AGood job on fighting off the urge to do fried burritos, or whatever that greasy thing was,...good choices have already led to weightloss'!! Good job:hurray::hurray:

I'm so glad you are feeling good about your program...it's personal...weightloss is an inside job...and you are so right, we don't have to be perfect, just consistent and as they say"it's not what you eat between Christmas and New Years that makes a difference...it's what you eat between New years and Christmas that's what counts!"

Good choices to you Brawny

Woo Woo! Always remember to take time to enjoy the victories.

Bypassing the greasy burritos today leads to not bypassing arteries in the future.

F.G.-That is freakin profound man! I mean it. One of my last remaining uncles had bypass surgery monday....it is our family disease. My dad died of a heart attack at 58.

Im gonna let that one soak in.

Exercised again this morning....7 out of last 10 days...ate 1850 yesterday.....Baby steps in progress.

I have those same heart issues in the family so it's all too familiar. I find it does make good motivation to keep these things in mind whenever the eating starts to slip.

Sounds like your exercise snowball is really starting to roll. You getting a lot of firewood ready for the cool winter months ahead?

A friend gave me a dead hackberry tree that was big....got a cord out of that....splits pretty good but burns fast. I have alot of pecan down on my property so I need to cut some of that up and that will do me with our mild Texas winters.

Snuck on the scale this morning because I new I had been on track for the last 3 days.....284.8....Theres another couple of lbs gone.

Somebody pass me some salad!

Another tiny victory to report

Rode bike this morning (4 out of 5 days since Monday) '

I rode for the same time that I have been but I rode four tenths of a mile further.....That means I am riding at a better pace!

Tranlation= Brawny is gettin in a little better shape.

Who would have thunk it?

Also...I got an ipad with internet cell service on it and it works from my house....Remember Rancho del Brawney is out in the boonies so I havent had internet out there. I will be able to post on the weekends and in the evenings now!

Life is good people....savor the good things and that will get you through the bad.

Welcome to the information superhighway! Not only back to the forum but back 7 or 7 days now.

And great work on the cycling. Nice to include activities like that allow you to track progress and improvements. Makes working out seem a little more like a video game

Ok now you got me thinking......

Weightloss videogame titles....hmmmmm

Modern calorie warfare

Angry diet birds

Starvecraft

Can I get a drum roll?

Hey Brawny! Looking at that ipad from home yet? Good job on the bike riding...always good to see all the victories...big and small!

You got me fired up about a good workout after a rest day...and today I did have a good workout...pushed it a little more (did some more steps) just by thinking what you wrote in my diary..."always good to have a rest day, and your workout was great the day after"...If Brawny's workout was great...mine should be great too...and it was! Thanks for your encouragement!

The good news--- 284.6 this morning down a bit more than a pound this week.

The bad news- My sinuses are going nuts. Ragweed is really bad in Texas right now. I did not exercise this morning. I may try later today. This is just one of those crappy things life throws at you that can derail a plan....I gotta fight through it. I cant get off plan after only 2 weeks. I have like 8 more pounds to lose to even get back to where I was.

More good news- Both my son's football teams (one plays varsity and one plays Junior varsity) are undefeated. And the Cowboys won. (It was ugly but they won). It was a football intensive weekend.

Great progress. Losing a pound a week is very sustainable especially since you're building muscle as you go.

Sorry to hear about the ragweed situation. Might be time to build a Brawny air bubble around the stationary bike for a couple weeks.

Good luck with the allergies

Urgh feeling you on the sinus problems. I'm awesome now I'm on holidays, but when I go home it's out in the middle of the desert. SO much dust!!!! It's like eye infection/ sinusitis central!!! Hope you feel better, you're doing awesome!!

AHey Brawny,
Congratulations on your weight loss...a good rate at 1 pound a week is quite sustainable! The best way to go!
Hope your sinus trouble is short lived, and you are able to breath again like normal again soon!

Sarah

Tiny victory report- Fought through the sinus stuff and exercised this morning....added 3 minutes to my bike time (I said it was a tiny victory right?)...almost back to a respectable amount of time on the bike.

Ok so I was thinking......Its having more tiny victories than tiny defeats that counts. I mean a tiny victory like not hitting the drive thru window or skipping dessert. So maybe 25 tiny victories = a pound lost?.....I kinda like thinking of it that way.

I like your mini victory way of thinking. I have done similar in the past along the lines of passing up a piece of cake and then thinking, well there's 35 minutes of exercise I won't have to do to make up for eating that.

Thanks for your words of encouragment guys...I really need them today.....I am really hungry today for some reason. I failed to make a healthy lunch this morning so I was facing the dangers of eating out. I went to subway. I am about 300 calories over where I should be at mid-day but if I can just go a bit light tonight I will be okay. Not a tiny victory but a stategic retreat.
