BikiniBound's Diary

WOW loud kids, crapy workout room and plastic in your food? Well at least your tapping that ass, and well that makes up for all the bad stuff.LMAO!! Hope your Sunday makes up for the rest of the little stuff!!
Hugs and love
Me

Tyly, Stacy, Cerella--Thanks for all your support and congratulations. :hug2:

Margaret--Thanks! We did go back to the kebob place for breakfast yesterday. I had an awesome greek omelet with feta that was outta this world--and plastic free. :D

Claudia--Good luck resisting the cake!! Just have a small piece so you don't feel totally deprived, and call it good. Thank you for being such a great friend. :hug2:

Brandy--Korean food is really good. We had it again for dinner last night..lol. This time I had chap chae, which is thinly sliced beef, carrot, zucchini, green onions, glass sweet potato noodles and garlic sauteed in sesame oil and some other things. It's delicious. It's one of the few non-spicy Korean dishes. I haven't been back to the fitness room..lol. Yesterday we did tons of walking around, so I figure that was good enough.

Lemon--Those bean sprouts are good--there were some in my soup the other night. The side dishes at the first restaurant were fantastic. There was the ubiquetous kimchee, of course, then shredded chinese radish in a viniagary type marinade, potato and carrot in a sesame/soy sauce based sauce, shredded seaweed, and another spicy kimchee type dish with some kind of root.

Bella and Kim--those things were all pretty minor. I've had a good weekend so far. :)

So yesterday we spent all afternoon and most of the evening in downtown Ann Arbor. We walked around the campus a bit, and tried to get into the U of M athletic museum, but apparently it's closed more than open. So that was a wasted walk..lol. We stopped into two bookstores, and I confess I had a small cup of ice cream at the Ben & Jerry's shop.

Then we ended up at a pub called Ashely's that has over 60 beers from around the world on tap. They have about 60more in bottles. You cannot get the cheap crap there such as Budweiser or Miller. In fact, the t-shirts that the staff wear all say, "Friends don't let friends drink cheap beer." All day Sunday is happy hour, with a $ off all drinks. So we are going to go back this afternoon to try some more beer. There is one I really want to try. It's called Stone Arrogant Bastard Ale, and the description reads as follows, "This is an aggressive beer. It is doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. A strong ale that is too complex, malty and delicious for your tastebuds."

Ann Arbor is a really cool town. It is the Berkeley of Michigan. So, being that Grand Rapids is very conservative, it is nice to be surrounded by people of my own liberal ilk for a few days..lol Normally I'm surrounded by conservative Republicans. hahaaha I brought my camera with me, so I'll try to take a few pics today.

The scale said 224lbs today!! I'm sure that is water retention and lack of bathroom action. There is no way it's fat--well, maybe a bit of fat...lol. But 6.5lbs in 2 days?? Damn Scalentino. :cuss:

Don’t worry about the scales too much. Your normal diet will pretty much see it right when you get back home. Romantic weekends are not for worrying about such mundane matters.

It sounds like you are enjoying lots and lots of nice food. You really are a girl after my own heart with a similar appreciation of the finer things of life.

Given the food it is hard to say that the walk was wasted.

I hope that you continue to have lots of fun.

Hi BB

Good job on the 60lb weight loss. :cheers2: Don't worry about it going up today, once you get back to the back breaking planks it will shoot down immediately!:biggrinjester: The pub you went to sounds like my kinda place! I love beer. Currently, my favorite is a Belgium Beer Stella Artois and on May 4 weekend I'm going on a girls Camping weekend and I am going to drink like a fish. So that weekend will probably make me go up 5lbs! There is a sandwich in every beer! ha ha
Have a great day!:seeya:

You can work off the excess water weight in bed ;) :)

And there is no such thing as a "wasted walk" .

Who can resist Ben and Jerry's???

Glad you're having a nice getaway weekend. How fun! You and H seem to be getting along great these days. Funny enough, so are my H and me. He's totally changed from before, he does his share of the cleaning and taking care of the baby, which was our main problem. What's changed between you two since several months ago, or did you just realize you already had what you were looking for?

Sounds like a great day! I'm not a beer drinker myself, but love the "pub" atmosphere.

