"Big Girls (You are Beautiful" <-- Mika's song: Nataliejo's Diary.

If you're having trouble being active, I think we can work out something for you. Like, match walking distance or biking distance. I'll be happy to do it! Just let me know if you need help.

That's a great idea. It would be great for you to try something like that by partnering up with somebody on the forum. It's excellent motivation!

I wouldn't worry too much about this. I haven't had a land line in about 4 years and most of my friends don't have them either. Its just so much easier to pay 1 cell-phone bill instead of both land line and cell.

Remember, stress = weight gain (at least it does for me).

Ok everyone,
I walked twenty five minutes. I feel really good about this. I didn't walk at all yesterday. I am going to use the weight machines later. I plan to join the gym in November I think. Thats when I will have the mony to do so ... :)

Anyway ..so tomorrow I will try to go for thirty minutes. I think I will definately go thirty minutes. Maybe even thirty five. I must work up to it. My legs kind of started feeling weak after twenty five minutes.

Anyway good stuff... everybody ... like you Healthy will probably beat that walk, but I am happy about it. I challenged myself. I was only going to do fifteen minutes, than I challenged myself to walk up the hill and than turn to go on the way home and I walked up the hill and went down another portion of the hill

well ttylater

Great Job on your walk Natalie.

Just slowly build up and listen to what your body tells you. Its sooo great to see you getting you're workouts done:)

Have fun on the weight machines later.

Hi NatalieJo

I am back and trying again....I know how you feel about the motivation..but sometimes I guess we need to just kick ourselves in the a$$, cuz no one else can.

I worked out 2 nights in a row (woot woot woot)..and didnt stop at dairy queen for a blizzard so I am counting that as a success....

Walking is good.......any time we get our butts up and move its good........I was thinking about how sedentary I have gotten over the last year...I need to get more consistent about my exercise...

We can do it...

Hugs

I matched you with pedaling on a bike for 25 minutes today. I really needed incentive to go to the gym for an extra day this week and I decided I'd take inspiration from you. After all, we don't get anything done if we don't just get up, and get out there to walk (or pedal) our buns off!

"There's no time like the present," my father would say.

Tomorrow, I'll go the gym and use the treadmill for 35 minutes. If the treadmills are full (they usually are when I get there) then I'll just use a bike for the same time. Sound good?

We can do it together, Nat. :D
I have faith in your will power.

Hey Nat,

I'm soooo proud of you for getting back out there and doing this for yourself! You're a survivor ( and now that not-so-great Destiny's Child song is in my head)!!! Thanks for the message hun, you're a sweetheart. Keep up the good work, it IS going to pay off. You CAN do it. And you ARE going to look and feel absolutely amazing!!!

xoxo

Hi there NatalieJo,

I was just reading journals and decided to drop in on yours. :) Good job with getting out there and walking. If you're ever stressed, take a walk. It's not only relaxing and refreshing, but you'll get some cardio in there. You'll reach your goal by September, so don't go beating yourself up. :D

-Sheryl

Alright, girl! Get out of that rut! We know how amazing you are, and how well you can do, and we want to see it. We'll be your cheerleaders, but you have to get out on the field.

Good work with the walking. :) I hate seeing forum friends in a rut, but I love it when they pull themselves back out. Very proud of you, hun!

HI Natalie-Jo

Sorry to hear your having a tough time of it at the mo this was me 3 weeks ago but you sound like your doing better than me pulling yourself though!!!
Walking and aerobics sounds like your doing really well.
Just remember 1 step at a time exercise is back on then start to sort the healthy eating again soon all in one go will just put you off and make it look like a huge thing to overcome

I will join in on this as well keep us all motivated!!!
Will check back daily to see what i have to match that day

I had to stop taking metformin all together. It just made me way too sick. I am trying to just go natural now. Lose weight, exercise, not eat too much sugar, take chromium and gymnema.

I am not pre diabetic, I am just insulin resistant. But diabetes runs in my family, so I am trying to prevent it as best I can.

I notice when I use the weights I feel better ..weights will cause your insulin to work correctly and exercise will get rid of the extra or excessive sugar ..and of course ..weight! lol but you already knew that :)

Hi Natalie, just to say hi and to congratulate you on what you are doing. I haven't been diagnosed diabetis or high blood pressure yet /and honestly not even tested properly for both/ but I got a mum with high blood pressure from a very early age and my father was a diabetic as well so being already obese makes me feel scared too. I feel for everyone who have troubles with both because of my family history and my personal worries.
But let's be optimistic - even a small change in our weight will decrease the risks and make us feel better. :jump:

Hey Natalie,
That is really scary. You must be really strong to be working towards your goals. I've known a couple people who were diagnosed pre-diabetic and they never did a thing about it. :(
One of them was an old boss of mine and his philosophy on the matter was "I have to die some way, and if this is it, then thats okay." I thought it was the dumbest thing he had said in all the time of me knowing him. Great guy, but bad decision. He hates the shots he has to take.

Another friend of mine was diagnosed and it was a little shocking to everyone. He's totally fit, eats a lot of decent foods, but probably drinks too much beer and alcohol. He's only 25 and no one expected he'd be diagnosed with anything but being underweight.

Have you thought about joining a gym and getting a personal trainer? I know its really expensive, but if cost isn't a concern, it might be a great motivational tool. I know there are quite a few people on the forums who are having wonderful success now that they have a trainer to work with.
