Well done on all your progress so far.. 20lb is excellent. Am very jealous

Thank you!! No need to be jealous! It can be you in just a measly 12 weeks! Haha... that actually sounds miserably long. But, a routine will make it go faster. Just make yourself get dressed for a workout, and the workout will follow. ((Getting dressed is sometimes the harder part!)) LOL! No excuses!!

" Give me your kudos after 50 and after I keep it off!! LOL!!! "

Kudos is available anytime at the rate that you are going! No reason why it shouldn't stay off - you will just need to change from "Lose Weight" mode to "Maintenance" mode.

Keep it up! :)

Week 15 in the books! Perfect score of 4 workouts.

I have to mention that I left my emotionally abusive husband on Sunday. I mention it for 2 reasons, 1) I'm not eating much at all this week due to the stress. I am choking down food to sustain my workouts. I don't want to suddenly lose weight rapidly and you all not get the full story and get discouraged on your own journey. Also, 2) I am recording is in case my future self needs to look back on progress or lack thereof. It is 100% fine if no one comments on this because it's pretty heavy stuff. I am fine, he is not. I do think weight loss gave me confidence to do what is best for me. Also, we had several fights over my weight loss, and he even accused me of having an affair as my motivation to lose weight. (Expect not everyone will support your progress... you have to do it for YOU!)

So, I'm pressing on and keeping with my routine. I will wait a week to weigh myself because I can't take more emotional crap, and I've been weighing myself every 4 weeks anyway.

Thanks for telling us Brenda. Kudos to you for taking the steps to do what is right for you xo

I´m so sorry you´ve had to deal with abusive crap. Mad respect for leaving after so many years. I´m sure life won´t all be roses and unicorns going forward but you´ve proven you know what´s best for you these past 15 weeks. All the hugs if you have a use for them and stay safe.

Always can use hugs... even cyber ones!! Thanks for you kind words!! :)

Week 16 in the books! 3 out of 4 workouts (doing #4 today, making up for yesterday). Did weights for two weeks, and then slacked off. Will try to pick those back up after the new year, maybe cutting back to/ 3 cardio sessions.

Weigh in just now: 216 pounds!! That's 24 lbs in 16 weeks. 17 lbs to go until I hit my goal of 199, ha! ((My first goal anyway... can't think past that)). Size 16M is very comfortable, not squeezing in them anymore!

I had two parties this week, so food was C+/B-. I went for lower calories (didn't gorge myself at the parties), instead of low carbs because of the selection.

I am not sure if I mentioned this, but I've been drinking a protein shake after every workout, and it has helped tremendously with leg pain through the night. I highly recommend: GNC Lean Shake. Chocolate is good and banana is good. I only drink it right after my workout on the drive home. I don't use it to supplement dinner, but it helps me to eat half a dinner and not snack late at night. Before the shakes, I was driving straight to the nearest drive through for some chicken, inhaling it! Probably not good. LOL!

Okay... next couple weeks are going to be rough. Kids home from college, family in town, more Christmas parties, and then holiday dinners! Wish my body knew it's Christmas and would cut me some slack!!

Happy Holidays Everyone!!

Limiting the damage during holiday season is worth sooo much. If only because not feeling bloated and gross all the time helps to stick with activity between the festivities. Glad to hear you don´t get as crampy, by the way. If a protein shake can keep you away from fast food it´s definitely worth the calories.

Hi, Brenda. Limiting the damage is possible over Christmas. I just don't find it worth a month of trying to get rid of the excess that can pile on too easily with a couple of weeks of "Oh, it's Christmas. What the heck". A little bit of most things is enough for me.
I hope you have a loving Christmas with your family :grouphug:

Week 17 finished! I only got 3 workouts in due to a hurt foot. Glad it was not "injured". At my age, you never know until the next day, but it was fine. Just a fluke, I guess. It was a good decision not to push it and turn it into an injury. Still eating pretty good.

Always glad to hear that people listen to their bodies instead of pushing them until they break. Also: three workouts aren´t bad at all!

Week 18 finished!! 3 workouts in this week. Kids are home from college and taking up much of my time.. and that's a good thing! Being newly separated, they come first while they are here. My daughter did one workout with me... what a treat! Food was good this week, minus one exception... a piece of pecan pie. Worth it every once in awhile!! I will weigh myself at week 20 (trying to only look once a month), but I bet I have only maintained. Clothes, 16M feel good.. not too tight or loose. Maintaining through December/holiday.. not going to beat myself up. January tho.. weights, here I come!! UGH!! :)

I hope you are getting through this often stressful time Brenda? Hope you are getting lots of love from your kids xoxo

That is very sweet of you. It was a very awkward Christmas. The kids are looking forward to going back to school, and that is sad, but know that is what they need. It won't always be like that. I am taking the week off workouts, but already put it in my calendar to hit it hard January 1st!! With all the New Year's Resolution'ers... hahaha!!!

I thought it may have been an awkward time. It will get easier for them as they get used to it. Here's to an excellent 2018!