I'm a scale hater myself, and often too much of a slave to it. Don't let the number the scale reflected get ya down- just continue to make healthy choices and it too will catch up.

Sick of sex? Isn't that a sign of the apocolypse?

Great job on 60 lbs! Consistent, steady and going to stay off!

Yes, that walk was not wasted..lol. I needed it after all the food I ate.

I had more goodies today: beef pita w/cous cous, grilled veggies, etc for lunch. Then 3 pints of beer (one was the arroagant bastard), french fries, chips and salsa, thin crust pizza with feta, spinach, tomatoes and red onion; a few bites of H's burger, and then a cappucino colada (vanilla ice cream, malibu coconut rum, godiva liquer and a shot of espresso)--delicious!

Hmm..I did some planks on Friday and it didn't seem to help my weight on Saturday..lol

Stella Artois is the most popular beer in Belgium--and the Belgians know how to brew some beer! I lived in Brussels for a semester during college, and developed a great love for their lambic beers--the fruity ones. If you can get your hands on a framboise (raspberry), kriek (cherry) or pecheresse (peach)--give in to the temptation! This bar had about 20 kinds of Belgian beers--including the Trappist beers which only Trappist monks are allowed to put their name on. I did not have any because they were all at least $9 for a bottle. My framboise was $4, but that was only for 5.5 ounces!! For that price I could get a whole pint of something else--especially b/c all day Sunday is happy hour and pints are $1 off..lmao. I also had some Strongbow cider and a pint of Young's Double Chocolate Stout--very tasty--brewed in London, UK. It's a good thing that bar is 2hrs from my house, or H and I would blow all our money there. :smilielol5:

Nope, the walk wasn't wasted. I just wished we'd walked somewhere more scenic instead. :)

I resisted the B&J today--although I did have ice cream somewhere else..lol

I'm so glad to hear that your H is being better and that you're getting along. :) Great news!

What changed for us? I think H realized how much he loves me, and that it's time he gave me the things I need--i.e a house and baby..lol. I think he realized that he would lose me otherwise.

I rarely let the number on the scale get me down. When I eat/drink like I have this weekend, I expect it to go up--just wasn't expecting it to go up so high so fast. :smilielol5:

Look at this, I'm away for a weekend and you hit a milestone!!

CONGRATS KIMMY!!

This is UBERLY exciting. Not to mention you had every right to go bezerk on your food choices after achieving such a goal. You definitely deserved to treat youself to such goodies. In fact, I started salivating when I was reading that menu. You've such good taste in food, darling. I might have to come visit you and hang out at your hangs. LOL...

Happy beginning of the week, chica. I hope you and the Hubby have a good one!

I don't think I'm as horny as you all might think. It comes in spurts. :smilielol5: I didn't realize how bad that sounded until after I'd typed it. :D

I've got one more day before we go home. Tomorrow we'll have Korean for lunch again, then we're going to my friend's house in Dearborn where she's making us dinner--most likely something Middle Eastern. Don't know if I'll get much exercise in tomorrow, but I've got a great start in anyway so I can easily fit the rest in Tuesday through Thursday. The kiddies have gone home, so I might get into the pool tomorrow before we leave. H got us a late checkout--noon instead of 11am.

We walked around downtown Ann Arbor again today, and saw more of the university campus--which is huge. We wanted to go to the art museum, but it's under renovation, so we walked a fair jaunt to the temporary quarters, only to find they only had one small collection on display. So we ended up in one of the libraries where we spent at least an hour reading..lol Then we hit the pub. :D

I feel guilty for not having stopped by many of your diaries this weekend. I will be sure to get to them on Tuesday if not before. :)

Thanks for stopping by, dear. :) I love most food, and love to try international dishes. I forgot to mention that my beef pita also had chick peas and hummus in it. :D

I am so pleased that both men have become aware of what is needed to truly satisfy their wives and are acting accordingly. :hurray:

The food sounds great – apart from the coffee which would have been better without the coffee (keep the ice cream and Malibu etc).

Doesn’t it always?

Perish the thought, I never believed I'd hear she was sick of S-E-X. All that baby making can get stressful he he. Are you back from AA?
