Brandy's Success Diary

Good for you in taking a stand against the doughnuts. Hope the rest of today goes easy for you... maybe that walk AND DDR?... good luck.

Cheerios with skim milk for breakfast. And I made Dan a big, delicious breakfast, that was better than the doughnuts he originally wanted.

I made him 4 scrambled eggs with diced green pepper, 1 handful of shredded mexican cheese, and 2 slice of american cheese. Then I put it in a wrap and folded it up like a burrito, and then I put in on the griddle on each side until it was crispy. YUMMM. I love cooking. I hate eating eggs. But i sure do love to cook them!

I have no idea whats up for the rest of the day.

1 everything bagel with bacon and cheese for lunch. YUMMM

I'm going to have a taco salad for dinner. (lettuce, taco meat, and mexican cheese)

60 minutes of DDR in a little while.

Sounds like you did great today! Does DDR come automatically on an xBox? My husband has one but the only game I ever play is Tetris! I cannot figure out how to use those controllers, I have no hand-eye coordination!

Keep up all your hard work!

No, you have to buy it. On XBOX it isn't that expensive anymore. Its really fun. Go to a game store (even walmart will have it) and ask them about it, and you just have to buy a dance pad as well... seriously... not expensive at all. It is a blast, and a great work out! You should look into it.

So... I did 60 minutes of DDR. I sort of want to do another hour because I was having so much fun. I bought an iced coffee at Dunkin donuts around 4pm, so DDR isn't exactly tiring me out. (I'm still drinking it) I got it with skim milk and sweet and low.. so i'm still not cheating on the challenge! (no junk, sweets, or alcohol) I haven't had dinner yet, and I honestly don't think I'm going to. I might make something small, but I'm not hungry yet, and therefore don't want to make something big for myself.

I think I will do another hour of DDR and then make Dan dinner, and then maybe relax for the rest of the night with him.

Just finished my exercise for the day. I did 128 minutes of DDR. I burned 770.24 calories, and took 10,096 steps JUST playing that game! I am very happy with myself!

:hurray: :willy_nilly:

OMG. I am falling down dead just thinking about more than 2 hours of DDR. 45 min is my max, or my knees fall off the next day.

lol. I didn't think I could do it either! But I got carried away trying to beat it! lol. Thanks for stopping by diary! :)

My scale is messed up. And its getting me down. After the low calories and LOTS of exercise yesterday.. this morning it said I didn't lose any weight. WTF? But it did say I maintained the 211.4. Ok, Ok I thought. But then an hour later I stepped on the scale... and it said 213.6. WTF?!? That isn't possible. In that hour.. i didn't do anything. I didn't drink, or eat at all! Its just really frustrating. Maybe I can find a spring scale at my mom's house? I'm getting fed up with digital scales. BIG TIME. Its already 55 degrees outside... so when I pick my brother up from detention today I will take 2 of the 3 dogs on a walk. I can't take Sadie because she is pregnant... and she is due soon. She is SOOOOO big, that she can't even go up the stairs anymore. lol. I hope she has her puppies soon!!!

I don't know what I'm going to eat today. I'm really upset about the ridiculous scale. But I know I lose weight from yesterday. I can feel it, and I worked really hard.

I hope I can find a new scale by Friday so I can weigh in properly. GGRRRRRR

Aaaw!! You got crappy scales like me!!!

I was about to stop using them when someone (a doctor who used to post here), told me that she would just use either the highest weight her scales gave her, or the lowest. This reminded me that I used to do that, with my old non-digital ones, which would also bounce around like the digital ones. Of course we both chose to always just consider the lowest weight they were giving us. :D Then the next day compare that to the lowest.

I just started not paying too much attention to my home scales. I consider they give me a number that's within 4 lbs or so of my weight! So they tell me something.

If they pop in a new weight that is bigger than I have seen for a while I take that as a warning, and if they pop in one that's smaller than I have seen before, it's time for a big grin!!!

I feel for you seeing as you want to have a number you can count on for the challenge.

But hey!! You know you did it right - and you feel slimmer!!

These are good things!!!

How exciting about the puppies!! Those mini just-born ones are amazing!!

what do your measurements say?

those are generally more precise than the scale... especially since you're working so hard... the scale is just one means of measuring... and not always te most friendly

I have to agree with Mal also, that the scales rarely ever tell you of your success in weight loss, as even though over the past several months I shrunk in inches, my scale barely budged. I put on a lot of muscle mass with all my working out, so only my clothes and tape measure told me the true story. I'm sure your losing, don't let the scale be your guide, use other forms as well and trust in the way YOU FEEL. We all know when we are having "fat days" or days when we actually feel "thin" and I think we all do. Keep up the great work, it takes a lot of time, but stick with it and plug hard forward, YOU WILL SUCCEED!:waving:

Don't worry about the weigh ins, just try and get as many points on the exercising and bonus that you can, so it will all add up. Even though I'm working out crazy this week and putting in a lot of hours, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if I don't lose any weight, as I usually put on a pound of muscle first before I start losing again. Don't stress yourself about it, it's just a challenge and there will be another one again next month. It's all in fun, and everyone knows your trying, so that's all that really counts. Stay on track okay?? it will eventually start coming off.
Hugs
Kim

I hate how the scale is so unpredictable! But you know what you're doing so you will eventually see it in the numbers. Maleificent is so right about the measurements...everyone always says "Muscle weighs more than fat," but we don't really think about the idea that fat takes up much more room than muscle, so when you are putting muscle on you body is shrinking!

Good luck! You can do it!

Don't worry too much about the scale. Measurements and clothes will tell you the truth. Keep up the good work and don't let such a small thing stop your work!

I despise scales! My water fluctuates a ton because I'm on the pill and probably for other reasons that aren't as clear. I get wacky readings all the time. Focus instead on how your clothes fit and how you feel! :)

Thank you all for stopping by! i appreciate the support. It is really helpful to me! I haven't been on in a few days... but I have stayed to the challenge goals, exercised, and Dan got me a hamster! I just got him today, he is a black european hamster that I named Mushu (Moo-Shoo). He has a straight thin white line down his belly. He's so friendly. He is my weight loss friend!! hahhaa. Long story... I'll explain some other time.

I have only had a chicken patty today. I have been so happy to play with Mushu. I am going to have some veggies... and I am going to get in a few hours of DDR tonight...I want to exercise as much as I can before weigh in tomorrow. I still weigh 211.4, and I want to see if I can lose anymore. I'm ok with that weight though. My goal for this week was 211. 8, so I'm still a little ahead of track. I'm ok with taking it slow.

Last night I had a buffalo chicken salad with ranch dressing, and I ate so much of it that I felt guilty afterwards even though it was a salad. And I had a slice of Pita bread too. OMG, It made me SOOOO Full.

I'm going to go get some exercise in, and plan a healthy dinner, as well has check out the challenge for next week.

LOVE YOU GUYS!!!! Thanks for all the help and support!
