Bikini here I Come

Kara,

FF & Chillen are awesome guys....but they're entirely in a different league then us "looking to lose weighter's". FF is some kind of class-3, megatron endurance quadathlete...what he eats, takes & does is in a whole other world.

Toss the fat-burners; it's all hype & bs. While they'll have you believe the pills will help your body unleash it's fat-burning potential, burn fat more efficiently, etc, etc...it's all been proven relatively ineffective. The only stuff that is effective is dangerous, and the stuff that isn't dangerous isn't effective. Coke, crack & meth work....get my point? Hey, we've all been to college, leave it behind ya. :D

Just about everything you need will be derived when you eat a well-balanced diet. A good multi-vitamin is a good call, so is some fish/flax oil. Some people take a bit of calcium, but again...you'll likely be getting more then enough from a good diet of whole & natural food. That's the best source, pre-packaged from nature with everything you need to assimilate it into your body.

If you wanna get jiggy with it...I like making my own huge pitcher of ice-tea. I mix bags of green tea, rasberry, mint and then add just a wee bit of honey. It'll give you some flavinoids, phenyl-something's, antioxidants and some taste...maybe a bit of kick as well. I also dabble with some Zip-Fizz (you can find it at Costco)..it's lots of vitamin B's, some caffiene and whatever. Does it help? I dunno...I'd guess 5 additional minutes on the elliptical would make more of a difference!

I'm a metabolic nightmare...but for you, it's just simple: eat right, exercise and at your young age it'll all come together just fine. There's no magic recipe or mysterious approach to it. Calories in vs. calories out. Don't exceed a 20% deficit in calories, give yourself a break now and then, be patient: it's hard to see loses when you live in your body every day. Attitude is everything...it has to come from inside....the rest falls into place.

Welcome to the forum... :)
