Blackie's Journal - from 180lbs to 130lbs, 21F 5ft7

Guess it's time to start a diary now that I've introduced myself. So, I have a total of 50lbs to lose, but as I said in my first message, I've already managed to lose 15lbs. :) About 35lbs to go! I'm not too fixated about my weight, I just hope I'll like what I see in the mirror after I'm done, so if that's already the case at 140lbs, so be it.

I first took my measurements on the last week of May, when my weight was 172lbs. They were as follows:

hips 43"
waist 31"
bust 39"
tummy, 3 inches below the bellybutton (widest part of my belly) 39½"
thighs 25½" / 24½"
arms 12½" / 12½"
calves 15½" / 15½"

The situation now, after 7 weeks is this:

hips 41½"
waist 28½"
bust 37½"
tummy 37"
thighs 24½"" / 24"
arms 12½" / 11½"
calves 15½" / 15"

I'm happy with the results so far. :) I'm hoping to lose some inches off my hips, thigs and arms - those are the problem areas. My body shape is pear, so it's tough trying to get those thighs slimmer! Again, I have no "dream measurements", but I'd be glad to see my hip size at 39" or so.

I'm not comfortable posting pictures yet, but maybe I can think about that after I'm done losing weight and I'm perfectly happy with my new figure. :D I do take pictures howerer, at least twice a month, so I can see the change. Itake my measurements once a week, so I'll be posting some updated info on this diary every now and then. :)

I made some progress again! I FINALLY got myself to go out for a quick walk yesterday! I even made myself run the last like 100ft which already got to me lol!! You have to start from somewhere right, haha. Plus, I've lost a pounds since yesterday so obviously I'd like to think it's due to the jogging! I guess it isn't, but that'll keep me motivated to continue exercising!

Thanks!! :) The funny thing is, that I was just casually watching TV and thought, why haven't I still gone out and walked a bit. So I decided to go then and there at 11:30pm! :D It was really nice actually, listening to music from my iPod and just walking around with no one in sight. :) And the weather was lovely too! Maybe I'll go today at the same time!
 
I just realized, that I have just 3 more pounds until my BMI's back to normal weight! Yay!
That in mind I had a light dinner, as I ate some barbequed fish and mushrooms filled with cheese. :) Not too many carbs, so I'll be getting that 3lbs off soon! ;)

I thought I'd go jogging tonight, but my plans have changed! Instead I'll study all night long for my job interview tomorrow! Wish me luck, I'll eat like a horse if I don't get the job. :(
 
Yay, another milestone achieved! I've lost 20pounds now and my BMI's under 25! So....... I'm back to being normal weight! The weight loss ticker in my signature says my BMI's over 25, but that's because in cm my height is actually 171 and 5'7" isn't accurate enough. The real BMI (24,9) is shown here in the weight loss table. :)

As for the job, I'll know by next week if I got it or not. Hrrr, I'm so nervous!!

Oh, I han't noticed your message! But thank you Emerald!! :)

I've taken some pics of myself along my weightloss journey, but I can't really see any changes yet, apart from my waist. I've lost almost 4 inches there so it's pretty easy to see. :D But I can see a change in my clothes. My favorite jeans are really loose around my stomach area! I think I'll have to buy a new pair soon, cos they don't look good even if I tighten my belt! I also have this pair of capris that I wore last summer. They're a size 38 (US 8, UK 10). They didn't fit me at all in March, but now I can zip them up! I can't really sit in them for long, but I think it's progress to actually be able to put them on. :D Yay!

AND I had lost another pound since yesterday, whoop-whoop! I'm glad I started doing some really easy exercises yesterday, so I won't lose any muscle (....though I really don't have any muscle to lose but you know :'D).

congrats on doing more exercises, i attempted exercises today but i have to start doing alot more haha

And listen to this guys: I_JUST_GOT_A_JOB! I'm too excited to do anything! Yayy! :) Now I can continue on to lose weight even harder, as I don't have to worry if I got the job or not! Which reminds me.. it's time to weigh myself today. >

Ah hun we are like twins, same age and height and we both gained weight this week haha:) Ah but seriously hun, half a pound is NOTHING to worry about, also im loving your positive attitude! Keep up the great work girl!!

You can say that again! I can't understand how we can be so similar lol! Thanks for the encouragement. :)

I was oh so active again today. I went downtown to take care of some job related stuff. I had the opportunity to use an elevator, but I decided to go via stairs instead! Everything was fine until I had to go up the stairs. Lol it was a pain! But I did it and get this, I basically ran them up! I really have to try to get my fitness level up, since I will be on my feet a lot at McDos. :eek: *tries to motivate herself to get up and go jogging!*
