body fat %

I was thinking about buying a BF scale to track and make sure I'm gaining muscle and not fat. What's the equation for finding % to lbs of body fat?

you take your bodyfat % and multiply it by your bodyweight. subtract that number from your bodyweight.

10% = .10
.10 x 100 = 10 pounds of body fat
you dont have to subtract if you just want to know the lbs of body fat
another example
170 pound person with 12% body fat
.12 x 170 = 20.4lbs of body fat
