2 boys ages 17&15 and 2 girls 23&17 I have 2 granddaughters 5&3
I have been over weight since well before my teen years
only once I got down small when I was 18 I got down to 160 but after I had my first daughter I spreaded and after I had my twins I got huge with them and I never lost the belly after haveing them
now to jump to present I got to my altimate weight of 384 I am 5'5 when I go to the Dr.I couldnt weight on there scales because they didnt support my weight couldnt use the pressure cuff because I was so big it would pop off and not to mention I was out of breath so bad I would have to sit till I caught my breath.
and go and do things with my children I would have to sit and watch I tried to play but I tired out so easy of course I have thyroid the one that makes you gain weight
I am on medication for it we got that regulated but I finially got to the point that I didnt want to feel like I did and I wanted to get out and do things with my children enjoy my grandchildren when they come so I joined my local tops chapter here in my town and so did my sister we both have thyroid so does our mom but she had the one where you lose weight rapidly but shes under control so me and my sister we are scrapbooking our weight loss we measure every week
as far as a diet I try to keep a food diary and I try to go by 1500 calorie and 20 fat gram diet

Welcome

Hey Brat, Thanks so much for posting in my diary. Welcome to the forum. Congratulations on you success so far, and on starting the journey. You are on your way girl. Will pop in from time to time to see how things are going for you.:)

Hey brat, I'm glad that you finally got around to posting about yourself. You can definitely do this. I just bought a scale this summer and hadn't really weighed myself in 15 years. It sure is easy to avoid the truth about your weight when you can't see it. You've had a great start. Keep it up

Thanks ljay and cannon
I have a hard time staying motivated i have to make my self walk but after i get up and going i am so glad i did i know once you get use to it you feel bad when you dont do something i have actually felt good buying some new cloths usually i hate trying cloths on anywhere and yes i read your storry about the scales cannon i left feedback about you haveing a good humor i love seeing people with a sense of humor did you replace the scales?

Hey Brat--I did replace the scale and the new one works very well. Keep up the good work and post more. I had a hard time finding your diary :)

Hi brat,

Hi brat! Thank you for visiting my diary and posting. It's so nice to get encouragement.

That's wonderful you have lost 37 pounds already.

I hope you keep posting in your diary. I know you are encouraging people in their diaires. You might ask a moderator here to move your diary from the Newcomers to the Diary section - so we can find you more easily and feed you back some of the wonderful attention you give.
