Billy Halleck gets Thinner

I think picking up at dozen eggs this evening after work sounds like a good idea. Or at least a half dozen to get me through the week. The food rationing I've been doing definitely is not fun. I have been laying off drinking glasses of milk since it has been messing with my stomach for the last few years. But I can probably manage some soy milk for a couple bucks.

I'll pull back on the exercise until I have some better fuel to accommodate it.
I have a feeling that next week will be a much stronger week for working on myself once I've restocked my kitchen.

And thanks again! So far this forum has been a great support in keeping me on the straight. The feedback really helps me to account for my daily habits.

Wednesday:started morning off with a hard boiled egg, a little more carbs for dinner but it was good and I haven't eaten much this week so it was nice to have good plate of spaghetti.
..went lighter on exercise both days per forum discussion. smart move.

Geez. Where do you live that a half dozen of eggs puts you out 2 bucks? I can get 18 eggs for that price! Like someone else mentioned, beans are cheap and a very good source of protein and fiber, both of which will give you energy and keep you feeling full.

I'm sure your appetite isnt an issue now because whenever we first start dieting we're in what's called a "honeymoon" phase. This euphoria can last up to 6 weeks, and then the head hunger or actual real hunger will set in if you're not making sure you're getting in the essentials. It might not be a bad idea to consider taking a daily complete multivitamin, too.

I hope I'm not coming off as a bitch. I'm just giving out some advice that has worked for me.

Oh and since you like pasta, maybe when you pad your wallet a bit more, check into tofu pasta. It's delicious and it's only 40 calories for the entire bag. I made spaghetti with mine and it cured any pasta cravings I was having.

I would've only read that as bitchy if you didn't give me any tips or constructive feedback.

Awesome tip on the tofu pasta!..I am gonna give that one a try. How does it hold up for leftovers?..one of the benefits to cooking pasta is having some leftovers for the next days dinner/lunch.

I am hoping to have a full kitchen of groceries by the end of day this Sunday to better prepare for the 3rd week of hunger to sink in. I've never been that good with taking multivitamins. They tend to make me nauseous but I've read that some One-A-Days have a coating to prevent that.

Saturday: Omelet for breakfast was a bit larger than i expected so i only ate about 2/3's of it. got some must needed shoes for walking on work breaks. Had a few more drinks for a going away party but resisted the crappy barfood options on the menu..as delicious as cheese fries sounded, went for the hummus plate instead.

Hello Billy, unfortunately i cannot tell you how the pasta holds up for leftovers because i eat the whole damn package! the package serves "2", but at 20 calories a serving, i indulge big time. they also have different cuts of noodles, like fettuccine which pairs when making a low-fat strogranoff sauce. If you have Whole Foods in your area, you should be able to pick them up there, or at a smaller grocery store if they allow special ordering.

If you can get an enteric coated vitamin, that'd be the way to go. I've never had any problems with them, but I have a stomach of steel.

Watched a movie before bed to wind down.

Was fun but I drank more than i would have liked to and ate less that i would have liked to. definitely not an ideal evening. *completely ashamed of this and need to not have any more days like this in my journal*

Lots of alcohol, little food, not enough water. I really don't want any more of these showing up in my journal. pretty much ashamed.
Sunday: Almost a complete hangover wasted day if not for the good weather and taking the initiative to get out of the house at all. Saw a good movie and did some walking while shopping.

Hey Billy...nothing to be ashamed about. We all make mistakes...the key is to learn from them. You can choose not to do those things that are harmful to you anymore.

Today is a new day, full of new "opportunities" to do the right thing. Just don't let your past mistakes influence your future decisions. Can't change the past....but you sure can impact the future!

Keep on!

I'm finding it hard to actually get on here daily and keep an hourly log of what I am eating. I figured I would try and just to keep kind of an "Overall" log of the week in meals and activity...I don't want to lose track of keeping up on the journal and feel that the day-to-day/hourly log would be a hard one for me to keep up for much longer. So every 4-5 days I'll update.

This lifestyle change has been going surprisingly well and have only had a small amount of dietary missteps. 12 Pounds lost since July 1st is really motivating for me to keep up this routine.

Here is the Overall for this week:

Tuesday: Coffee, Banana, Soy Yogurt, Tofurky Sandwhich, Kind Plus Cranberry/Almond bar, Cucumber, Tomato, 2 Egg Omelet (Mushroom/Onion/creamcheese) , 2 hours painting

Thursday: Coffee, Banana, 1/2 Soy Yogurt, Tofurky Sandwhich, Kind Plus Cranberry/Almond bar (2), Tomato, 2 Egg Omelet (Mushroom/Onion/creamcheese), 2 Hours Painting, 30 Min Tae Bo

Here is the Overall for this weekend:

Considering the weekend was filled with birthday parties and bbq's I was able to keep my will in check. Stayed out later that I would've liked Saturday night (2am) but I was the DD so duty called.

Here is the Overall for this week:

Monday: Coffee, short glass of chocolate silk, soy yogurt, tofurky sandwhich, Lentils/Rice/Veggie asian faux duck mixed together, steamed broccoli, 100% fruit popsicle. •Tae Bo (30 mins), 1 hr painting

Pretty normal work week. Didn't get in as much exercise as i would have liked but kept busy with projects and activities and didn't eat a lot of heinous crap. Music last night was loud and brooding and great but didn't get home til 2 in the morning on a work night. Not ideal but was fun. Did well keeping social drinking in check as well.

wow. been a while since i updated this. Perfect example of falling off track of my routines.
Ok so the last update was just over a week ago. Since i can't remember exactly what food i ate on what days let me see if i can recap the bad stuff i probably ate since my last update:

- Had a meatless Jumbo Jack one late night coming home from the city (cheese, mayo, tomato, lettuce white bun..blech..better than a greasy burger but probably not the best food option

-Beers ( Took a trip to San Fran for a post-wedding reception and there was an open bar and much celebration. no regrets since i never really do this much anymore)

- Half basket of Blue Cheese Tater Tots at some quirky bar in San Fran.

-BBQ Tofu sandwich at reception..delicious

-Random road food (Tried to keep it healthier and non-indulgent. Dried apples, Trail mix, coffee, 2 Taco bell bean tacos

-1 Devils food cupcake at the party

The good stuff: The week prior to this trip was a lot of the same stuff i have been listing in my daily work menus (Tofurky sandwiches, assorted fruits, coffee, yogurt, Lentils/garden burger mixed with steamed broccoli.

Overall I have been good about keeping my calories at a moderate level but have NOT been putting in as much exercise as i should be. This would explain why i have been lingering right at 286 with no budging. Since i started at 300 and lost roughly 15 pounds immediately, I am assuming this is my "resting roadblock weight" that i need to get much more disciplined on. I need to make it a point this week to break away from this and get into more daily cardio and eating much more raw vegetables.

ugh..the battle.
