Brandy's Success Diary

Dan is working a double today, from 12 to probably 10pm. So I have quite a bit of time to get stuff done. I plan on doing all my laundry, dishes, trash, and vacuuming. I have the week off, so I'm not sure if I really want to do any homework. I will be getting in plenty of DVDs though. And healthy eating! :D

I spent like 2 1/2 hours last night cutting my own hair. I really only gave myself bangs (for the first time since I was like 7), and the reason it took me so long was because I cut off a 1/4 inch each time to make sure I could keep them even. They are completely different then what I'm used to, but they are really cute! I will have to post some pictures. I know what I want do to for the rest of my hair cut.. but I don't think I will do it myself.

I feel very confident about getting to my goal by summertime. And that makes me even happier today.

I even found a nice cheap bikini that I want to wear for this summer! It will only cost $30, and that will be a great reward. I've never even worn a bikini! :hurray: I'm getting closer and closer to my goal, and I can feel it coming. I can feel the confidence and how nice the summer will be.

I cut my own bangs. And I look completely different. Here's a pic, but you can only really see my bangs, my hair is pulled back in a pony tail.

aww. thank you. I might make it my av. i'm not sure about them. I want them, but I haven't had bangs in 13 years. lol. I feel like its not.. ME. But I think they are cute, so I am going to keep them! :D
 
Breakfast: Nothing.
Lunch: 3 oz chicken breast, 1/2 cup peppers and onions, 1 sweet potato
Snack: plum
Snack: 1 serving cereal with 1/2 cup skim milk
Dinner: Sticky Chicken (not sure what side yet)
snack: plum, some sort of veggie.

I want to follow the Biggest Loser 4-3-2-1 pyramid. 4 fruits and veggies, 3 servings protein, 2 whole grains, 1 extra (200 calorie limit)

I'm in a pretty happy mood today. I have another day to myself because Dan is working yet another double shift. We will go on a bike ride tomorrow, and the rest of the week we will do outdoor activities, so today I am going to keep up with household chores, do between 2 and 4 exercise DVDs, and some random girly things.

I can't wait for SUMMER!!!
 
I have been in a good mood all day today! and Dan even gave me $20 to spend online so I bought some Avon products that were on sale! I'm excited! lol. I bought mascara, concealer, hair spray, shampoo and conditioner. I love sales. lol.

In 10 minutes I'm going to do the bootcamp DVD, and maybe some yoga too.
 
Spring BREAK! I have bribed my boyfriend to train my hard the next 3 weeks so I can reach my goal, and in return I will clean for a year... which I do anyways, just now I won't nag him to help me. lol.

Tomorrow I plan on going on a nice bikeride! :D
 
Today I went bowling with Danny, went out grocery shopping to pick up a few healthy items, and went on a 20 minute walk. Overall it was very good. Its nice to be on vacation because I have nothing else to really worry about except for getting in exercise and having fun.

Dan challenged me to do 2 BL dvds today, so I will do Boot Camp and Yoga. I'm going to get to my goal in the next 3 weeks even if it causes me blood and tears after every work out. Then I will have 7 weeks to lose 15 pounds, and then 8 weeks after that to lose another 15 pounds to reach my goal summer weight. It will be COMPLETELY possible if I can only reach my goal this next 3 weeks. So I really need to concentrate! After that it will only be 2 pounds per week until I get to 160. My goal after that is only to lose 15 (so I will be at 145) by October 13th, which is 12 weeks.

Lots of 15 pound goals! lol. Anyways, I am going to reach this goal. I am going to, because I want to, and I know I can if I try.
 
Hey there! I love how you've split it up into 15 pound goals!! :D Makes it so much easier on the psych. So how many more do you have to lose the next three weeks to meet your goal?

Well, I really wanted to lose 16 more pounds, but that is a bit extreme because the last 2 weeks I didn't really go anywhere. Only a .8 loss between the 2 weeks. So I will be happy with an 11 pound loss bringing me finally down to 195. I am still going to have to work my butt off though!
 
I'm taking a break in between my DVDs, the yoga actually felt very refreshing. I'm up to 55 minutes for the day so far! *clap clap clap* Now if I do my Bootcamp I can bring it to 85 minutes! I feel so good after I get a good workout. And since I don't have school this next week I will have a ton of time to do it! I think this week will be a huge weight loss!

I've decided not to count my calories this week, I need a break. I am still going to find out how many calories I am eating... like before I put something into my mouth I will find out its nutritional value... but I spend SO much of my time writing down calories, and adding them up, and typing them here and there; and I need a break from that. I just want to have a fun and relaxed week. And I bet it will be my biggest weight loss week yet.

I am so determined that I can reach my goal. It won't be easy... but I think I can push myself far enough that I will get there in time. And I'm going to have fun doing it. And I'm going to be proud afterward.
 
Hey, I'm new here and just reading your story because it is interesting! I think it is good to take a break from counting calories because part of losing weight is learning how to know when you're full and not needing to count them. At least that's what I"m hoping for! Have a good spring break.

Good luck on your goals and I hope you have a steller break! I am glad to hear you get a bit of relaxing.

Dan and I are trying to adopt a kitten. We found a really good adoption place that we will adopt from. But right now we need to save up just a little more money. And we want to make sure we can bring home the perfect kitty for us, so we are going to stop back in there every once in a while and check up on what cats they have. We really want it for our anniversary present to eachother, which isn't until May 27th... so we have some time.

Hi Brandy.. Congrats on your loss so far! You have Great goals and I like how you write them down for a reminder. Stay Positive and dont give up. Good luck with the kitty adoption. I hope you have a Wonderful day and dont forget to drink some WATER :)
