ROFLOL at that story Kimmy. Of course she's a little nuts, she could have killed herself eating like an anorexic!! That child support comment is priceless. Kudos to the ex for that making my day.

Wow, congratulations on being able to pull of a caloric intake under 1500. I could never survive with less then that, I don't think. I would pass out because of how much I run. LOL.

It's nice to know someone else isn't so fond of this weather either. I hate it. I can't stand it. The snowplows have piled all the snow on the side of our city streets, so when we drive through them, it's like we're tracking through the mountains. I'm holding out for spring. Only another month and I'll FINALLY be relieved of all this cold/slush/white wetness. I want to see GREEN again!!

I hope you're having a good Wednsday chica!!

Happy TLD

Well done on the calories - you really are determined to get those points. Now you have put an end to those splurges, I know that you can do it for the last couple of days of the challenge. You should do really well as it looks like a couple of people have dropped bonus points this week.

After a day on 1483 calories - 1633 calories will seem quite a lot.

You would have gained momentary enjoyment from eating some more cake - but I definitely agree that your hubby did you a favour by getting rid of it for you. You will get more pleasure from getting your challenge points.

You got off light paying only $140 for your car to be fixed. Ours cost over £180.

I could never eat like an anorexic - I like my food too much! I too thought that the quote from your friends' first husband was funny. Hubby laughed too when I read it out to him!

I hope that you get some decent weather soon - you are having a horrible time with that weather.

Well done for going to the gym - I know that you will get your exercise in somehow.

Take care
Love
Margaret

I'm sure that 2.5lbs was water retention, bc I went from 220 to 223 in 3 days' time. My weight often fluctuates wildly like that. It certainly wasn't 2.5lbs of fat that I dropped overnight. :)

Let them eat cake! I'm the Marie Antoinette of WLF...lmao. I hope I don't meet a similar fate, though.

That is so funny about your friend, but to be a gym rat, then settle for being an anorexic is sad! Like I have said before a hundred times, I don't care if I don't drop anymore weight, as long as I keep up my workouts and stay strong and heart healthy so be it! What's better being physically fit, or just looking physically fit, "MAKE SENSE"?? She might look physically fit, but internally she's a mess, and well if your a mess you'll never be happy, and well HAPPY is the way to live, so EVERYONE BE HAPPY!! :hurray::seeya:

Plus a man would rather be with someone with a little weight on their bones who's mentally in good shape, then someone who looks like their in good shape on the outside, but inside their a mess, RIGHT? Good for the ex not falling for that BS.

Look at your weight going down on the scale again, YEAH! :hurray: You my friend are going to hit the teens soon, you watch!! And when I said In my post I've been having weird cravings lately, and don't know why, well CAKE was one of those, and I Rarely ever think about cake, but lately hmmmm it's been on my mind. LOL LOL what's up with that?? LOL LOL **note to self, think of cake as a big piece of lard** LMAO!!

Hope you have a very wonderful day today my TWIN!
Hugs to ya
Kim

Rae & Margaret--I'm glad you were amused by that little story..lol. I'm still laughing about it. I, too could never eat like an anorexic--I just love food far too much!! I couldn't be a bulemic, either, b/c I hate to :puke:

Claudia & Margaret--yes, I did get out of the car repairs cheaply. *sigh of relief* I took H to get his car this morning, so I have mine back. :hurray:

Rae--the snow here is getting piled high, too. On a few roads it's so bad, at some corners I could barely see the over the snowbanks to tell if traffic was coming or not. I want to take a pic of some of the parking lots where the plows just keep piling the snow up over and over. At one supermarket, they have at 2 giant snow piles about 100ft in diameter and about 20 or 30ft high.

Margaret--the weather is better today--still cold out, but it's sunny and not snowing. The roads are greatly improved.

And yes, I seem to be back on track with the calories.

So today I stopped by Lowe's on my way back from dropping H off to get his car. I just wanted to price things to see if my remodelling budget (for the fixer upper we plan to buy in a few months) was realistic. I was pleased to see that it appears to be. Especially if I take advantage of some of the good sales they have going atm. For example--buy 4 Whirlpool appliances and get $400 back. Plus a couple of the ones I liked where on sale on top of it.

Weight was 220.5 again.

