Blood blister

I've got a blood blister on my toe next to my big toe on my right foot. It's on the big toe side of the toe near the tip, just below the toenail. It's puffy and purple. It looks rather nasty. But it does not hurt very much at all. It really doesn't slow me down when I run, and I've had both long runs and hard runs since it formed. BUT I do not want to do anything to jeopardize my toe's future health. What should I do? Soldier on and continue my normal running routine? Take it easy? Find some substitute exercise to do until it heals? FWIW, the skin is still intact, i.e., the blister has not popped. Thanks.

If I ever have anything like that I just rip the sucker off and then pour detol on it. I had a toenail rip halfway so I got a pair of pliers ripped that sucker out poured some detol on in and it was sweet.

Im not saying my home surgery antics are correct but I would pop it and keep it clean

If you don't do anything and it doesn't break, it will heal by itself. If it does break prematurely, you do run a slight risk of infection. I would let it go and it will dry up on its own. You certainly are not jeopardizing your big toe's future health.
