Biggest Loser "Couples"

My baby is only 20 months, so she just loves her fruit. Any kind'll do. I'm wondering when that's going to change. I water down her fruit juice so she doesn't develop a sweet tooth. Certainly it wouldn't be but once a year that she would find herself eating those donuts. Poor Whatshisname's son even ran under the table to eat his donut in peace LOL.

I was just flabbergasted at all the soda Paul was drinking. How are you going to waste all those calories on liquids?! Drink some diet soda or better still, water, you're on a WL show! It just showed how he'll never keep it off at home. And did you see his girlfriend hand him that huge plate of wings? What were these people thinking? Obviously the show made them go out to a tempting meal, but with the cameras around you'd think they'd be embarrassed to succumb. I was proud of Bernie, foregoing a cupcake named after him.

I was very surprised that Paul did not gain 20 pounds. His attitude was so bad at elimination, too. I really hope he gets some counseling.

God Bless,
mik

Paul's attitude was TERRIBLE! The faces he was making at elimination...ughh...I wanted to reach through the TV and slap him.

GO BRITNEY for speaking up! She said what I would have said in much nicer words than I would have ever used.

I missed almost the entire show but the last 10 minutes. I wish I would've seen it. What good stuff did I miss? I guesstimate Paul will gain all this weight back eventually. He has major issues swimming around in that head of his.

Poor Paul's girlfriend. I figure when she watches the show and sees him talk about how he's in love with Kelly it's going to hurt her! I am assuming she hadn't seen any of it when she was talking about how afraid she was that he was going to "fall in love"... It's been painful to watch. I am glad he's gone. His attitude was very bad and he defiantly needs some therapy or something!!! that boy has issues!!!

She should have had some indication that something was going on when he wanted to go on BL with his ex wife. Pretty much a red flag right there. Personally, I really wanted them to get back together.

yes red flag for sure but no way for them to get back together. It seemed to me like it was a hard thing for her to leave him and he seemed pretty manipulative and needy and petty to me. I was glad Kelly held strong to what she believed was right. I am no fan of divorce but sometimes there are good reasons! I think his true character came out in the end.... though I will say he had a point about he and Kelly being the outsiders... he just didn't handle it very well.

It makes you wonder how out of proportion they(the producers) made his eating look. Maybe there was some exercising and healthy eating they didn't show to add drama? lol I love the drama;) It bugs me though that they manipulate the show for ratings. They just gloss over some stuff I think is so important.... like how he lost that weight! hope it doesn't give anyone the wrong impression.... like you will eat chicken wings and drink cokes and still lose weight... that's a slippery slope. It will be fascinating to see him at the finale!

It just goes to show that at a certain weight (that being the key of course) you can still eat a fair amount and still lose weight. I wish all the 1200 calorie per day dieters that start on our forum knew that its not necessary to starve to take off weight.

At first I also hoped that Kelly and Paul would get back together. But then when I saw her BF I was like, no way, he's a lot better for her and she's a lot happier with him. She seems really committed to the weight loss too, unlike Paul with his SODA! I mean you cant substitute a cake or wings if that's what you really want (not that its a good idea) but come on, you can just have a darn diet coke if soda's what you're after. That was a total waste of calories.

Notice how if they have a bad week then next week they'll have a good week and vice versa? The body isn't going to shed 14 pounds two weeks in a row, despite their behavior. I think Blue is in trouble next week.

I wonder if having the two on the Blue team weigh in early will backfire on them--meaning that they have an extra day now for the next weigh in. I just don't see the black team members that are left putting up the numbers they need. Of course, I hope they prove me wrong.

It seemed like this whole show focussed on the Blue team at home more than anyone else--those guys are going to do great at home even after the "Ranch" portion.

yeah it was really inspiring to see the families pull together and see the success they had. I think with people around you supporting you you can be so much more successful!
I agree I think it will backfire too. It gives them an extra day to workout for the next one. Blue is kicking some butt.... :( I am rooting for black of course. I like Brittany and Bernie. I think they have been really focused and have done well for not having the connection the others had!

Was it wrong that i felt bad for that little boy who kept stealing cinnamon rolls. It was a treat and he just wanted one. Suddenly taking them away and throwing them out can only have confused him and taught him that some food is " bad" . The rolls may not have been the most healthy thign but there was a better way to explain it.

I do hate how people keep forgetting that for all his sins Paul still pulled out 5 pounds. He has also shown to be a strong competitor (the bucket rope challenge as well as getting across the pool and getting the little foam blocks) He screwed up, backslid and has had issues but he's human like everyone else. He also just had to reveal some very deeply buried emotional issues.

I LOVE THIS SHOW! It is so good, every single week! I really hope that Paul can continue losing, but this week was not a good indicator that such will be the case. I truly just could not understand why he would totally pig out when he has worked so hard! He is a really strong competitor when his brain is in the zone, all right.

It sure seems like the WL deck is stacked in favor of the blue team. Those guys are so huge! Except Dan. But I was TOTALLY shocked by how much weight they lost this week! Actually, I have my doubts about how healthy it is to lose 16 pounds in one week...OMGosh, I would be over the moon to lose just 3 lbs in one week! LOL

Be sure to tune in next week for the continuing drama...:willy_nilly:
Cheers

Yep, Biggest Loser is a show on NBC. It comes on Tuesday nights. It usually starts at 7, but times vary occasionally. I LOVE the show, but am pretty sure that they way they lose weight is not very healthy. They are watched by doctors, though. The fact is that it is a very inspiring show...gotta love inspiration.

i think they will all gain it back...but that is just my personal opinion and i hope they prove me wrong. oh..and it starts at 8pm for those on the east coast. and yeah, as tiffany said it doesn't always start at the same time so if you want to catch it you should look it up.

Thanks for telling me what it was, I need to see that so i can get more will power. :hurray:

We don't know how many cinnamon rolls the kid had already had. I mean, he might already have had a couple - and I'm sorry, Mark's kids were already on their way to being overweight. His daughter was heavy for being what? 6? She was twice my daughter's size, and my kid is going on 9. I don't fault him at all for putting the kibosh on the pastries.

God Bless,
mik
