Biggest Looser @ Work Journal

A bunch of us at work have started a biggest looser challenge and I wanted to document the efforts so I can keep track of how I am doing. I am such a yo yo'er and I am going to do this for good this time! So here is how it is going down.

5 teams, 5 people on each team

Weight loss is based on percentage lost

Each person put in $25.00, the winning team wins $ and over all winner wins $

Weigh in on Mondays (except for this week, about 80% of the members are out of the office for a training - Friday is weigh in this week)

If you are out of the office and you tell the Coordinator you remain at the previous weeks weight for that weigh in, if you fail to notify the Coordinator it is an automatic 5# weight gain.

Dates are from September 10th thru Dec 13 = 13 weeks total.

I am on the Green Team.... aka the Lean Green Machine

My first weigh in was 140 pounds on 9/10/07

Lol yes it is, brough down many a nation too...

Good luck, and do it safe... it is great to have a team to report tooo, will keep you honest... hehe

Weighed in yesterday at work. 137.6, from 140.4. My team did not have the winning percentage this week. A man from the Pink team lost 10 pounds, can you believe that! 10 pounds in one week. My team overall lost 16 pounds. Not to bad! Every team lost between 13 - 17 pounds. They changed the weigh in day to Wednesday instead of Monday That works better for me, so that I have a few days to recover if I flub up on the weekend once or twice :)

Weighed today and lost 1 pound. Not to bad given it has only been 4 days between weigh ins. I have been going to the Y 5 nights a week for an hour, 1/2 on the elliptical and 1/2 on the treadmill.

136.6

I will know the results tomorrow where Lean Green is!

weigh in tomorrow!

My team did not win last week either. The same guy keeps loosing big numbers, be does weigh quite a bit, but it is a good thing he is loosing!!! One team gained 1.5 pounds, not so good.

I have been going to the Ymca 5 nights a week and exercising for an hour and eating pretty good.

weighed in today and I am down 4 pounds from a week ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What sucks is this. I found out that the guy that has lost the most each week so far, he has been taking water pills and appetite supressants! This is cheating in my opinion!!!! He should be kicked out... GRRRR. There is over 500 bucks on the line, he is winning by cheating!!! So not fair.

Weighed in today and gained 2 pounds. But yesterday began TOM and I know I am retaining water like there is no tomorrow. Hopefully it will be gone by next weigh in. I have been going to the Y 5 times a week still, 1/2 hour on the eliptical and 1/2 hour on the treadmill. 2 miles on each in distance. I am burning about 450 calories a day. I did have a few cheat days last week because we had a pitch in at work, and had some cake. But I have been very diligant on the exersice.

I was the biggest looser last week though :)

8 more weeks to go.

It would only be cheating if you guys agreed that it would be a rule from the start. I would not worry about it. He can only drop so much water then he will have to really bust ass and any little slip up and he will put wieight on prob right at the end of the contest. The smart money would be if you were going to use somthing like water pills to do it the last couple weeks in the home stretch when the weight loss is harder and you have less chance of crashing and putting it back before the end of the contest. The real thing to remember is all that weight will come back the weight your losing is real from diet and working out that will stay off.

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK

:hug2:
