Biggest Loser Tonight

I was dancing a jig myself when Amy went home. How whiney and needy she was. Definitely not a team player by any means. I'm so relieved Bryan was saved another week. He works really hard.

I agree. The right person went home. At the begining of the show when they said it was going to be single's and the camera zoomed in on her butt I almost laughed to myself. I KNEW she'd be blow the yellow line. Only question would be would she be the one going home.

Im glad she was. Everyone else there works their ass off and wants to be there bad enough they do what it takes.

I love Kae...tho I'm glad she went home, she certainly missed her family enough during the show and she had it down as to how to get in shape and stay there =)

I watch the show here and there, I'm only really interested in the last show tho.

The first hour was completely unable to hold me captive (flickin' over to the hockey match more than usual).

In the true fashion in gamesmanship, the best got sent home and I'm ok with that. It is just a game, right ?? I'm not convinced Kae will pull the percentage she needs by shows end to scoop the 100K prize. My prediction is Phil will claim the coins. Major kudos on how incredible she looked.

An inspiration to all the watchers on their own journeys no matter what stage.

Kae is awesome!

She is everything this show is meant for and about!

What a Super Great Lady she is!

Of course I boohoo'd w/all of them gettin' to visit family/friends..

lol

Julie's comments about Boo really pissed me off... She has really been gettin' on my nerves.

Neil's comments at the end RE: Jillian and the Black Team were sooooo stupid.

He is 100% playin' the game and those comments just made him look like an idiot.

I LOOOOOVE THE SHOW! My Mum and I watch it together every week (whilst I jog in place like an idiot! LOL). I, too, was exceedingly thrilled when Amy got sent packing - and also thrilled to see that she has continued her WL journey. Man, those folks work so UNBELIEVABLY hard physically to lose the pounds. I would think they'd find it pretty freaking hard in the "real world" to find several hours per day to work out!

The show is very inspirational to me, even though I would personally like to slug Jillian and tie Kim down to force feed her a box of donuts! :sifone: I do like Bob, however. In my dreams I am shaped like Kim...

Anyhoo, glad others enjoy the show, too! I wonder who will win...:seeya:

Our 'Super Bowl' is about to start and no one has posted since 11-30 ??

shaaaa-right !!

good luck finalist !!

I'm picking Phil for the 'at home' and Hollie for the quarter mill.

Jim won the at home but I'm amazed by how well Amy did off campus. She was such a lazy negative person on campus...but did great at home.

They all look great though.

This show is 'in your face' proof that anyone who complains that they can't lose weight is full of sh*at.

Was great to see the results from sweat and tears over half a year.

I enjoyed the finale as well. I didn't watch the season after the first few episodes.... but they all made fantastic progress.

Those twins were jacked!

Those twins WERE jacked! All the transformations were incredible. I just kept thinking through the whole show, this should be mandatory viewing for the 64% of Americans who are overweight or obese. If these people could do what they did in the short amount of time they had, anyone could do it if they really wanted to. Yes, they had trainers that were on them 24/7 and yes they were shown what to eat and how to cook, but everything worthwhile takes work and anyone can learn these things. The resources are everywhere.

Yea, I'm divided on the impact the show has. It certainly is promising to those that are lacking hope at the moment, to see others accomplish what you want who were in most cases, worse off than you currently are.

On the other hand, I worry about it setting up false hopes. The giant numbers they put up each and every week for example.

Weight loss in the Biggest Loser Camp is a lot different than the real world.... and I could see where people might not recognize this and it could set up for some pretty harsh frustrations.

That said, what the finale says in a nutshell from my perspective is, people can stop saying, "I can't lose weight," "my body's different," "my hormones are screwed up."

It shows that in the end, hard work and consistency always trumps all.

thata is my biggest objection to the show...

It shows that in the end, hard work and consistency always trumps all.
that is what wins in the end but I don't see the show as proving that...

at least not in the few minutes of the show i've seen...

well we havnt even got the first episode of this *sigh* probably have to download it i guess.

Steve, i have to admit, these shows were inspirational seriously in the beginning, now that of course ive lost most of the weight i cant stand the first few episodes where they winge and whine (I just want to smack some sense into them!), but yeah they are a real inspiration so you think 'hey maybe i CAN loose the weight ...'
