Body Types

Does anyone know anything about the specific body types? Endo/Ecto/Mesomorphs?

I have been steadily losing weight since i started dieting and becoming more active but i dont want to fool myself with a goal i cannot hit due to my body type.. I was extremelly thin as a child, pictures to prove it lol, but inactivity and poor eating habits ballooned me to 240lbs. Thats where i woke up and as ive posted before i have lost over 70lbs to date. I measured my bone structure size by this method i found online (measuring distance of my elbow) and it says im medium bone structure. I have posted pics in the picture section, any help on body type information? please help?

Hold your left hand in front of you, Then with your right hand, rap your middle finger and thumb around your left wrist. If your two fingers do not touch each other then you have a "Large" frame, If they hardly touch they have a medium frame, if they over lap any then you have a small frame.

^This Is very generalized but for most people it will work ok.

I did that, and i know i have a medium frame, its the ecto/meso/endomorph stuff im not sure about. My fingers touch when i wrap my fingers around my wrists.

Heres a link that might help (the info you want is near the bottom of the page.
Bodybuilding.com - Paul Becker - What Is Your Body Type? Take Our Test!

Acording to the site im a Mesomorph ;)

Mesomorphs have a naturally fit body but to maintain it or improve it you should exercise and diet correctly for your type. Strength training can be done more often and for longer sessions then would be good for an Ectomorph, but you must still be carefull not to overdo it. You should train with moderate to heavy weighs and at a moderate pace, not resting too long between sets. You will find you gain muscle quite easy (some women and even men might not want to get too bulky, but this won't happen suddenly. When you are happy with your muscle size simply train to maintain it). Stick to a good healthy diet to keep you lean and muscular, and watch for any slow creeping fat gains. Engage in and enjoy aerobic activities, sports, etc. but do not overdo.

that site helps, but some of the questions i dont know how to answer.. most the questions i can only answer as a fat person, i havent been thin since i was like 9 lol. But i was a really thin child. If i answer as i am right now it will say endomorph, but could it be that once i lose the weight i have gained in the last 15 years (since i was 10) ill reveal a different body type? Who knows what my type is since its been covered for so long lol. Thats what im so confused about.
