Big Mac's Lifestyle Change

Jillian works out for a living, so shes almost on another plateau, haha. I don't think many of us will ever look like a celebrity personal trainer. What do you think MissD?

Well considering I want to be a personal trainer, I hope I look the part!! But I agree, if you did workout for a living you would be "jacked" like her.

There is a fitness competor and expert trainer Minna Lessig, if I wanted to look like anyone it would be her! Expect for the fake boobs, Ill take my own deflated ones any day! LOL sorry if that was a TMI. She is both athletic and sexy and for me that would be the ultimate image to have!

Yeah, I've seen that Minna lady before. She's pretty toned. The other thing to keep in mind is that Jillian and Minna probably look very similar for most of the year. Jillian probably just cuts out sodium and water intake for photo shoots so her muscles show more. I'm sure there's some photo editing involved as well. :D They are out there to sell a product after all.

Thanks MJ! Its a long road ahead but every step is one in the right direction, ya know? I wish I was an old pro, then I'd already be down to my goal weight :D. Yup, I'm just a newbie. :blush5:

I've seen so many newbies come and go, SO MANY!

You've made a commitment and are sticking with it. Sets you apart from the pack of most newbies.

It's nice to have people that really do something about it around here. I spent years going up and down on here, and this is the first time I've stuck with going down for a change. Much like yourself, I'm not dieting anymore, I'm making a lifestyle change. So instead of quick loss, I'm taking it off a little slower, pound by pound, while at the same time learning how to eat better and maintaining when I'm not losing.

I look forward to seeing you reach your goals. You're on a roll!

Ya take the words right outta my mouth. I've gone up and down on different diets for the last 3-4 years. Always something I knew I could never stick with but I could tough out for a few months. Now I'm re-training myself to eat healthy. Make healthy choices when put in bad situations. It is definitely a lifestyle change this time around. No more going back.

Exactly. I still catch myself seeing people trying all these "jump start my weight loss" with this diet or that and I get tempted for the quick loss, but I know better now. Just got to keep doing my thing and not messing up my metabolism where I don't lose anything for a few weeks after.

I'm glad I stopped by, you're actually pretty cool, and we share similar ideas! Who would have known! LOL :sifone:

Yeah, haha... see my post on the Vegas thread yet? Its something along those same lines. Maybe by knowing better we can encourage newbies in the right direction.

You're pretty cool as well. About 15 weeks to Vegas, you ready?

I'm so ready for Vegas! I cant wait to cut loose and partay!

Drinks, food, entertainment, friends, it's gonna be a blast.

I want to really crack down on the weight loss though, I need to switch something up so I can try for 2 pounds at least a week. That doesn't seem like that much to me, but each week I keep missing my target.

I think more exercise is the answer, but I'm feeling beat as it is. ugh! Going to try for more exercise next week and see if that gets me to 2 pounds a week.

:iagree: I think they also want to help people, but all the glitz and glam over throws that and they have to look a certain way for marketing.. like you said.

I myself hope to work with normal everyday people like myself who have struggled like I have... I think I could better relate to them, but it would also be cool to work with athletes... but we will see what the future brings... :)

Another good night at the gym.

35min basketball
Lower body workout:
Deadlifts, squats, Lunges, Step-ups, calf raises, etc.
Finished it up with about 10min on the elliptical.

Time to eat that chicken w/ black beans and wild rice!

It's FRIDAY!!! So glad we've finally reached the weekend. It's been a long week.

Breakfast: FiberOne w/ 1% milk
AM Snack: Nonfat blueberry yogurt, South beach bar
Lunch: Tunasalad wrap w/ tomatoes. Baby carrots and some lowfat cheese.

That's it so far! Along with 40oz of green tea and about 60oz of water so far. I was going to take today off from the gym but I'm not sure now. I feel pretty good and I might go anyways. I'd love to get a good core workout in. Hit the upper and lower abdominals, maybe work the obliques a bit.

I know, I was thinking about that on my way to work!! Figuring out if I should make the effort to go to Grand Bend or whatever
