Tyly, Stacy, Cerella--Thanks for all your support and congratulations.
Margaret--Thanks! We did go back to the kebob place for breakfast yesterday. I had an awesome greek omelet with feta that was outta this world--and plastic free.
Claudia--Good luck resisting the cake!! Just have a small piece so you don't feel totally deprived, and call it good. Thank you for being such a great friend.
Brandy--Korean food is really good. We had it again for dinner last night..lol. This time I had
chap chae, which is thinly sliced beef, carrot, zucchini, green onions, glass sweet potato noodles and garlic sauteed in sesame oil and some other things. It's delicious. It's one of the few non-spicy Korean dishes. I haven't been back to the fitness room..lol. Yesterday we did tons of walking around, so I figure that was good enough.
Lemon--Those bean sprouts are good--there were some in my soup the other night. The side dishes at the first restaurant were fantastic. There was the ubiquetous kimchee, of course, then shredded chinese radish in a viniagary type marinade, potato and carrot in a sesame/soy sauce based sauce, shredded seaweed, and another spicy kimchee type dish with some kind of root.
Bella and Kim--those things were all pretty minor. I've had a good weekend so far.
So yesterday we spent all afternoon and most of the evening in downtown Ann Arbor. We walked around the campus a bit, and tried to get into the U of M athletic museum, but apparently it's closed more than open. So that was a wasted walk..lol. We stopped into two bookstores, and I confess I had a small cup of ice cream at the Ben & Jerry's shop.
Then we ended up at a pub called Ashely's that has over 60 beers from around the world on tap. They have about 60more in bottles. You cannot get the cheap crap there such as Budweiser or Miller. In fact, the t-shirts that the staff wear all say, "Friends don't let friends drink cheap beer."

All day Sunday is happy hour, with a $ off all drinks. So we are going to go back this afternoon to try some more beer. There is one I really want to try. It's called Stone Arrogant Bastard Ale, and the description reads as follows,
"This is an aggressive beer. It is doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. A strong ale that is too complex, malty and delicious for your tastebuds."
Ann Arbor is a really cool town. It is the Berkeley of Michigan. So, being that Grand Rapids is very conservative, it is nice to be surrounded by people of my own liberal ilk for a few days..lol Normally I'm surrounded by conservative Republicans.

hahaaha I brought my camera with me, so I'll try to take a few pics today.
The scale said 224lbs today!!

I'm sure that is water retention and lack of bathroom action. There is no way it's fat--well, maybe a bit of fat...lol. But 6.5lbs in 2 days?? Damn Scalentino.
