Brandy's Success Diary

I am all up to date with my Nutrition class. It is VERY interesting, and I think it will help me with my diet and exercise regime. I will post some interesting facts later.

Oh I bet you're going to enjoy it alot, I know I did but it was so long ago I kinda wish I was taking it now when I was actually USING the info. I think I got rid of my nutrion book too when I was cleaning out our apartment ;/. Anyway I don't know if they'll do this in your class but I remember them taking out plastic hotdogs and bologna, then holding up test tubes full of fake fat and showing us how much was in each item. It was so gross that alot of us lost several pounds over the next week or so, lol. I know I couldn't eat hotdogs for a while.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWW. I am taking the class online... so they can't do that. lol. But I'm sure I'll still learn about it!
 
Definitely...then we could actually afford to have one since they're getting such a great idea we'd get one for free :) I'd want them to throw in one of those little robot vacuums too while they're at it.....
 
That would be so great! vacuuming= something I always put off! lol. It would also need to come with a calorie/fat/carb/sugar free chocolate dispenser that gave us AMAZING chocolate for when we lost a pound!

p.s. Chocolate that actually causes us to burn more calories...now there's an idea :)
 
I'm in a good mood. I made a list for myself about having a "well rounded" day.

*exercise for 30 minutes-in any way.
*Eat fruits, veggies, and protein
*Do school work if needed
*clean for 15 minutes at least... even if its been a busy day
*work if you have to
*do something creative.

This is my list to ensure every day can become a good day.

OK. I'm going to play sims now. Cuz thats what I do on Friday nights. lol. I'm such a dork!

I think that nutrition class will great for your diet.

I need all of your advice. I made my goal for 180 ( or 170 I can't remember) that I would get my hair cut. But I REALLY want my hair cut. I also already bought my nice razor I wanted. I'm going to try to waiit and use it until I hit the 199. I don't know what to do!!! I set goals, but I want them NOW! LOL.
 
Definitely wait until 199 to use the razor--it'll help you stay discplined to get there faster. As to the haircut, what about making that your reward for hitting 190 or 195?
 
good idea kim. I think I'll make it a goal for 190....and again at 170. I think it might be easier than I think to wait and use the razor. 202.8 this morning!!! If I stay on track for the rest of the week, I might get to that goal. Drinking a ton of water is doing the trick for me!
 
Yay Brandy! I knew that weight would go back down quickly. That is one nice thing about TOM I guess.. weight goes up but then it goes right back down. My friend swears by water. She said when she lost a lot of weight she was drinking a ton of water... and I mean a ton. I don't know how she drank that much! I am lucky if I get 30ozs but she was up at like 200ozs on some days. Just crazy! lol I hope you had a good weekend. It's hard not to buy the things you want right away but Kim is right. You need to wait. Otherwise the reward system loses it's value you know? If those rewards don't work maybe you could switch a few up. The haircut is a good thing to wait on because you don't NEED one right now. It would just be nice:) Stay strong. Those numbers will come before you know it!

Well I'm new to the reward system...I'm like you once I want something I want it. I haven't picked anything specific though for my rewards. But anyway as far as the hair goes I just got a perm and I'm glad I didn't wait. I haven't felt good about my appearance in a while but my sister-in-law did such a good job that I KNOW my hair looks cute. It makes me feel so much better that it's only encouraging me more to keep working in the weight so I can have the clothes to do with it. It's exciting to start actually caring about my appearance again even though my weight isn't down that much yet.

So that's my opinion...if you really want the hair cut I'd go for it. Then just pick some new rewards. Up to you on the razor though. I don't know if you can afford it or not but you ever consider setting some money aside each week and having a "spa day" as one of your bigger rewards? I've heard you can do it for like 100 bucks and get pampered from head to toe. Not sure if that's your cup of tea or not but sounded nice :)
 
I had a wonderful weight this morning. 199.6! Woot!! I really really hope I can keep it up for Friday weigh in! I bet I can. I'm on such a high.
 
I can definitely be 199 on weigh in. My birthday is in about a month. I want to lose another 4 pounds by then so I'll be at 195. This weight is coming off REALLY slow because I don't exactly have the hang of EVERYTHING. I never thought I'd be able to see onederland again. But SURPRISE to me. LOL. I'm ok with it going slow... At least it's coming off. Sometimes I get off track for a week or month... And that is what usually destroys me. But right now I think I'm doing great.
 
You are doing great!! Congrats on onderland. It is nice to see that number:) Keep up the fantastic work! Plus I for one can't support quick weight loss. Look at me! I lost all my weight in like 4 months and then it all just came right back on. I think you are doing well!
 
Oh wow Brandy :D I'm so excited for you! I can only imagine what seeing a number below 200lbs must feel like....they'd have to peel me off the ceiling, lol. Good job :D You're gonna have to put up some pics pretty soon of you wearin the new clothes you're gonna have to get cuz you're others won't stay up.
