These are all the ways I have around me to get fit. To lose weight. To be healthy. There's no reason for this not to happen. Some of these things cannot be done year round... especially the outside stuff. But I have so many other options around me to help me exercise.

At one point I wanted to apply for the biggest loser. Now seeing the contestants on the season I was applying for... I was not big enough. And these people needed it a lot more than I did. And I know I don't need someone on my ass to do this. I can do it myself.

I'm watching the Biggest Lower right now. It ends at 10. Then I watch another show from 10-11. After that I will be going on a walk with Dan, and then MAYBE doing an exercise DVD if I am not too tired. But more than likely, I will be too tired. Because I want to wake up early tomorrow morning to go to the gym before I get into everything else I have to do for the day.
 
I have a list of things I need to get done today before I have to leave for work at 3:45pm. Its currently 9:30am. Dan and I have to go down to the Plymouth Walmart to buy him a new pair of glasses(half hour away), then i want to go to the gym for an hour (which is a half hour in the OTHER direction from my house) and i need to be back by 2:45 to take a shower and get ready for work.

Today will be a good day to see just how much i have time for.
 
I've been watching Biggest Loser, too! Such a great way to get motivated. I have a few of the workout DVDs as well, and have a goal of doing one of the workouts at least twice this week. Are you rooting for a certain team to go to the end just yet? I know it's kind of early and I always end up changing my mind later. I do hope that Abby goes far. She has been through so much with her family passing away. I sobbed my eyes out the first episode when she talked about them! Anyway, I'm glad that you are still on this forum!

When I think I need a push I am going to challenge myself. I have been in a rut for the past couple of days, so tomorrow I am challenging myself to run/jog 1 mile. The first challenge for the Biggest Loser, and my first challenge that I am issuing myself. Of course I am going to the gym tomorrow too. I will do the challenge on the treadmill.

I'm running 1 mile in my neighborhood, and 1 mile at the gym. I'm going to work my ass off! Literally .
 
:seeya: Hi Brandy! It's been awhile since i popped in here. I haven't been on WLF a whole lot since May was born. Babies take up so much of a mother's time, I tell ya. But it's all good.

I'm glad to see you're doing well. Keep up the great work! :)
 
Karl-thanks for the bday wishes. you are the only one on any of my forums that said it. lol.

Since my 21st I've been drinking more than normal-so that can't be good for calories. lol. But hey-I just turned 21. ahaha. My eating is if-ish. It could be better, it could be worse. I got Wii fit for my bday, so using that is pretty fun and good exercise. Tomorrow I have a day off and I'm going to spend some time at the gym.

And I have 5 minutes before I have to leave for work, and I'm not even dressed yet. Time to go!!!!
 
Hey you, where the heck have you been? Been mighty quiet around here and you're one of the people I've been missing.

N/P, we're all busy, just miss you is all.
 
I've been away from this place for far too long, and have been making some bad decisions. I need to make it a priority to stop in here at least once a day to keep myself in check. I'm naughty. lol.

I have work today from 12-10:30pm, so its going to be a long day. I don't want to snack at work, but lately I feel like I'm lacking any motivation at all. I want to turn that feeling around and keep myself going. So maybe if I start coming back in here and posting my food, then I will feel some sort of commitment towards eating healthy.

Since I have no time to go to the gym today, I will make sure to play my Wii Fit when I get home. For at least 30 minutes. I will probably pay for something to eat for dinner at work today-there is nothing to eat at home-SERIOUSLY. and I don't want to skip lunch AND dinner. But I will try to make some sort of healthy choice. I hate feeling like my mind is back at square one.

OKay, need to go get ready for work now.
 
I keep running out of time to stop in here. I am really busy with work,chores, school, homework,etc. But enough is enough.

I've been losing weight-mainly to the fact that I don't have time to eat. lol. Exercise has been restricted to all the running around I do. But if I make myself specific to-do lists for each day I will make sure to find time to do everything that needs to be done.

As for now, I have work 1-11:30pm. I need to go hop in the shower and get ready. Tomorrow I am going to go to the gym for a few hours. Dan and his mother are taking some kind of class from 8am to 4pm.So I will take advantage of it to have hours to myself at the gym to work out and center myself, plan out my goals, etc. I'll make the plans for what I want to do in my workout a little later when I get home from work, and of course I will get together all the food/water/ipod/etc that I will need.

I will post everything about when I get back tomorrow night. :D

I have a day off today! I still have a lot of stuff that needs to get done, but I don't have school or work or a family thing to do today!!

I woke up around 10am today which was nice.There was a sense of relaxation because I didn't have to plan my every moment so I could leave for some place on time. I sat in bed with Dan and watched TV until a bit after 11am.

When we got up and finally went upstairs I had a salad with lettuce, carrots, red cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes, and a little bit of feta cheese with 4 croutons, and some of my Tastefully Simple Asian Honey Mustard Dressing. Its not the healthiest dressing, but its my FAVORITE, and I only use a very little bit. Then I had a few bites of chicken breast with panko... probably 1/16th of a breast. Plus 4 bites of stuffing. Then I was too full to finish.

