Bleep Test iPad App

Hi guys,

I don't mean to shamelessly self-promote my app, but I could do with some user feedback. Don't worry, i'll post some promo codes so you can download it for nothing!

I created a 15m and 20m bleep test iPad app to help people test their fitness level. Does anyone have any comments on the design or functionality? Any additional features people would like to see? Your opinions are appreciated.

If you plan to download the app, either click the link above or search 'Bleep Test HD' on the iPad app store.

As promised, 10 promo codes to download the app for nothing:

Definately intersted in this. I like the idea of being able to monitor fitness in general.
How would this be used? Sorry to be blatantly ignorant but I would get shot if I tried running with my wife's ipad and it would be more than a touch cumbersome to hold anyway.

As the bleep test only requires you to run 15/20m before you turn around, you do not need to physically carry the iPad with you.

I usually just put it in the middle of the 15m/20m track I measured out. Speakers on the iPad can easily be heard 10 meters away!

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but are you aware of how the bleep test works? If not check out this video Skip to about the 4 minute mark.

Done a few bleep tests. Last one was to qualify for fire brigade which was level 10, not even enough to get the breathing going hard.
Standard rule I have been told is 3 times missing the line and you are out.
Wife is in the process of figuring out how to download this using the promo code, never done that before. Update, she's done it, not just a pretty face.
Will you want the feedback here, via itunes or both? will likely test this in a couple of days unless wife has it fully sussed by the time I get home.

That's brilliant, thanks for downloading it :)

I have a similar story to you. Joining the Specials and had to complete the bleep test as part of the fitness assessment. Only to 5.4 though! I think ours was miss the line twice and you're out.

Here would be great. Unfortunately by using the promo code you can't rate/review the application on the app store. I guess its Apple's way of saying 'Don't get your friends to download it for free and give it 5 stars'.

Thanks once again.

Tested it last night, or at least my wife did while my son and I did the bleep test.
She's not identified how to save the results for future comparison and I was too lazy to check it out, will do so tonight. Also will see if can identify how to have multiple people doing the test at the same time and save there results as did two sessions.
What my wife did use was simple clear and easy to follow so good so far.
Was my sons session so I stopped at 7 but look forward to using it properly at some point soon.

Thanks for giving it a go.

Hopefully the following answers some of your questions, but if you're having a few issues, I guess making it a little clearer in the app wouldn't be a bad idea. I'll release an update sometime shortly.

- Multiple people can run at the same time. After you've added user profiles you can select the ones you wish to run by clicking the View attachment 5941 button on the bleep test page.

- When a user has stopped running clicking their name saves their result automatically for future comparison. For example, the attachment below shows a list of runners. Once a runner has dropped out of the test, the person in charge touches their name and their result is saved. These results can then be viewed on any of the graphs on either the results or profile page.
