biceps

Hi! A few of you may remember me lol...

anyway.. I don't usually do many isolations, but my biceps seriosly need some help. Back looks good, biceps.. not so much..

Would throwing in some bicep iso's help at all???

I found a good workout on youtube which ive recently started doing for bicepts and its a very good workout.

Search Arnold schawrtz~ (sorry cant spell it,lol) bicept exercise in youtube and it should show you. Basicaly you stand up and lean over something and support yourself with the arm your not working out. You then put your arm your working out straight down and curl the dumbell up to the oposite side of your body.

What compounds are you doing (because your main lifts should be compounds)? Its not necessary to have a "biceps day" if you hit your biceps as they are stabilisers in many lifts. A few curls would not be harmful but make sure you don't do your culs in the squat rack. Its funny seeing guys doing tonnes of curls in the squat racks and then looking at themselves in the mirror. It would not be funny if i took clips of these guys and posted them on youtube. :D
 
From your build I reckon you are going to have to grow a fair bit all over before your arms get much bigger.
I would make sure you're doing rows, pullups and chins(the last 2 weighted as well). With rows of course you can lift a hec of a lot more than you could curl so this is going to stimulate more growth. Also things like squats and deadlifts are going to stimulate growth all over so these are vital.
Obviously I don't know what your routine is so I can only guess with my advice but probably a full body workout like the 5x5 or even 20 rep squats is going to do you the most good
And of course eat big!

trust me lol.. i would not do curls in the squat rack... (almost) nothing annoys me more. I <3 me some squats!

Bicep isolation is always a good idea if you want to target the area but first off, what are doing in the way of pulls?

Doing good thanks, down to an almost anorexic 210lbs but lifting well

Your range of pulls looks ok to me which is probably how you keep that back looking so sexy :valintines: so if you aren't doing any bicep iso atm then try and add some in. Hammer curls are great for bi isolation
 
Some curls added to the routine should do the trick. While you're at it, do some tricep work too.

Suggested exercises - Barbell Curls, Concentration Curls, Cable Curls, Dips, Skull Crushers, and Close-Grip Presses.
 
I've got a little spreadsheet where some whiz-kid puts together one's stats and then it comes out with proportionate, under-developed, developed etc. If you put in your stats neck, biceps, forearm, chest etc you would soon find out you need to eat a bit more and grow all over not just biceps. One cannot have a bicep like Arnie but a forearm like a little girl.

Your bicepts are just where you are noticing, that you are not as lean as you used to be, and you are not lifting heavy...

you have no vein showing, and your V02 has slipped.

lift heavy,,,and THEN eat big... BUT-- and this is a big butt--- Do not e4at with that BIG OL man of yours, if you are not going to be burning the cals!

LOL FF! Yes, I have taken some time off... too long.. and am beating myself up for it. I do still have the abs though.. I'll post a pic probably tomorrow.