Right now I am going to spend the next hour relaxing and watching TV or playing a video game. Then I will probably get my gym clothes on and head off to the gym for a while. Treadmill, bike, strength training machines, stairmaster if I'm feeling adventurous. lol. I am really hoping that Dan will come with me, but if not I still pledge to go.

I am going to put my mind to it, and find time to go to the gym every day. Even if I can only find time for 30 minutes. It will be worth it in the long run.

I'll come back later tonight to post my workouts, and I will post my fitness goals for the rest of the year. :D
 
Alright!!! :D!! That's the Attitude of a WINNER!!!...The great part is that 30 mins, even 20 mins...will change your habits, and will get you RESULTS!!!

...I'm with you on this! Let's do it and work out EVERYDAY!! :D! I know we can do it!!!.....I'm gonna go to the gym tonight too!!...Just because you are and I want to start like you ;)!!!...I can make it to the gym for 30 mins.

I am so bad about coming on here. I will do it attempt to do it every night before bed.

I just got back from the gym, I was there for about an hour. I did 20 minutes on the bike, burned 136 calories (or so it said). I was DRIPPING sweat. And I was going as fast as I could move my legs. But... I was only on level 5 of 10, because the higher the level, the more the muscle right about my knee starts to BURN, and I hate that burn, so I'd rather just go at a MILDLY uncomfortable level, and as fast as possible. I was proud. Then I used an ab machine, a leg press that worked backwards as far as I'm concerned. (the chair moved, not the press), and I used a couple of arm-working machines as well. I'll be honest,I didn't count reps. I did them until I felt like stopping. Using new weight machines gets me nervous because I don't want to look like a fool if I'm doing it wrong, so the fact that I had the courage to use the new ones in the first place makes me feel good.

I felt very worked out, after about 40-45 minutes, so I went home. I have to go pick up my sister from daycare, and spend time at my dad's house. I came home and craved a salad, so thats what I had. I'll be truthful-on the way to the gym I was craving Taco Bell.hahaha. And when I left I was just craving SALADDDDDDD. weird. I'm happy with that!

So I had a salad of courseeeee. Spring Leaves with cucumber, Very minimal feta cheese, a few croutons, a few onion crisps, and asian honey mustard dressing. Okay, I'm not being SUPER health conscious about everything. I ate a salad instead of fast food, instead of tacos, instead of a grilled cheese... I chose veggies, and a hand-full of grapes afterward. I'm happy with myself. Very happy.

Things are going wonderfully today. And I hope to keep on this track. :D

Tomorrow I might or might not go to the gym, I might choose Wii Fit instead, because its closer, and then use the weight bench in the other room. But Going to the gym gets my spirit wayyyyy up. So I'll think about it, and I'll check back in later tonight.

MISS YOU GUYSSSSS. I'll stop by everyone's journals later tonight. Promise Promise. ^-^
 
I got a late start to everything this morning,so I didn't get to the gym. But I did a 20 minute strength training work out at home.

For breakfast I had a something that sort of sounds gross, but was delicious. It was a BBQ chicken and scrambled egg wrap with the wrap being whole wheat, flax,and blah blah blah. Healthy wrap. lol. YUMMMM. My step mom showed it to me from a website with recipes for people who have gastric bypass surgery. I loved it! Weird combo-but amazing.

I have to leave for work in an hour, so I am going to find something healthy to make myself for lunch... whatever it is that I can find around the house.lol.

And for dinner, I am going to be at work, and since I work in a restaurant it is filled with fried and unhealthy foods. lol. I don't have much-if anything to bring with me, so I might order a grilled chicken breast (cooked with no oil), and some broccoli. That is always healthy right? Hmmm.

Okay, I'm running late with everything that I have to do. So, I don't have time to update much more than that.
 
Happy Halloween everyone!!

Today I want to have a relaxing day, but with some gym time tossed in.

I just finished carving my pumpkin, and Dan is still upstairs carving his. We did it late, but its a fun way to spend Halloween morning/afternoon. For lunch I ate a Kashi Vegetable pizza. It was a whole grain with flax crust, and all sorts of healthy veggies. For a health pizza-it was pretty good.

I want to go out shopping for a little while today. I want to have a small cheat day and buy myself a bag of Halloween candies and watch scary movies tonight. I also want to find a cheap Styrofoam pumpkin to carve later tonight, so its a permanent Halloween decoration for the house. I want to hit the gym and use some arm, leg, and ab workout machines. I'm not sure if I'll actually make it,but the gym is opened until 8pm, so maybe at 4:00 when Dan goes to work I will drop him off and then head over to the gym and use the treadmill for 30 minutes, and then use some machines.

My job wants to make me a manager when I leave school... I'm not sure if I've already mentioned that or not. So I am going to have quite a few BUSY weeks ahead of me, next week I work every day except for Tuesday and Thursday when I have school.... and I'm going to have to find some gym time in there somewhere. I'm going to try to think ahead on that one.

Now that I think about it...... I'm not going to be able to go to the gym tomorrow, so I really MUST go today.

I am going to find a way to make today productive but relaxing. HAPPY HALLOWEEN WLFers!
