BikiniBound's Diary

lol I think I have tried to convince myself I just have a massive beer belly and that there really is no baby... but then he moves and that cinches it;) lol also I haven't had beer so eh... lol
Yup they will induce by next Wednesday. Tuesday is the appt with the doc where we set that up. I hope he comes before though! His little bed is all set up and empty!
Wow diapers have sure changes since my little one was in cloth. He wore plastic covers which were murder in the summer as they didn't breathe very well but they were awesome for swimming! They just kept messes inside so much better than any swim diaper! We are doing cloth as well but we aren't doing the fancy all in one. I think they are called chinese folds? and then they come with a cover. I have not used these before and I am interested to see how it goes.
Anywho lol obviously I have lots to talk about baby so if you want to chat about your beautiful little baby and all things baby I am right here:D lol

I did try and post in here a couple of days ago - but it seems that the forum has lost it.

I simply said how lovely May looks in the latest photos. She is so cute in the Easter dress that you got. I also said that I am quite jealous of Dawn - getting to see May in person soon.

Awe, love the pics of your little one. It seems that kitty loves her too. :)

Hey Kimberly!!!
Guess what?
Laura wrote me back and she wants to meet me. So when I come to see you and beautiful May I will also get to see my beautiful daughter too!
I am waiting for her to tell me when she wants me to visit. I will let you know when she does.
Hope things are going well for you and the littlest Princess!

Mishi-congrats on your little boy! And your fast labor and delivery--I'm sooo jealous! :D

Dawn--That's great news about Laura. I'll bet you are just itching to get up here now! Can't wait to see you and here how it all went with your daughter.

Hi Steve!

I had a closing this afternoon so David had to watch May all by himself. He has never been alone with her for more than an hour at a time, so I was curious to see how he'd do. I was gone fore a little over 3hrs. Lately she has been taking naps in the afternoon, so I thought she might sleep most of the time I was gone. Wrong!! He had to change 4 diapers and she ate 6oz of pumped breastmilk during that time. I fed her again when I got home, and she has been sleeping most of the time since..lol. David is at the bar with his friend--recovering..lmao. He said he now understands why I find it so hard to get things done when she isn't sleeping. He could barely manage to get himself a cup of coffee..lol It's nice that he has a better appreciation for what I do all day (and night) now. ;)

Anyway, the closing went well and I'll get paid early next week. The commission will pay for the drywall finishing and painting..lol. At least I have a commission to pay for it. The basement is coming right along. I suspect it will be all done in about 2 weeks. MIL arrives from Australia on May 18th.

I really liked hearing that 4 changes and a feed (which seriously, sounds like an hours worth of time, max), actually takes 3 - because that totally fits with my memory of how things are. It's great that David got to experience that.

It's very cool that you were able to leave May for 3 hours, and that she will feed from expressed milk. That will make a big difference to your quality of life.

Congrats on the close too!

It is great that the closing went well. You worked hard for your commission - it is great when the final question mark is removed and you actually see some reward for your hard work.

It is also great that May kept David on his toes. If she had slept soundly the entire time he would have been convinced that you were exaggerating things.

Amy--I'm recovering just fine. The post partum bleeding is pretty much finished and I'm not really sore there. I feel good--just need to start exercising again b/c the weightloss has ground to a screeching halt. Of course, staying away from ice cream, peanut butter and potato chips would also help a lot. :blush5:

Felici--Yes, it's funny how long it all takes to feed etc. At least now he really appreciates what I do all day/night now. :)

Margaret--I agree it's good May kept David on his toes for those very reasons. :D And you'll be pleased to hear that I pulled that feeding trick again for May's latest weight check today. She weighed in at 9lbs 10oz, so that's up 8oz from last week, and 2oz more than they were hoping for. So the pedi is finally happy. :D

Well, more drama with my mother. I had mentioned before how she had been saying doing weird things prompting my dad to take her to the ER. She spent a week in the hospital before they sent her home on Saturday. Well, yesterday afternoon she called me with some sort of hair-brained idea while my dad was at lunch with my grandma. Then this morning my dad called me to tell me that he got a call from the county sherrif's while at work this morning informing him that my mom had repeatedly called the police in the city where my dad's brother lives. So they sent out police to their house, and then paramedics to investigate. They took my mom's vitals and all was good, but she was very angry and upset that they were there. She said she was trying to call my uncle to tell him that she and my grandma had almost died and he needed to pay more attention to his family. Of course we all think he needs to pay more attention to his mother, but my mom would never ever try to make a call like that if she was in her right mind. Then she nearly gave herself an insulin OD. If my dad hadn't been right there watching her she would've. She then argued with my dad that she hadn't just given herself two injections. :willy_nilly: So, needless to say, my dad is at his wits end and thinks all the stress from her is giving him an ulcer. So, he is taking her back to the ER now. I don't know what's wrong with her, but I'm beginning to think maybe dementia or alzheimers. I told dad he may just have to put her in a home b/c she clearly cannot be left alone, and he has to work and cannot handle her all by himself.

So if you're the praying type, please say a prayer for my dad. I'm more worried about him than my mom to be honest. He's just wearing himself out worrying about her and taking care of her.

Oh Kimberly
I am so sorry to hear that your mother is doing so poorly. And your dear dad. It must just be eating him up that he can't take good care of your mom 100%of the time.
How old is your mother, if you don't mind my asking?
When my mother started to get really confused and acting strange it turned out she was not getting nearly enough O2. She was somewhere in the low 80% range by the time I got her to the hospital. Once they got her on the oxygen her mind cleared right up.
I will definately pray for you and your family.
I hope that the doctor's can figure out what it going on with your mom.
Also I hope your dad will be able to get a break in there somewhere. And not feel guilt over a situation he can't possibly control.
hugs :grouphug:
