Big Mac's Lifestyle Change

Thanks for the advice! My boyfriend and I went to AppleBee's tonight, and I drank tons of water. I tried to take a big drink in between every bite. We ordered the Sampler, but I was able to eat only 1 of everything while my boyfriend kindly scarfed down the rest. I got a weight watchers meal. Chicken portobello sandwich (grilled chicken, portobello mushrooms, marinara sauce, wheat bun) with a side of seasoned potatoes. It was pretty good...small, but good. And the water helped to fill me up a little more.

Good job witt, you made some healthy choices. Yeah those samplers at applebees are so good. That stuff adds up quick though so its good you limited your portion size.

Hey Paula, I'm having a good weekend so far. My weigh in is monday so I'm trying to really watch what I eat. Hopefully I see some progress on the scale... I've worked really hard this week at the diet and the gym. Whats that saying? "The journey of 1000 miles starts with one step". I feel like every pound I shed is another step in the right direction. I just wanna be taking like 4-5 steps a week :p.
 
Heh, I think that saying is quite inspiring though, and at pretty much anything. And I'm sure you'll get back into that shirt SoSel, and be rockin a bikini as well.
 
Feeling soooooo sluggish today. Pretty crappy actually. Definately going to the gym after work and gonna push out some serious cardio. Might do some core/ab work as well. My food intake has been on track.

Yea ever since I woke up this morning I've felt soo drained. Like a walking zombie almost. Thankfully I already got my workout in, otherwise I'd probably come up with some excuse not to do it (like I'm too tired). I even had a coffee but it didn't really help much. I'm just glad that I get to leave work in about 5 minutes :hurray:

I'm going to be in bed my like 8:30 tonight haha.

Paula! I'm so glad I went. I feel great today.

Did my usual cardio on the elliptical, 30min 5x5min HIIT, 5min cooldown.

Core work today.

Bridges 3x30sec
Crunches on incline bench 3x10
Medicine ball ab work 3x30
High-Bridge w/ exercise ball 3x10

Felt SOOOOOOOO good to do some core work. My abs are definately feeling it today. Had my bowl of Fiber-One Raisin Clusters. Do Work!
 
Sore abs are the best feeling. haha Kinda like an oxymoron, but it's almost rewarding to be sore because you know you worked hard.
 
I totally know what you mean witt! I love the sore from workout feeling. Its such a good kinda sore, and it reminds you of the hard work you've done and how your muscles are getting stronger. I don't get to workout today because I have to work both jobs.... 7am-10pm. Wed I'm def going to do tricep/chest though.
 
Kinda got out of the routine of putting my food log on here, I don't think I really need to, cause I have a good diet and stick to it. Maybe it will help someone else though.

Breakfast: Fiber-one raisin cluster cereal w/ 1% milk
AM Snack: South Beach PB Bar
Lunch: 6" Turkey on Honey-Oat, Lots of veggies, no mayo (yuk) <3 Subway


Been downing water like usual too... 80oz so far.

I don't really log my food either cuz I pretty much eat the same food everyday when I'm eating healthy... Might help others get ideas for food though when they go through your diary....

Heh, Paula, I'm up to 112oz now. I usually gun for 1-2gallons. Water is great! Everyonce in a while I'll toss in a crystal light to mix it up, but 95% of the time it's just water.

Paula, you should probably be drinking more water. I would say around 120-160oz a day. Who knows though maybe I'm just addicted to the H20.

Hey Alta, thanks for stoppin by. Everything's cool as long as you don't try to get me to drink those shakes :). Keeping a positive attitude definatley does help in the whole process of leading a healthier lifestyle. I've had to eat my own words every now and then, like when I tell people to ignore the scale and work hard/eat right. Then I go a week without seeing weightloss and freak out! I'm glad that everyone around here is encouraging, motivational, and inspirational. I also feel an accountability to the forum, "practice what you preach" kinda thing. Heh, I can't wait till that "HOT ass Man" as you'd say, comes out and joins the party. I'm kinda done with the overweight, soda drinking, fast food munchin Shaun. I already feel worlds different but I know I have a long ways to go.

The tattoo idea I'm still tossing around, gotta figure out something I really want. As far as being 70... if someones checkin out my bod at 70 then I must be doin pretty good, right? haha.

Thanks, again for stoppin by... I've read through yours a bit too, I kinda just wander the Halls of the WLF and like to see whats goin on :)
