Big tailbone help

sup all !!! how the weekend going ??? I hope good !!

anyway I am here to ask for some advice ....

I usually workout ate home, and everything goes well except when I do my ab workout ...
I usually just lay on the floor, legs at 90 and and I go all the way up... however I have big tail bone and it hurts like hell whenever I do ab workouts ... I tried sitting on 2 towels however it still hurts !!

even ate the gym on those incline "bed" it hurts !!
any other good ab workout do you guys recommend ???

invest in a gym ball, also called swiss or yoga balls.

They are great for abs and there are many many exercises you can do with them. If you work out at home you may find it very helpfull to buy a book which will show you how to work your lower back, obliques, abs, chest and legs with body weight exercises using just the yoga ball

i tried using those balls, but they didn't seemed to work the abs that hard ....

what about those rollers ... where you are on your knees and roll forward and backward ..??? no good ??

thanks all !

I second this advice.

Unless you are going to put yourself on a specific program designed by someone, use the ball. The reason you may not have felt dramatic effects before is most likely not the fault of the ball, but the exercises.

If you use the ball with dumbbells, for example, you can always go heavier if you need to.

When using light weight and toning, you can do variations of exercise.

The purpose of the ball is to always keep you from putting the work of the weights beyond the abdominal and lower back areas. Being that the ball is curved, it forces you to use that region to maintain balance on any movement. -Hence, the more weight you do, the harder it is to stay balanced, and therefore, the harder the muscles work.

When you have a full range of exercises that target your abs, and use a ball, you have an incredibly effective targeted motion.

thanks all for the advices !!
gonna try the ball again with some weights now :p
also for my lower abs I am doing the one where you hold a chair over your head and raise your legs up..... any other that would be good ?? or is this good enough ?

also is this machine any good for the abs ?? or is it useless ?? because I can get it for free :D :D and it doen't hurt my sitbone !! :p

thanks all
