Bride 2 Be Thread For Bridal Info And Support!

Blair, everything you have is just perfect- I'm so jealous:) We too have done loads for the wedding, as you can see. Had my dress fitting and it fits to a T- I'm so pleased! Presently trying to plan the rehearsal dinner for the Friday night- wish me luck- Speak soon xxx

oohhhhhhhh!!!!!!! I want to see you in your dress!!! Post some pics Becka!

Yeah, my Mum brought her camera and, naturally, the batteries died before she could get a photo of me in my dress. I do have photos from my fitting in Feb but I've toned up a bit since then- I'll see if I can find them this weekend.

Long weekend ahead darnit. Spent most of work yesterday working on gift registry [oops!]. Think I finally have it under control! Going to send the list to And's Mum so she has it- Have around 75-80 guests who are definitely coming so far. The RSVP was june 1 but a lot of my friends won't be able to determine if they can come until late summer.

Been sprucing up my wedding webpage so will check back when its up to my expectations! x

holy cow... we got a billion things done this weekend - and half of them weren't even planned!!!

We met with the minister about the ceremony, and since I am becoming a minister in june, she is going to let me help write the entire ceremony! I'm fairly excited about that =)

We also ordered our wedding bands -

his is a palladium hammered ring and mine has four small stones w/ pave settings surrounding it on the band - similar to this, but without the spacers between the stones on the band. My engagement ring is totally different and I have yet to find a pic of it... it has three stones, but the prongs on the setting criss-cross when they get down to the band... it's really pretty.

Umm... oh! we met with the cake lady - and b/c we are concerned about the weather, we will be doing 5 different cakes instead of stacking them. They will all be the same color scheme, but slightly different designs. They will be champagne, lemon/raspberry, chocolate w/ raspberry jam, vanilla w/ hazelnut cream, and red velvet flavors... I'm SO excited =)

Hey Courage!

Sounds like you have your wedding things underway- thats great! I too have been consumed with my wedding as of late. We're presently seeking out a videographer and signing various contracts, etc. Good luck with everything!

I'm a newbie here and glad you guys have this kind of a thread!
I will be getting married in July (on the most picked day of the year ;) ) and after that we'll go on a two week honeymoon. I need to be ready for a bikini so I can enjoy the beach... the way I am right now I don't enjoy going out in shorts. I have a pair of skinny jeans I'd love to fit in before we go. I used to be 120 lbs but I'm an emotional eater and after a couple of things happened in my life I just ate and ate and ate and ate - I can't get full whenever I'm upset. I know that's mentally and I'm trying to do other things whenever I feel an all-you-can-eat-wave coming on. I try to stay busy and get the heck out of the house so I can't pig out the way I feel like. I was 185 and lost about 13 lbs, down to 172 but I can't seem to break into the 160'. Right now what I'm doing is eating healthy, mainly fruits and veggies. And my fiance and I got a gym membership and made the decision to work out at least 4-5 days a week. We went yesterday for the first time, and I do feel pretty good... I'm not as sore as I expected to be.

After a brief hiatus I'm back!

and so much wedding stuff is done! I finally made the decision to wear a veil, and found the perfect one... it is very plain, fingertip length, and the only detail is a silver/platium cord along the bottom that matches the color (and helps bring it out) in the lacy detail on my dress. SO excited.

Bad news - is that the dress still fits the same... it won't zip up all the way. But I haven't been working that hard and I definately haven't been watching what I eat. All of that changes today!

Welcome Leigh!!! I can't wait to hear the details about your big day!

I too am an emotional eater. I was down to 135 a year or so ago, and was pretty steady around 142ish for a LONG time... but all that changed in October when my grandpa died and then I had a whole series of other huge events and winter and holidays and wedding planning stress and everything else that I tend to turn to food to deal with. I guess we just need to find healthier foods to turn to? hehehe...

Good luck with all your planning and your goals!!!

Hey there! Welcome to the forum! We all have coped with emotional eating, many times, like you, in response to uncontrollable circumstances that have taken place in our lives. It's frustrating and its discouraging, especially the journey back to our ideal body..but its not impossible! How is it going so far? I miss talking to people about my wedding! Give us details!

Hey girl! Glad to see you're back- the veil sounds lovely:) How long do you have until your wedding? I'm sure you have plenty of time to work hard to look absolutely stunning in your dress:) What diet/fitness plan are you following?

We all have sources of comfort- whether it be alcohol, drugs, smoking, sex or for us, eating. Thinking about it in this manner, we have actually chosen the safest and least harmful method of coping styles. Granted bingeing isnt necessarily great for your digestive system, nor is purging if you have taken that route, in comparison we've chosen one of the easier routes to rectify. Just stay focused:)

I want to hear more about your weddings! So far, we have nearly everything accomplished which is such an incredible feeling. We're booking our videographer this week and have basically arranged nearly everything. Some friends are unexpectadly throwing me a bridal shower in July, which was a very nice surprise and i'm having a mini-bachelorette party next weekend. So excited! Hope you're well x

our oh so cute engagement pics are posted now...

I'm working hard on looking stunning =) I have exactly 2 months from Monday - so we are getting sort of close, but its going well, at least this week. I'm exercising 30-40 minutes about 4-5 times a week and trying to eat around 1500 calories of food. I have also been eating extra protein, to help me build up some lean muscle and speed up fat burning... so we'll see how that goes. I'm pretty sure from the running I'm building muscle in my legs and the weight will take a while to change, but I can already feel a difference in my arms and mid section (and that's the only problem area with the dress!)

how many days til your wedding again?
