Brandy's Success Diary

i can see how tough it is becoming. Maybe I will start one. I might copy your idea- the way your doing the halloween one. Thank you again sooo much for adding me. I'm sorry if i caused any troubles.

Good morning Brandy! Glad you found yourself in your mirror! It is amazing what positive thoughts will do. I have the same issue when I look in the mirror. We should ease off ourselves a bit;) Glad you have a day off to catch up! There is lots to do. me and my little one are sick so our days off is full of us resting:( Hopefully we'll be better by next week! Hope you have a great weekend and good luck on the challenge:)

N/P I hope you enjoy your wekend and challange it should be lots of fun
as long as no 1 gets hurt haha :rotflmao:.Tammy

Hey!!! thanks for dropping by my spot. I'm glad we are starting this challenge soon, I sooo need the added motivation.

Good luck with the weight in tomorrow.

Can't wait to see the bonus part. Hmmm mysterious.

GO HOUSE ON WEIGHTLOSS HILL!!!!!

The challenge was to drink 1/2 your weight in water! How amazing. That should definitely get the pounds off soon!!

Mishi- I hope you and your son feel better soon.

Tammy- Your challenge saved me. i will be so much more motivated now.

MoonGoddess- GO TEAM 2!! We can SO rock this challenge.

Ok. So i have come to realize that the food list I put up in the mornings is more of a guideline then a definite.

My breakfast was the same.

I just ate lunch, and i had a yogurt (100 cals) and 4 forkfuls of angel hair pasta. With a TINY bit of sauce. I took 4 bites because when i was done with my yogurt I was still hungry, and I Took some advice and tried adding complex carbs to my lunch. (i think pasta is complex carbs. I still don't understand though)

My dinner is going to be baby burgers. SO i will eat 1, maybe 2. Depending on what else is for dinner. I have my snack for the rest of the day is the 90 calorie granola bar I was going to have with lunch, and No baby carrots today.

I am definitely excited about the challenge to start tomorrow. The Halloween one, and the 2 lbs a week one. I am so pumped up.

I cleaned my room, and I left out my pair of jeans i am hoping to fit into again by Xmas at the LATEST. Maybe by Halloween If I'm really good. What great motivation. I have SOOO many pairs of pants that I refuse to through away because some day i know I will fit back into them.

Since being on the site and updating a lot keeps me so happy and concentrated on losing weight... I will post a lot. Sorry if its pointless babble...but as long as it helps me I dont want to stop. :rotflmao:

I have SOOO many pairs of pants that I refuse to through away because some day i know I will fit back into them.

I'm the same way... JUST in case! I did throw out the ridiculous ones from high school. I seriously doubt I will ever see 3/4 & 5/6 again, nor do I think I want to, but a 7/8 might be nice! Its a ways off & would take a major weight loss.

Anyway good luck & glad the site is giving you the support needed. I have been more focused since finding it as well. Also gives me somewhere to be accountable & I don't feel like I am the only one doing this any more. :)

Hi there!
I'm Paul,
I just wanted to drop by and say Hi. We're on the same Halloween Challenge team. I'll be stopping by to cheer you on ! Best of luck to you !
Paul :D

Hi Brandy,
Stopped by to check out your story since we're in the HC together. Ok, here's my two cents of advice about the baby thing: You are soo young right now. YOu have your whole life ahead of you. Enjoy the rest of your teens and your early 20s--once you have children your whole life will change. No longer will you be able to just do whatever you want on the spur of the moment, everything revolves around that baby. Not to mention they are very expensive. And you are just starting college, which would make things very difficult to do. I say, finish college and have a great time there. Once you're done, then think about it. And I would make sure that you are in a committed relationship with someone you intend to spend the rest of your life with--preferrably married. Being a single parent is very difficult--not just for you, but also for your child. There are lots of single parents on this forum, so if you don't believe me, ask any of them. I'm sure all of them would prefer to have a spouse around to help. Above all, you have to make sure that you will give a child the best upbringing you can, and that you're not having one for purely selfish reasons. That's just my two cents..lol

Now on to the HC! Let's do this! Exercise is soo important! Don't slack off. Keep up the great work. :hug2::hug2:

Thank you to every one who stopped by. Bikinibound... I completely understand what your saying. I've thought a lot about it. The situation is really hard to explain. But thank you for caring.