Yeah, she is definitely not happy--she even told me she was miserable. I kind of feel sorry for her, and yet, we make our own happiness. It sounds to me like she had/has two decent husbands, but sabotages the relationships. I think people with low self-esteem tend to do this b/c they feel they don't deserve to be happy.

Plus a man would rather be with someone with a little weight on their bones who's mentally in good shape, then someone who looks like their in good shape on the outside, but inside their a mess, RIGHT? Good for the ex not falling for that BS.

Yeah, I knew her first H, and he was a pretty decent, easy going guy who treated her pretty well. But she tends to make mountains out of molehills and won't let things go. She'll badger and badger until they blow up at her. Not healthy.

Look at your weight going down on the scale again, YEAH! :hurray: You my friend are going to hit the teens soon, you watch!!

My weight was down to 220 last week, and then went back up to 223. So I haven't hit a new low--nothing to get excited about. I was hoping to have cracked the teens by now, so I'm a bit annoyed. But I should've been better with my calories over the weekend. :cuss:

You are back on track now though!

With the firm control of your food that you displayed yesterday and I know will continue doing and exercise (which you are doing too)- you will be in the teens any day.

Its good that your pricing estimates appear to be right for the forthcoming project. :hurray:

They'd think we were a bunch of bull-dykes..hahaha

Thanks for the boobie soaping, Twin! :drool5:

So, just when we all thought the cake saga had come to an end, it re-appeared when I got into my car trunk this afternoon. H had put it there and forgotten about it. So much for him taking it to work..lmao. I texted him: "I found the cake." lol The cake is still in my trunk. I didnt devour it then and there. :p

Wow girly you are having my shitty weather bitter cold we had 2 inches of snow today and tomorrow snow after 5 pm switching over to ice then by morning rain lol grrrr.Anyway can't wait to see your ticker in the teens friday!!hugggs Tammy

Exercise this week:
2/18—45 min exercise bike, 15.35 miles, weight: 223
2/19—65 min circuit training, weight: 220.5
2/20—50 min circuit training, 30 min bike, 10.2 miles, weight: 220.5

Weds calories: 1,758
Calories left through Thurs: 508-1,508

Tammy--219.5 tomorrow would be fantastic. But I caved to the munchies and had some cheese popcorn that put my calories a bit higher than I wanted. Grr...Now I have to eat under 1500 tomorrow. I can do it, though. The idea of dropping 20 challenge pts will ensure that. :D I did spend almost an hour and a half working out, though, so maybe I'll be ok on the scale. If not, there's still Friday for the weigh in.

So the next challenge starts up 2 weeks from this Friday, and I'm thinking I might just workout 2-3hrs per week and eat at maintanance for those two weeks. I just want to maintain--not gain. I think maybe my metabolism is a little funky, bc if I'm working out 5hrs a week and averaging 1,745 calories per day (last 2 week's calories), I should be losing weight faster than I am. I've only lost 2.5lbs since mid-December. Granted, I ate like a cow over the holidays, but I've been pretty good all through this challenge and have only lost 2.5lbs in 7 weeks. I used to lose from just working out 3hrs a week and eating about the same amount of calories. So I'm thinking staying between 2000-2500 calories per day would be a good amount. It will also give me a break from all the exercise and strict eating. Kind of a battery recharge before the next challenge.

Hi Kimberly

I hate to think how far Rae would have made herself run if she had eaten that cake though!

Make sure that you do not go over 1528 calories (I seem to remember that there was a 20 calorie extra in the rules) - I dont think that there is a real risk of you going under 508 calories!!!

Trust a man to only do half a job with the cake! - and why didnt he get rid of the cheese popcorn too (see how I know how to lay the blame)!

I am optimistic about the scales for you - you are doing the exercise and keeping to your weekly calorie allocation (which is a logical one for weightloss). They have to be ready to give a nice number soon.

Good luck at the scales and have a good Thursday.

Everyone enjoys a break at times - and eating at maintenance may help things along in the longrun. It is odd that you have not had a better weightloss recently because you have been on average firm with your food and consistent with your exercise. My main fear about turning things down a notch like that for me - is that I am afraid that I may put off starting it up again. The new challenge starting up should go some way towards mitigating the probability of that.

Take care
Love
Margaret
