Hi ive been on this site a while now but tend to lurk mostly. Last year i saw a picture of me and decided enouugh was enough. Started at 269 and am currently 180. Started running at the start of the year. Have done over 20 races and did my first marathon in june. 2 more marathons this year with the next being this Sunday. The first pic is of me before i started my weightloss and the second is me after i had just finished the marathon:)

Holy hell man, that's fantastic. Being as big as you were, I would expect you to probably have a bit of loose skin. However, if you're running all the time I imagine it's not that big of a problem. You look great, and good job!

No loose skin, guess i was lucky.

Great Work! How many times a week do you run? When you started training for the marathons, how much did your food intake increase?

I add another "Awesome!" to everyone else's.

Your results are what I am shooting for - that shot of you at the end of the marathon is a huge inspiration for me - that's my goal. I want to be that guy.

Thanks everyone:)
In answer to an earlier question, when im in heavy training as i am at the moment im eating nearly 10,000 extra calories a week. Alot of carbs like porraige and stuff like pasta, alot of fruit esp bananas, also seem to be eating alot of brown bread at the moment. Im not advocating for people to do this. I need this extra fuel to run and it gets burned off. In answer to another question i run 6 days a week for 3 weeks of the month then 5 for the last week of the month. Approx 60 miles a week.
As promised here is a pic of me in the finishing straight in the marathon i ran yesterday. Also a personel best of 3h40m26s:)

Time flys when your having fun. Totally forgot about this forum. Ive put on about 5-10 pouns since i was last here. Mostly muscle and mostly on my legs. Still running and have done 25 marathons or longer races. Training for a 24 hours race at the moment, hope to do 110 miles.
