for you butterfly. I'm sorry too that you are having to deal with this hon. Look after yourself first & foremost. Be careful with any decisions you make, won't you sweetie xoxo

Thank you all! I'll keep going with this weight-loss thing and try to find other friends.

I decided to weigh-in today instead of this weekend, scale read 295.9 lbs. That's a +0.03 lb increase in 5 days. Honestly was expecting worse though, so I'm not really upset. And honestly thought I was 298ish so at least I'm 2 pounds lighter. Still not a good weight though, I'm aware.

Danced for about 5 minutes so far today. Should have kept going but I didn't feel like it. It's only 6:51 AM though, still plenty of time in the day. I'll try to dance more later.

Thank you Cate!

Yesterday was hectic, my grandfather fell twice and couldn't get himself up. In the chaos of it all I needed to blow off steam so I started running, something I thought I couldn't do because of my vertigo. It was nice but I'm not so sure my doctors would want me running because of the vertigo. I want to run but I also want to stay safe and not fall.

I wanted poptarts the other day but had a cinnamon cheerios cereal bar instead, 150 calories compared to 410. Lower in sugar as well. Was a better choice and tasted decent.

Had Japanese food last night. Got aged tofu and vegetable sushi. The aged tofu is fried though. I really wish that restaurant sold a steamed tofu dish.

Well done butterfly on making a wiser choice. I'm glad you enjoyed the run. Ask your doctor next time you see him about running.I love Japanese food. There wouldn't be much oil in the sushi I wouldn't think. YUM!

You are doing better and better. Keep it up!
Also this shows my culinary ignorance but to me "aged tofu" sounds like something that you find at the back of the fridge lol

Aged tofu would pretty much kill me - so much histamine! But if you're better at digesting that stuff than I am: nomnom.

Thank you all! I will ask my doctor about running. Yeah the sushi probably doesn't have much oil. Lol brawny, its sometimes also called agedashi tofu. I didn't know it was high in histamine.

Weighed-in today and scale said 293.9 (exactly a 2 lb loss). Happy about that.

Thank you!

Got some new fitness Wii games, My Fitness Coach, EA Sports Active Personal Trainer, and Dance Dance Revolution Disney Grooves (yes, I like Disney). Tried two of them and like them both so far. Hoping this will bring some new motivation to exercise.

Lost another 1.1 lbs! I've been eating less chips so thinking it's from that mostly.

It's my birthday today so I'll have a little junk food today and tomorrow but then I'll get back on track. Minus two poptarts, I ate healthy so far today. For dinner getting Japanese, this time from a different restaurant which has tastier (and I believe healthier) food. Getting the vegetable box which includes vegetable tempura (the worst of it), shigiyaki (broiled eggplant with miso and seasame seeds), sesame spinach, yasai itame (stir fried vegetables) inari (sweet tofu sushi), and rice (I'll ask for brown). Having a bit of chocolate bark for dessert, really didn't get much and sharing it with a friend anyway. Tomorrow I go to the Chinese buffet and that's where I need to be more careful. Then that'll be it for partying.

I haven't been doing great so doctor is upping two of my medications and is downing another. I'm a bit worried this could lead to hunger and/or weight gain, but I'll just have to see. I didn't think to ask her. And I did forget to ask her about running, oh well.

My mom saw a psychic who told her I was stressed and exercise would be helpful for me. I guess it's worth a try.

Everyone is stressed and needs exercise, so I´m pretty sure the psychic is right :p Well done on losing another pound! Dance revolution is aweeesome, tried it with my nephews; have fun with it!

I have some good memories of playing DDR with a friend of mine who had the hardcore metal pads. I can attest that it is a great way to get exercise. :p

Well up 1.3 lbs :(. Maybe I ate too much for my birthday? Not sure. Anyway, really enjoying my new fitness games so far. A bit less vertigo lately so I am able to exercise a bit more.
