Bleeding?

I'm not really sure if this is the place to post this, and I'm sorry for my first post being a question, but this kind of worries me a little.

Anyway, I've been working out for about two months now (getting ready for the academy!). Every now and then, the area around my anus gets itchy, like I didn't wipe enough or something. I go to wipe, and there is orange-red stuff there. It goes away after a few wipes, but I'm not sure if it is blood or not. I haven't had any blood in my stool, and when I have a BM before or after this occurrence, it is normal. I'm not sure what this is, but I have no associated symptoms (dizziness, light-headedness, nausea/vomiting, etc), and it has only happened three times.

Has this happened to anyone here?

By the way, I have been eating a lot of tomato soup and tomatoes recently, which my doctor says can sometimes turn your stool orange.

So back off the tomato soup, and check again. If it continues, it sounds like hemorrhoids. I am in no way diagnosing, just a personal opinion.

My ass has been well sore lately, and iv drawn blood but thats just from a big sh1t.

But apart from that on a serious note, do what mreik says, and see a doctor about it..

Im guessing its bright red isn't it. If you ever se dark colored blood in your stool then you should immedietly see your doctor. My guess is in your case is that a blood vessel in your rectum probably ruptured. Which from my memory is not to uncommon and is nothing of major concern.

At any point or time when something odd comes out or goes into your butt, go see a doctor right away. I mean that is where toxic stuff comes out and any malfunction that goes on down there can be life threatening. It sounds like inward hemorrhoids to me, though. If you went to see a doctor and only "talked" about it, then you need a new doctor. I mean normally what happens at the doctor is he puts on a pair of rubber gloves, and tell you to bend over. That is what you want the doctor to do.

I'm with Matt 182. If it's blood it should be bright red or in the stool itself and very dark (in the latter case get to a doc right away) I don't know what orange could be-probably something you ate

define the texture of the redish-orange stuff. this could be a few different things, was it wet when you wiped it up or dry? flaky? or more like oily? try to remember also when you droped the kids off at the pool last?
