broken arm, staying in shape

I am the sweeper for a competitive soccer team and i broke my arm playing 2 weeks ago. In a week I go from a full arm cast to a short cast. Legally i can play with a short cast and i have 3 weeks from my game. After 2 weeks of only some activness compared to before, i'd like to know what i can do, but remember i still have the injured arm. I'd like to be in my first game in the best shape possible so i can contribute to my team. So i'm asking for good excercises excluding my right arm to maintain my fitness level, id like all the help possible.
Thanks

Well, I think the persons to ask are your physical therapist or a medical professional on your team.

That said, an elliptical without arm grips or a stationary bicycle would allow you to work your legs and cardio and would not be too bouncy for your arm.

I'm a master at working around injuries. God knows I've done it alot in my career.

Try this:

Sprint/run on a treadmill- 30 seconds (as fast as possible without falling off)
10 box jumps 2 ft box
30 sit ups

Repeat 5x with little to no rest in between.

Keep up with the agility ladder drills and balance training as well.

Good Luck!

when i broke my colarbone i took a week out of normal training and then sat on the stationary bike (turbo) for a bit everyday, luckily it was the off season so I was just putting in the miles anyway so it did not effect me too much