I found my new/ old way to do 30 mins of cardio exercise daily. DDR. The simple dancing game. i just did my 30 mins, and burned about 100 calories on EASY. I could play harder levels, and burn even more. I still broke a sweat.

I'm excited for the challenge to start tomorrow!! Go house on weightloss hill!!

I made my goal to get to 189. I haven't broken the 190 barrier in FOREVER. So that is my goal.

I have to wake up early tomorrow morning to head off to my sister's birthday party... SO I think I'm going to go chill out in bed or something.

I'm stuck on a plateau. I've been 105.6 for 3 days in a row. So I'm going to kick it up a notch. I'm going to be SUPER healthy, and also exercise a lot.

Breakfast: 1 yogurt (100 calories)
Lunch: 1 cheeseburger. (lunch at Nana's house before the party)
Snack: granola bar (90 calories)
dinner: Not quite sure.

Exercise: 30 minutes playing DDR
Water: MUST DRINK 102 oz. Thats about 6-7 Waterbottles!!

Yay for the challenge starting! :beerchug:

Good luck on the challenge Brandy! Have a wonderful weekend.... and 105 would be great to be stuck at... ;) he he he take care

Mishi- ahhaa. I meant 205. 6, but yeah 105.6 would be GREAT to be stuck at.

Yesterday went well for my first day of the challenge, but again... no weight loss yet. Its a little after 2pm right now, and I have until 5pm to get ready for work.

Breakfast- 11:30am- grilled cheese sandwich on wheat bread with 2 THIN slices of honey ham, and a little bit of a sliced up tomato. Bread was 120 cal, cheese was 120 calories...and i don't know the rest. But it was all less then 400 i think.

Lunch: 3:00 pm- 100 calorie Strawberry Yogurt and a 90 calorie Chocolate chip granola bar.

Dinner: Break time- 60 calories of Mini Caramel Rice Cakes, and a 90 calorie chocolate Chip granola bar.

Exercise: 30 mins of DDR.

Water: 102 oz. (6 water bottles) I've only drinken 1.5 right now, so i have quite a bit left to drink. No big deal. I have plenty of time today.

Well, since I really only have 2 hours left before I have to leave for work, i'm going to play DDR, and then whatever else.

Also, I think my calories are REALLY low for today. But its also plenty of food for me, especially that I am drinking soooo much water that is making me really full.

STILL at 205.6 today!!!!! I need to lose 2 lbs in the next 5 days. I'll just kick my butt into gear.

Nice job Brandy! I would try to eat a little more protein, though. Looks like your eating is pretty high carb. You need that protein for energy and muscle retention.:)

Hi Brandy! lol wouldn't it be great to say "God I keep eating cheeseburgers and ice cream and I am still stuck at 105.6!" ;) ha ha. We wish!
I am worried a bit about your calories. You are so busy and if you eat like that you aren't going to have energy and you are going to feel bad!! Even just adding a salad! Most of the stuff you are eating is processed. Maybe you can try to get some fresh veggies to carry along with you and snack on? 800 calories was my count and that is too low. If you want to be successful for the long term and get healthy you will need to eat a healthy amount!! At least 1200 calories. Think of how much more you could eat in a day!! I know not all your days are low like this either.... just worry:) Can you tell I am the worrying type;) In fact my friend's aquintance called me "mother hen". Maybe that should be my new name;) lol Hope you have a good day!

I have done my exercise. 35 mins of cardio. I am going to change up my meal plan for today a little bit.

same breakfast and lunch..(because its already been eaten.)

But...

