BikiniBound's Diary

YOU CAN DO IT! Said in "Tony Little" voice, appropriately so at this late hour when infomercials abound..he he.

Wah, H woke me when he came to bed at 2am so now I'm up.

Hi Kimberly

Whenever I set little weight loss targets for myself - I tend to just miss them. I remember that I wanted to be under 14 stone for my school reunion and was slightly over it. There have been others too. My point being that I certainly wish you luck in getting to your birthday goal and a pound and a half should be achievable in a week - but please dont get disappointed if you dont quite make it - sometimes our bodies just dont play according to our preferred schedule.

I dont doubt that you get some great weather. I really had no idea that you got so much snow for as long. This is an absolute example of my ignorance. In a bad winter we may see snow for two weeks and we havent seen any this year yet. I really thought that you would have similar weather to us and an absolute maximum of two weeks in total. Many is the year when we might see three days of snow in total.

Well done for volunteering to do the charity walk. Wear a pedometer when you do it. I would love to know what your stepcount would be for that day. All you need is a challenge to go across those dates with an unlimited walking bonus that week. :) We would be ok!!!!:):):) It might encourage others in USA to join the charity event. If it is a national event with lots of venues all around your country - is it worth you mentioning it on the challenges page?

Take care
Love
Margaret

You can definitely lose 1.5 this week. It's completely doable. Do you have big plans for your b-day? Other than cheesecake? :D

Our wedding anniversary is on the 4th as well so we will also be celebrating.

Exercise this week:
2/25—30 min exercise bike, 10.3 miles, weight: 221.5
2/26—30 min circuit training, weight: 222

Tues calories: 1,967

Well, my office had a Relay for Life (American Cancer Society fundraiser)meeting today, and I told them I'd be a 24-hr walker. This basically means I have to walk for 18hrs in a 24hr period. The relay is May 15-16. I want to be in onederland by then, so that means I have to lose 20lbs in 2.5 months.

Also, my birthday is in one week, and I'd like to have lost 60lbs by then. It would be a great birthday present. So I'd have to lose 1.5lbs in the next week. Not impossible, but my track record as of late does not make it likely. :ack2: Nevertheless, I'm going to try. :hurray:

60 lbs, in one week? Now THAT'S wishful thinking if I've ever heard it...lol. 1.5 is ALOT more realistic and I'm totally rooting for you. Forget your current track record, Kimmy. You *know* you can change it.

Congrats on signing up for the walk-a-thon. It sounds like a blast. That twenty pounds is plausible, honey. You're just going to have to stray away from the fish frys and double cheese burgers. Oh...and the chocolate cake....:smilielol5:

Prepare for massive shaking of the sugar balls:biggrinjester:
(I can imagine how that sounds to people first time reading your diary :patriot:)

Looking good so far this week sista! You can totally lose that weight by your birthday! My birthday is on Monday, yikes!

Keep up the good work, I can't believe you lost nearly 60 lbs and kept it off! You deserve a party!!

Tammy, Cita, Rae, Paul, Margaret, Keepitoff83, MJB, Amy--thank you all for stopping by and cheering me on! :)

I have the same problem, which is why I don't like to set weight targets--it just gets me down and I don't appreciate what I have done as much.

I will definitely wear a pedometer, b/c I want to know how many miles I walk.
There are 3 Relays in the area the same weekend as mine, so I'm sure there are many around the country the same weekend. There a quite a few in June as well. Here's a link if anyone wants to see if there's one in their area:

You don't have to be a 24hr walker, either. In previous years, I just signed up to walk a few hours for my office's team. It really is a lot of fun, and it's for a great cause. Local businesses and organizations form teams, who each have a tent at the relay. It usually takes place at a school's track field. The participants raise money before and during the relay to donate. At each tent, there is usually one or more things you can buy (food, goods and services), and the proceeds go to the ACS. Thousands of people usually show up, and it's a lot of fun. They have scheduled events, such as a movie at night, a survivor lap, a memorial service, free pizza, etc. A lot of the events are for kids.

Amy--did you know you have the same wedding anniversary as Ron and Nancy Reagan? :) I have no big plans for my b-day yet. We'll probably go out to dinner with my parents and Gran.

