BiggiePR's Diary (Starting P90X Feb 20 2008 update pg 3)

Ok im going to do this....Im too depressed and i need to do something about this now...
Im 6'2 340 last time i weighted myself at the gym... ill weight myself tomorrow and update...This time im going to finish.. first goal 300lbs...

Good for you. I know how it feels, my highest ever was about 250lbs. I HATED the scale, and I hated mirrors, when washing my hands at the mall, I never looked at the mirror. I weighed about 235 at the beginning of the month, n dropped down to around 212-215. Goodluck to you bro, thats good, small steps at a time, 300lbs is a good goal. take it slow..we'll make it. N good for you, taking your life in your own hands. Keep us updated with how everything is going. N keep writing in ur journal for feedback or support. :)
 
:D Your first goal is a very reasonable one, I'm setting myself smaller goals rather than one big one too and it's helping me as you feel you are achieving something a wee bit more and a wee bit more often. Good luck in your quest!
 
You can do this!!! Just eat healthier and don't limit your options just your portions :D Have a wonder new day and enjoy.. Drink your WATER

All it takes is consistency. Any good health change just needs to contain some consistency which is most of our problems. I am also fed up and depressed so I am with you on the change. I myself am going to start walking 2-3 miles before I come to work each morning. Go us!!!

Lets do this!!! Just came back from the gym, did 40 mins of threadmill that burned 320 cal, plus i did full routines for biceps, 6 exercises 3 sets of 12 - 15 reps, plus did 2 exercises of chest of 3 sets each 12 - 15 reps per set... my weight was 341 today..... ill weight again next monday! im about to have my after gym meal, ill post it later! Thanks for the support and cheryl, keep me updated!! Thanks!!!!!!!
 
Good for you! Those workouts are sooo worth it. Afterwards I know there are times when I feel so sore and so tired but at the same time it feels SO good knowing what I just did for myself. It's totally worth it. Keep at it! I know you can do it!
 
ok my first meal of the day....

6oz tuna in water
3 egg whites
1 full pear
64oz water...

BTW, im going to the gym as soon as i wake up, i read that going into the gym on an empty stomach can increase the fatburn by 300%.. correct me if im wrong!! Thanks!

Ok, i didnt went to the gym early today, went to the movies early, i started the day wrong i think ate a bag of popcorn with a large diet coke.... it was the first meal of the day for me, came back, do some computer work, then had my mid day meal... about 10oz of turkey fillet, with a cup of brocoli and a big glass of crystal light... right now im waiting an hour or so to work out at my home, jump some rope and hit the boxing bag, im planning on do at leasr 30 mins of this combined... i know i started the day wrong but i got the intention of finishing it strong.... the pop corn was the first meal and i think that as the day goes by the body can burn this bad calories.. is this correct?? also, Drinking Crystal light can be considered as drinking water??? Thanks a lot in advance!!!
 
Ok, had another set down late yesterday, nothing big, but i ate late, i was hungry and i couldnt sleep, so i had to had a snack, as soon as i had the snack i was able to sleep, go figure.. lol...anyways, just woke up, feeling pretty well, no pain or anything , so im heading for the gym now, on an empty stomach like always, ill do some Cardio and Weights, ill update when i get back...
 
hey there! Well done so far, it takes a lot of motivation to go to the gym before breakfast! Breakfast is definately my favourite meal - but i may adopt the same technique with my swimming because im sure breakfast tastes better after lotsa work!
 
It is really good for me, i go to the gym first then after that i eat without any guilt cause i know i just burned 500 - 600 calories in the gym... plus from what i read after you workout the body needs fuel, so when you eat after the workout the body uses those calories to recover muscle and stuff and it doesnt converts the calories to fat.. something like that but you get the idea!! I love the Fact that you started of the day with a WRONG meal:eek: but you finshed it healthy... Most people I know will continue to eat badly just cause they had one bad meal. One bad meal will not ruin the rest, for the day.

*Two Thumbs Up* Your are doing good. Keep it up. As far as I know Crystal light is consider as WATER..... Well, Have a GREAT Weekend and don't forget to DRINK YOUR WATER :D

Just wondering if you were having any better luck with your sleep schedule. I'm pulling for you. I don't know how anyone can accomplish ANYTHING without regular sleep. Hang in there!
 
Well im doing a little better but im not completely there yet, i am cutting up on late snacks thats for sure, but still getting there, im doing this in baby steps and trying to do all the excercise i can... ill know if this is working on monday when i step on the Scale and see whats up.....Thanks!!

I just wanted to say hi and that it sounds like you're doing a great job! It is so easy to blow off the whole day after a 'bad meal' that's why it really does boil down to one meal at a time.

Keep up the great work!
 
Hi!! i hit the scale today at the gym and i lost 5 pounds!!! I know its not that much but finally that scale began to go down!!! Im going to step it up a notch this week, and ill keep you all updated!! Thanks a lot to everybody, this forum has been a blessing for me... Thanks!!
 
hey keep it up. as a guy your going to have a big appetite. if you have some bad foods dont worry.just make up for it the next meals of the day. since your working out the scale will go up and down. youll prob see more results by the way your clothes fit rather than the numbers on the scale
