BikiniBound's Diary

I've had exactly the same problem the last week or two. I drink my liter bottle of water 2-3 times a day, get plenty of fiber even without any particular reason, lots of exercise, and am still constipated. No clue why.

This too shall pass. So to speak. ;)

Oh, it passed allright! heha. Let's just say I'm pooped out.

Bella--it was probably Benton Harbor b/c Michigan City is in Indiana...lol An hour on the elliptical!? :ack2:

Happychubbette--yeah, it is a drag, but I'm sure I would've hit a new low today if I hadn't eaten so much yesterday. :ack2:

Margaret--That's great that you have your binges under control. About once a month I tend to have a mini one. :ack2: The only way I like raisins is in raisin bran. :D

I got in my hour of exercise today, so that makes me happy. That's 90min so far this week. As far as food goes, I've had 887 calories so far, but we are going to a steakhouse for dinner tonight, so I'm a bit worried. We got a giftcard for it for Christmas. I have only eaten there once before, and it was about 4yrs ago, so I'm not sure about their menu. I'm thinking a steak with baked potato and veggies should be ok.

Grrrrrrrrr! I am trying so hard to be good today, and my parents just came home with a crap load of junk food. Bags of chocolates, tortilla chips, brownies, etc. :banghead: Just what my diabetic 5'3" 400lb mother needs.

Yup. I need to move out.

Love the light house avi. Amazing how big a lake can be actually.

Glad you had your little bathroom issues resolved. Now you did a nice refeed on Fri and its back to the ole grindstone. I myself cut out the cookies I'd allowed myself upon arriving to my sister's goody stocked house [there's a whole cabinet reserved for snacks/junk food].

TTYL girl :).

The first time my H flew over Lake Michigan he was trying to figure out which ocean it was. He was thinking it couldn't be the Pacific, but it wasn't far enough East to be the Atlantic. Then he realized it was Lake Michigan..lol. When you are looking into the horizon, it looks like the ocean. But in my opinion it's better b/c it's freshwater and there aren't any sharks or jellyfish to be afraid of. :D There is a nasty undertow, however.

Saturday's food: 1,839 calories, 35g fiber

Well, I managed to do pretty well today. Dinner at the steakhouse was really good. I had a side salad, 8oz sirloin, broccoli, and baked potato. I also had a bit of bread and some peanuts. All in all, it was just under 1000 calories including the butter. I wish I didn't love butter so damn much. :D

A funny thing happened tonight. When we got to the restaurant they said it was an hour wait. It was packed. So they took our name and gave us our little vibrating, flashing thing that goes off when our table's ready. Since we had an hour to kill, we decided to walk over to the bookstore behind the restaurant. Actually, I jogged b/c it was only 4 degrees out at the time. So I was sitting in the bookstore reading a book when the thing in my pocket started vibrating and a voice said, "your table is ready. Please see the hostess." It was pretty loud, and people around me could hear it. The damn thing kept beeping and saying that as I was trying to find H. People were laughing at me. :smilielol5: I finally found H and we ran back to the restaurant, with that damn thing vibrating, beeping and talking to me the whole way. I was ready to smash it to the ground. That was so embarrassing in the bookstore. It wasn't even close to an hour wait--30min at most.

Hi Kimberly

Well done for being good with your food. The calories were fine and you did a good amount of exercise. I always find the first day after a binge difficult so you did really well.

It was tough that your parents put temptation in your way like that - you shouldnt have to put up with that. I am lucky because hubby now limits himself to the kind of treats that I dont find too tempting. Any news of when the money will arrive so that you can get that guest house? Is it worth you starting looking for suitable property now? I think that you are right - you do need to move out.

Have a good Sunday.

Take care
Love
Margaret

I loved your story with your pocket vibrator :willy_nilly:

It reminds me of a friend of mine who wanted to breast feed her baby. At work, she used to sneak off to the toilets to use an electric extraction vibrating thingy to pump out some milk for baby back at home. Only from outside the toilet door, it didn't sound like a milk pump, but some other sort of electrical vibrating device!
She only found out later that the gossip going round the building was that she was obviously really desperate :biggrinjester:

Hi Kimberly!

That is hilarious! I never seen or heard of a table-ready-indicator thingy....I'm so glad to see you in the very low 220s, the last I was here regularly I think you had just broke into them. Nice with the shower sex! And don't worry too much about the binge day, they happen and sure, it takes a few days to rack up an equivalent deficit, but it WILL happen. Miss you! :waving:

I'm not sure when the money will arrive. They take longer to close in Australia than we do here in the States. I think it can take as long as mid-April, and then I would imagine it would take a bit longer for my H to actually receive his share of the $$. I am already looking, but I cannot do anything until I know exactly how much he'll get. At this time I can only guess, and that isn't good enough.

I have my eyes on a few places, but they could be sold by the time the $$ arrives. I am not even sure if we could get financed. I did some research last night, and it looks like we might be able to do a 10% down 5yr fixed rate 25yr amoratization--which would be wonderful. However, I don't know if we'd qualify, and I feel weird asking a lender without knowing the size of our capital. In the meantime, I am going to look into H and I taking some innkeeping seminars.

It's cold out today--11F/-12C. Burrrrr.....last night was below zero fahrenheight.

HA! There was no shower sex, silly. I meant the other kind of action in the bathroom...lmao.

I haven't hit a new low since Dec. 11th, so I'm probably where I was the last time you checked in. I ate whatever the hell I wanted to over the holidays. :biggrinjester:

Don't they have those little things in California restaurants? I would think they had them long before we did, as Cali is the bastion of progression. heehee. We've had them here for at least 5 yrs--but usually only the chains use them. It was so embarrassing b/c the bookstore was as quiet as a library, and the employees were giving me nasty looks. Oh well. I was planning on heading back about 15 minutes before we were due so as not to encounter that situation. But I didn't realize the damn things beeped and talked--nor was I sure it would even work 100+yds from the restaurant...:biggrinjester:

I miss you, too, bunny. :)

Awwww! Sweet! Yeah maybe Cali DOES and I'm just going to restaurants that don't have em! I don't go out to eat very much at all because I'm trying to "live within my means" and all that. I was cooking for myself everyday, all meals, which was nice but the dishes got on my nerves--probably a contributing factor to me going raw. Have a great night!

HUGS

Innkeeping seminars are a good idea.

I would suggest that guessing is good enough. Estimations are just guesses. You need to find out if you qualify and if you dont - how things can be altered so that you do. I would go and have an informal chat at the bank or building society and see what they suggest. Obviously you would not be in a position to make an application - but you should be able to get a good idea where you stand.

You want to be able to move fast when the money does come through.

There may be an organisation that exists to encourage the formation and nurturing of small businesses. The following exist in the UK and I would not be surprised if there is some form of equivalent there.

Skim through and see if you can find something similar there. I am sure that these types bodies could assist you produce the kind of business plan that you need to get your finance sorted out.

Margaret--We have small business bureaus around here that can be helpful. Also, being in real estate, I know a few lenders who might be able to help us. I've already talked to my main lender. She only does residential loans, but said she can put me in touch with the commercial person in her company.

Since we came very close to buying a house in Tasmania to turn into a B&B in 2001, I have already done quite a bit of research.

The scale said 223lbs today--so I'm almost down to my ticker weight. I really am hoping for a new low in the next day or two.

Hey there Kimberly,
