Body Fat % - AAAARRRGGHHH

I used one of those stand up straight-hold the handles machines at the gym tonight.

It told me my bmi is spot on (woohoo) but my body fat is 18%.

I've been working out 4 times a week + football since last september, i was never fat but never toned. Now i'm more toned, some muscle is showing through, and a hell of a lot fitter.

in that time should i be getter better results? i expected it to be less, to be honest. i eat v healthy, plenty of protein, tuna, nuts, wholemeal bread, peanut butter is a treat, protein shake, not much bread or potatoes; although i do it a decent sized meal at around 10 to half 10.

have i plateaud? i did start a circuit training system but ive had to switch gyms and i dont think that is possible there.

thanks everyone

forgot to mention

i have quite a fatty ass (now there's an admission you dont make to people face to face). Its the one thing i have to change as im thin on top and then it just there. i have a 31.5 inch waist but need to 33 jeans to get over the bugger.

Well, it looks like you may have found the answer yourself.

If not, those machines aren't always correct. Muscle weighs a good amount and a machine can be wrong in distinguishing between fat and muscle.