Before I go to work I am going to eat a piece of fruit. (a pluot)

And on my break (aka dinner) I am going to bring celery, carrots and a little bit of dressing. NO caramel rice cakes or another granola bar. I took Bikinibound and Mishi's great advice, and maybe I should eat some more NATURAL foods.

I'm only up to 2 water bottles still. I'm working on my 3rd.

Well, I really need to get ready for work. :D

OH.. and I need to ask.

I am eating to me what seems like plenty of food. It fills me up, and I eat whenever I am hungry. (it's not like I could ever starve myself) If I am eating a lot of very low calorie foods... is it really that bad?

p.s.... I might also add another 100 calories of Cheezits that I've been craving. I thought it would be ok as long as i ate the fruit and veggies.

<3 Brandy

I have been reading around here for awhile and my understanding is that your body needs a certain amount of calories to function. I am surprised you feel so satisfied with that amount of food! I wouldn't but I know we are all different.
From what I see the only thing with the new plan for today that is missing is a meat selection. Chicken is my personal favorite.
If you don't get the right balance of foods in you won't have vitamens and energy for your body to do well and it will hang on to that weight to keep it from starving.- this is my opinion but it's what I have believed.
It's not only calories but what those calories are. You need a good balanced mix of protein, complex carbs (like wheat bread/pasta), and fruits and veggies... You can't get the nutrition you need with only 800 cals. Unless your eating super foods;) j/k. This is a part I am having a hard time with myself but I try to have a balanced meal at least once a day.. usually dinner for me, and the rest of the day I break meals up into mini-meals. 1tbsp of peanut butter and an apple is my favorite so far:) Steve knows a lot about this. He should slide by and put in his 2 cents:)
I hope this helps:) Also if you are baby planning you need to make sure you are taking vitamens. Especially folic acid. If you aren't you might want to look into those:)

Mishi- you are such a big help. I love all of your advice. And after I read it, I went and ate 4 steak tips. Just to make sure I was adding some protein.

Tomorrow I am able to plan every single one of my foods. I am going to work at 5:00 am, and afterwards i am going to my mom's house for the day. I am going to pack a lunch for myself because I want to make sure its healthy. And dinner I will eat at my mom's what she is going to make, because She always makes balanced meals.

So here it is:

Breakfast: Bottle of water, yogurt (100),

Snack: Caramel Rice cakes (60), bottle of water

Lunch: 6 steak tips(?), Green beans (?) bottle of water

Snack: Cheezits(100), Granola Bar (90)bottle of water

Dinner: Not sure yet. bottle of water.

Exercise: 30 minutes of DDr when I get home.

That will get me my exercise for the day, the right amount of water, Healthy foods ( I think its what i need.. protein, vegetables, fruit), and I'll still be able to stay within my calorie limits. Tomorrow is going to be a really great day.

Does all of that look good?

Babies.... I want a baby. But Dan doesn't have a job yet, and i don't think I'm going to plan on it until i'm sure he has a decent job. I just can't plan ahead if nothing is in place yet. And I also want to plan for an apartment first. So I AM going to have a baby with Dan, but I am going to MAYBE put it off a bit longer (the planning for one that is)

Hey Teammate!

Congrats on your weight loss so far! I wanted to say hello and make sure you didn't think I backed out of the Halloween Challenge since I've been AWOL for a few days. This has been an insane weekend for me so this is a one-time copy/paste to all of our teammates. I'll get back to original posts after everyone leaves. I was in a car accident Friday evening. I'm a little sore but fine. My car will need some work, though. I spent most of Saturday getting estimates, grocery shopping and cooking for a group of friends who arrived Saturday evening from the east coast. I went for a long 1-1/2 hour bike ride yesterday morning before everyone got up, and had planned to post here after that, but they were awake when I got back.

I have some self control issues and then me-bashing issues, so I decided on some sneaky meal plans for my friends. They're in my diary so I won't rewrite here, but I'm very proud of myself !

Looking forward to 'losing' with you in the Halloween Challenge!
