Yesterday was a nice and relaxing off day. Eat pretty well but it was my grandmothers birthday so I had some cake and ice cream. Made up for that with some late night cardio on the bike.
Today is my chest shoulders and tricep day, I will update you on the workout later

Meal one: eggs oatmeal (no fruit) :( we ran out.

Barbecue: can stew the new you.......lol........Looks good. though I cant stand barbecue.......I know I suck....LOL

Hey BigStew, great to see you back!

Can I ask why you do seated calf raises? Do you prefer that to just putting a barbell over your shoulders and doing it that way?

The calves r made up of mainly 2 different muscles soleus(long head running to the achilles) and gastrocenmius(big diamond part that u refer to the calf as). The soleus it exercised better when the knee is bent like during seated calf raises. Also soleus responds better to higher reps. Gastrocenmius responds better to low and moderate reps and is worked best when legs are straight. If you follow my journal you will see that I switch between the bent knee and straight leg every other workout so that I hit each part evenly.

Was not able to update you guys with yesterday workout so here it goes:

Chest/Shoulders and Triceps
Flat Bench 5x5
Flat DB Bench 3x8
Weight Dips 3x8
Clean and Press 6x10
Close Grip Bench on Smith Machine 5x8

I have started to do my close grip bench on the smith because I can feel it more and also by the time I get the the exercise I dont want to get myself in trouble becuase I lift alone

Meal today:
Eggs and Oatmeal

I will be hitting the back and biceps today. Width day so a lot of pull ups
 
MEals for the day:
Meal2:
Chicken and Brown Rice
Meal 3 postworkout:
Protein Shake oatmeal and Blueberries
Meal4: steak sweet potato

Meal 5:
Chicken adn almonds
Meal6:
protein shake mixed with Natty PB and almonds

Workout was back and biceps width style:
Machine pullovers: 4x12
Wide pullups: 3x10
Close grip pull downs 3x10
Rev grip pull downs 3x10
BB Curls 6x8

Great workout the pump in my lats was out of this world

Got legs tomorrow which means ATG Squats. Update you guys Tomorrow

Warm up Leg extentions
Squats 5x5
Leg Press 4x8
Stiff Deads DB 4x8
BB Lunges 3x12 each leg
Standing Calf Raises in Smith 5x8-10

This was one of the best leg workout I have had in a very long time.

Postworkout like always was a protein shake oatmeal and blueberries

Meal 4: Eating now with steak and sweet potato with some veggies
 
Today is a off day and also my first day of classes
I started the day with fasted cardio 30 minutes low intensity:
Meal1
Breakfast
Eggs oatmeal
Meal 2
Chicken and Rice
Meal 3
Chicken and Rice

Class went well today this semester I am taking more of my finance courses(majoring in finance and exercise Science)
Accounting
Communication
Philosophy
Art (have to take it hope it is a joke)
Microeconomics
 
I took and then dropped Micro. Mainly because our professor died after the first class and the replacement guy went off on a math tangent with the same material for 3 weeks.

Today was my first class as well. Social Issues. This is required of the teacher certification program, which I am not doing now. Class should be fairly easy.

WOrkout today:
Chest Shoulders and Triceps
INcline BB Press 5x5
INcline DB Press 3x8
Dip(lean forward) 3x12 with 45 plate hanging :) very happy with this
Upright rows BB 4x10
Standing Military Press 3x8
Close Bench Press 4x8

Great workout. For some reason it took a little longer than usually. I think that I took longer rest periods because I was really pushing the weight but I had the time so who cares. Great workout
