Hi all,

Thanks for looking at my diary, I have been reading other peoples for a few weeks now and decided today that its time I join up and start to sort my self out.
So you can take pride in the diary that you’re doing as they have helped me make the first step.

About me:
Im 23 and from Hertfordshire, England. I have always been over weight but also always played sport. I played Football (Soccer) for all of my childhood and teens, I stopped playing last year in favour of Rugby which I am really enjoying. I weigh 333lbs (23.8st):banghead: but still manage to keep up with my sports and social life.
I have now decided that its time to lose this weight and my LONG term Goal is to get down to around 16stone (224lbs) maybe a little nearer to 17stone, I’m not sure and will decide nearer to the time. My first goal is to be less than 300lbs which I would like to be by the end of June (13 Weeks). After that I will set my self some more goals as I go along.

I aim to eat healthy and around 2,200 cal per day to begin with and working out in the gym 3 times and week and playing Rugby 2 times a week.
I will post my Food Diary twice a week or more if I get the time with a weekly weight check.

Anyway hope you enjoy it and you never no it might help inspire someone else to start the trip to a smaller person.

Sounds like you have a good plan, you seem to get plenty of exercise so you definitely need to concentrate your efforts on what you eat, indeed. To best advice I can give you is to be completely honest and accountable to yourself, make sure you make a note of everything you consume each day (you don't necessarily have to count calories, I don't) and post it in your diary. It'll help keep you on track and give you a really great picture of what's been keeping you big. Your short term and long term targets are definitely achievable, I started close to your weight back in October and since then have lost 50lbs (though a couple crept back on this week!). I don't get as much exercise as you have described you do, and as someone who thought the weight will never come off, I've been amazed to see it happen with a little more activity in my life and more control over what I eat.

No gimmicks necessary, keep up the level of activity you already have, cut out the crap and eat a decent and healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner every day and the pounds will start to drop off you I am sure. Good luck!

Thanks for the comments.