Paul--Yes, some newcomers might not know how pervy my diary has gotten in the past. It's been pretty tame lately, mainly due to Sheryl's absence. :D God, I miss that Hawaiian harlot. :biggrinjester: Anyway, you just shake those sugar balls all ya want.
Cita--I think your H and I have similar schedules...lol. I sneek in as quiety as I can, and H still wakes up most of the time. He is a light sleeper.

I'll check out the relay event thing. Thanks for the website.

It's a lot of fun. Even if you don't join a team, you can go there, walk some laps, maybe take part in whatever's going on at the time, etc. Most people just stop by for an hour or two.

Snookums--Thanks for dropping by. Welcome to WLF. We like to have fun around here. It makes losing weight more enjoyable. :biggrinjester:

Angelic One--Hey, girl, I know you're busy. I'm happy to "see" ya whenever you have time, or arent' feeling lazy. ;)

Well, I don't know how soon I'll be losing that 1.5lbs, as I just arrived at the office not 30 min ago and I've already scarfed down 4 peanut butter chip cookies!! :banghead::banghead: Damn building inspector who brings them in--they are home made, and absolutely delicious. I added them to fitday, and if I am careful tonight, I'll still be within my calorie limit, so I guess it's not so bad after all.

OOOOHHHH BUBBLE RUBBINGS and TOTAL WET SOAPINGS ALL OVER YOUR BODY!! OOOOHHH Feel the love! LOL LOL
Thanks for stopping by lately and checking in on me and throwing me the much needed love, I've been so, so busy and now getting back on track again. One of those so much to do so little time months. Funny you mention cookies, we just got a box of 6 delivered to our house, OH BOY, I love those Girl Scout cookies!mmm. I've been a really good girl, my hubby eats the majority of them, so luckily I live with a chocoholic not much leftover once he's done consuming. LOL How are you and your H getting along these days?? Every day I read that the housing market is going south and I think about all you people out there busting your humps to sell a house, it's got to be hard, and I'm so hoping it picks up soon. One good thing to note, the weather is gorgeous today, it's only in the upper 60's but it's so sunny and no wind outside, makes for a great day!! To bad I have to work indoors all day, isn't that always the way?? I'm hoping for a great warm weekend, how is your weather??? Have you cut back on your calories?? I see you posted 1900 isn't that a little low for you? Just thought it was more than that at one point, but with all the weight you have lost it may have come down some since I last checked. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day, I love ya lots!! HUGS AND RUBS!

Hey Twin! So good to have you back in my diary. :hurray:

Yah, the housing market sucks ass. We just got a flyer at the office to encourage our overpriced sellers to make price reductions. It shows how houses are decreasing in value by about 7% a year atm, so every month you hang onto it, you lose equity, so it's better to sell it for less now, as it isn't gonna get any better for several years. My dad got his 2008 tax assessment a few days ago--his assessed value went down $6,600 from last year, saying his house is now worth $13,200 less than it was last year. :ack2: However, his taxable value went up a little over $1K..lmao. The taxable value is what they tax you on, for those of you not familiar with the system. So basically, even though his house is worth less, his taxes went up. However, his taxable value is still about $10K less than his AV. They cannot raise the TV higher than the AV.

My cals have never been over 2,000--at least not when I am trying to drop lbs..lol. I normally keep them between 1500-1800, so yesterday's were actually kinda high.

The weather here still sucks. Today's high was in the mid-20s and cloudy all day. Tomorrow the same, Fri and Sat low 30s and snow. Sunday is a heatwave with a high of 38F!! hahaha But, we're supposed to get a "light wintry mix" along with it. Whatever that is.

Well, now that I've eaten all the PB cookies, (lmao) the rest don't pose a temptations as I don't care about them--especially the oatmeal raisin. And the blueberry muffins on the counter I can resist. So that just leaves the jar of Dove chocolates. The secretary offered to hide them for me, and I took her up on the offer. :D Out of sight, out of mind. :piggy:

LOL at the peanut butter cookies. GOOD job resisting the rest of the stuff. And "out of sight out of mind" is the best way to resist ANYTHING
