Blessing's Diary: finally made the right decision

Well i made the right decision to get healthy lose some weight, and feel better about my self. I have already made one goal and that was drinking 60 ounces of water a day and so far i have done it for 3 days in a row and i have avoided 2 temptaions in the same day. one was eating the dougnuts that were brought in to work and the burger king i pick up for my family. It was hard but i did it. and i feel pretty proud of that.:D

I went to the tickerfactory and made one of the weight monitors but how do i get to come up on my posting.

well here is the start of the diary. i have been posting for awhile, did my first weigh in this morning and to my surprise i lost 3 pounds. i really thought i messed up by going out to eat at my favorite resurtant. i had my fish sandwhich basket and drink. well i am not going to have that for while because that was more calories and things i needed. my advice to any one who reads this if the fast food resturant have a nutrition paper on their food i would get one to see if the things you are really eating is high in the things you don't need. but i very proud of my self anyway. my first accomplishment.:) :D :) :D
 
Sounds like your off to a good start. Today since everyone is worried about nutrition I have found most restaurants have on their site whats in the food such as calories and such.Just look for a nutrition tab, Some of them like taco bell and pizza hut will do a running tab so you can put in everything your planning on eating and see what the damage will be beforehand. Your off to a good start.....good luck...
 
i don't know if i can get to my diary everyday. but today almost turned into a very big mistake. i was haveing a bad day at work in the afternoon everything went from bad to worse. i just about went to get a bag of somthing not very good for me and a large drink. but i didn't. because i had to stop and think of what i have accomplished and what my goal is. so instead i had a yogurt bar and a juice. i think that is the hardest when things go wrong you eat. but i didn't.
 
i did my second weigh in. i stayed the same as last week. which means i have to try harder this week. but i can't complain i did not gain anything. so i guess that's not so bad.

i tried for the first time the low sodium v-8 juice someone suggested. Oh my goodness was that a different tast. i sure can tell the difference. but it was not all that bad. so i think i will stick with it for awhile. thanks for the suggestion. i also went to a 7 grain cracker instead of my usually ones (butter flavored). they were pretty good. trying a new type of protien drink this week hopfully i will like them.
 
Nice one Blessing - 3 pounds! Its easy to give up when you get bad results one week in the early stages - but theres a lesson - stick with it!

I want to say thank you to each an everyone of you who have encouraged me to go forward when i wanted to stop. For the different ideas and sticking with my goals. I have lost another 2 pounds. This really is the first time i have stuck with something like this and saw results. so again THANK YOU.:D :D :D :) :) :)

well another week down and another chance to see if i did well for the week on my diet. well i have to say that the couple of pounds i took off last week some how found there way back this week i have no clue how that happen. O well. i just have to say that a diet is like life full of it's up's and down's, and we have to deal with the good and the bad. So a little more of looking at this week on what i need to add and subtract to get me back on the right track.:(

Hey i am very excited about this halloween challenge. I lost the few pounds i put on last week so i am down to 130 and 5 pounds to go to reach my 1st weight goal. one thing to me about a challange is that i make you try harder because you don't want to let you team members down. so besides myself i will be praying for my teammates and each of the other teams so we all can to our best to succeed for these 7 week. and that we all will meet the first challange by drinking the amount of water that is needed. God bless us all.
 
onto the next challange

well we started our next challange and that's eating fruits and vegtables, but the trick is to have them in different colors, 5 servings a day. but with that we still have to do our last challange and that is to drink our reccomended amount of water each day. i think we all can do that. i lost one more pound this week. these last few pounds are going to be the hardest so i am going to have to be carefull. i would like to lose more but only time will tell.
 
week 3's challenge

well i have made it to week 3 and the challenges are really fun, but yet a challenge because if i do not do the challenge i not only let down myself but i let down the whole team and i do not want that. so we plug on once more. well i have 3 more pounds to lose before my goal is met. i just today steped up my exercises. so anything after that bonus. hope everyone in this forum is haveing a great week.
 
Hi! I'm on your team and wanted to drop in and say Hi! I read through your diary and it looks like you are doing really well! Keep it up! I do a lot of exercise so this new challenge is great for me! Good luck!
