BikiniBound's Diary

It is great that the condo is all yours now and you have the keys too. It will be busy getting things sorted over the next few weeks - but you will get a real sense of achievement in seeing it change.

Send our birthday greeting to your mother. It sounds like you all had an enjoyable celebration - and I agree that the food sounds pretty good. It is great that you are keeping your weight at a comfortable level with all these stress factors and opportunities for celebration going on - both can be killers to watching our weight.

Congratulations on the baby! Good to know you can control yourself in a yummy restaurant - gives me hope for the rest of the day's temptations. :D

:gnorsi:

Congrats on getting the keys to ur condo! I can't wait to see the before and after photos. Reminds me of HGTV shows! LOL.

WOW Twin, New Baby on the way, New Home! Sounds like a fresh new start in life to me, I'm very happy, HAPPY for you, and I wish you the very best my friend!!

So I don't have to go WAAAAYYY Back and read, when is your due date???

Are you sleepy alot?? I remember I was tired all the time in the first three months. I still can't believe your going to be a mama, AHHHHHHHHH I'm sooo excited!

Hope your weekend is a GREAT ONE!! Don't work to hard.
Lots of love
Kimmers

Sam--thanks! I was expecting a "yo mama" joke after that. Like, yo mama is so old, she was at the very first olympics.

Amber--Yes, it'll be great to have our own place period. :D

Margaret--The eating has been fairly well under control. We got a last minute invite to a friend's for dinner last night, so I kinda ate a lot yesterday. Steak, broccoli, green beans, potato salad, garlic bread and blueberry loaf cake for dessert. Aside from the cake, it wasn't too bad. But then factor in all the orange juice I drank there, and it also added a lot of cals. And the scale reflected it today--up 3lbs from yesterday. It'll be down again tomorrow, though. We ate really late for one thing. And I've had a lot of bathroom action today. :biggrinjester:

Maverick--Don't give me too much credit..lol. I'm usually terrible in restaurants, but managed to keep it somewhat under control that day. Thank God there was no cake involved. :biggrinjester:

Brandy--I'm excited to get the main floor finished and to post pics. I think you'll notice a pretty big difference. I have it all in my head how I want it. :D

Steve--You're sunburnt, too? Mine is nearly over, but my back still itches like a mofo. H is still pretty bad. He's flaking all over the house. It's gross. :ack2:

Not moving for a few weeks--gotta get the place remodelled. So, I could really use a big, strong stud to help us move. You volunteering? :p

Twin--So happy to hear from you!! :hurray: Baby's due March 21st. I AM sleepy. I've become very fond of afternoon naps when I can get one in. In fact, I'd like to take one now, but am stuck at the office. :cuss: Thanks for all your congrats. :)

I'm trying not to get too excited about this b/c I don't know how long it'll last. But it looks like my parents are trying to lose weight to be healthier for their grandchild! :hurray: I really hope they stick to it.

~*Congrat's!!*~ :hurray:

Can't wait to see the pics when you guys are finished remodeling!

LMBO at yarmiah's "monkey" comment! :biggrinjester:

We love the Aloe & Vit. E Lotion by Banana Boat.

It soothes and prevents peeling.

I haven't peeled yet this summer! I know it's the lotion since I have so much Irish in me! lol :D

:grouphug: Glad things are gettin' better for ya!

I'm so pleased to hear that the baby is encouraging your parents to lose weight and try to rescue their health. We all know that eventually something can make a switch go on that can really make an enormous difference to our will-power to do this. Make sure that they know how possible it is - even for really big people.

If you havent done so before - show them the before / after pictures of Charlie Walduck. They always motivated me. He lost 30 stone in two years on UK daytime tv. You can google for his name.

Jeez
I drop out for a couple of days and I can barely keep up with all the goings on! LOL
So glad to hear that you guys are into your condo. I loved when we got our house and I was able to just come in and tear things all to heck. Especially all the wallpaper that had the dumb goose on it. You know the one. The white country goose with the blue bow around his neck.
The people who had the house before us had him everywhere in various patterns. YIKES!
Also glad to hear that things are still going well in the baby department.
Wish I had a good enough excuse to take naps every day. :biggrinjester:
Catch ya later.

Stacy--Too late with sunburn help. The peeling is nearly finished. :)

Margaret--I don't know how long it'll last re my parent's weight loss attempts. I'm not holding my breath. I don't need to show them that guy's pics when I have yours. They are just as inspiring imo. :)

Dawn--We haven't moved into the condo yet. That will be several weeks away. So far all we've done is buy a few things for it last night. We have some serious work to do in the kitchen that I'm not looking forward to..lol. Today all I've done is sit on my ass watching the olympics..lol. I don't blame you for stripping that wallpaper. I would've done the same. :biggrinjester:

While grocery shopping last night, I started looking in the baby stuff aisles--clothes, carriers, cribs, high chairs, strollers, etc. I love all the baby stuff. It's so damn cute. Can't wait to start buying some. :D

Weight was down 3.5lbs from yesterday. Now at 220.

The baby stuff is so cute- my youngest is 7 and I still love to google at baby shoes. LOL A word of advise when shopping: if you can avoid it, don't buy anything other than baby food at the grocery store- the over charge for everything.

Well, this is a place similar to a Wal-Mart called Meijers. Their prices are pretty competitive with all other stores. Don't worry--I'm an incredibly savvy bargain hunter. :)

I too love shopping for baby clothes.
Here is a useful hint.
Keep your eye out for the clearance rack in the clothing. Even though you don't know if your having a boy of a girl they do still sell some things neutral.
If you can, pick up things here and there for next summer, fall and winter. Otherwise you will always be buying for the size your babe is instead of buying ahead. At least for that 1 year.
Lets see your due March 21st so I would say you need size 6-9 months for most of summer. And I would shoot for 12 months stuff for the fall winter.
Most babies are wearing 12 months before their 1st b-day.

I'm a sucker for the baby stuff. I always look even though I'm not pregnant. LOL. Though, most of my friends on this site are!!! Why not me?! :( LOL.

Fingers crossed that this time - your parents will become driven and make real progress. We all know that suddenly something snaps and it all happens.

You are so sweet to say that my photos are as motivating as Charlie Walduck's. You have no idea how many times I have opened his photos just to sanity check that I was trying to do something really possible.

Whilst I can understand you being reticent to buy baby things yet (space considerations until settled into your own place, tempting fate until further into the pregnancy) I am sure that before too long you will be buying up neutral things for the baby like it is going out of style. There are such cute little outfits everywhere - and you will not be able to resist them.

Quite a few of my friends spoke of resisting buying up too much in the first size because a/ babies grow very quickly and b/ you can get a whole ton of presents in the first size so that you have too many things for the baby to wear and then nothing a couple of months later. They reckoned that it was better to put into your bottom drawer things for a size or two along.

Kimberly, congratulations on the condo! That's excellent, talk about a stress-relief! And just in time, awwwww :D

Sounds like good news all around with your parents' decision to lose weight. I also hope they stick with it--happy nesting, now! Glad your weight went down :)

Hey BB! Sorry I missed your call the other day, I was taking a nap. Lol! We'll have to plan another time to get together on the phone, I'd love to chat with ya!
