I leave out at 4 a.m. tomorrow. Will be gone till late Monday night. I am setting my goal to post a loss for this time period...even if it is a small one. Gonna try and use the hotels fitness facilities at least twice. This will be hard due to very busy schedule. I am trying to really build a firm resolve on this one. I am gonna feel like crap if I get back and have regained 5 lbs that I just lost. And belive me I could easily do this. I JUST CANT LET THAT HAPPEN!
 
Probably the best advice is to do the best you can, and just avoid saying "the hell with it" just because you can't control your environment as well as normal. Every little bit of discipline you can manage helps.
 
I am back from the trip. Mixed results on my eating. I definately ate less that usual on a business trip but did indulge a couple of times. I have not weighed in yet I wanted one day to get back to normal. I have been perfect so far today and plan a bike ride tonight. Then I will hit the scale in the morning and see how I fared.

Hey Feeling gooderererer! Nice to see ya back. No I am just about to try and get my head around July goals. I go on vecation in about 10 minutes and I am trying to make this the vacation -o-fitness! Not going anywhere just might do some fun stuff in Dallas. Thats some fun non-caloric stuff!

Thanks for making me think about July...I think I can make some real progress in July!

Report of post trip weigh in....drum roll......lost 2lbs....now at 283.2. That about 6 lbs away from my 2009 low. So stoked that I did not let the trip totally defeat me rode bike today. Ate almost perfect (about 200 above goal but well within loss range)
Goals for July
1. Lose 12 lb
2. Ride bike 150 miles
 
Hello friends (good to see ya Sarah!)
Scratching my head this morning. Weighed in and I was up 3.5 lbs.
Let's see 3.5 lbs is 12000 calories. In the last 3 days I have only consumed about 6000 calories? What's up with that? Oh well I just need to keep plugging away and I know it will swing back. I am ready to up my exercise a bit. Must be water....thats just got to be it.

It's probably fluid or some other thing causing the minor weight gain.

Good job on the cycling. I got my money on you in next year's Tour.

Day 2 of the conquest of July!
Just rode 11 miles in 40 minutes 30 seconds.
My goal is 150 miles and it's July 2 and I got 21 miles in already!
Feel really good right now. Still battling the evening eating a bit but not doing that bad.
Don't want to go back (I've been there and it sucked)
Carpe July!

Heya Brawny! I posted my protein bar recipe on my diary for you! Its so good!

Mask you do a lot of cycling! I used to cycle the 15mins to tafe and back (30ish mins a day) and kid you not, just from that small trip I felt like my poor butt was permanently bruised. Bike seats are NOT my friend! Good onya though, doing incredibly well.
 
Thanks Lucy! I will hit that thread and get that recipe! My sons are 17 and 15 and really athletic. They will inhale those bars!
Also I do my biking in my study. It's a stationary bike . When I bought it I told the sales guy I was looking for a recliner with pedals! I can't handle little bike seats yet (maybe never) on those little seats I get off and feel like I just had a prostate exam ha ha.
