WOOO! Back on the workouts, and it sounds like you're doing great! I actually gained 3 lbs in the past two weeks, but I'm going to attribute that to salt and cookies...more cookies than salt! haha

I'm glad that you are noticing a difference when working out, I think that is the greatest feeling when something that was once so hard becomes easy. Congrats on the great gifts!!!

Have a good day!

GREAT JOB!!!! I don't know what skiers mean but I assume (I'm a skier) they are moguls and hopping side to side, which is rough so don't worry!

I hope you are feeling better from your cold!

Hey! Sounds good like you are hopping back on that wagon!! If there were ever any strength things I could not live without it would be squats, wall sits, standing bicep curls, and shoulder presses. ALL WITH DUMBBELLS! Try looking in the exercise sticky's on here to see what would work out for you. Try women's health online to get a basic exercise plan. Keep it simple!

Happy to see you posting!

Busy busy busy! Don't try to overdo it, that is what I did awhile ago and then I stopped completely. Work it into your schedule gradually and when you have a good rhythm, say a month, then build on that.

Muscle and fat? I think so. There is a sticky floating around somewhere (exercise?) that deals with that issue. What I do know is that cardio burns immediate fat (why you shouldn't eat within 2 hours prior to working out) and strength training burns stored fat over time. An even mix of the two are beneficial to you either way.

I hope you get better! That sucks you are sick, nothing is worse than a cold!

you know what,
i really appreciate that you always come on here and give me feedback. that really means a lot to me. i usually see a lot of people commenting on peoples diary and it sometimes makes me feel like crap cause no one does on mine, but you do, so that makes me happy. thanks a lot dude, it really means a lot to me. =P

over the weekend i bought me one of those bodybands set, with the dvd from Gaiam. I think thats how you spell it. I just did it right now, twice. The first time I had a lot of cat hair on me (stupid kitties) so I didnt get a good work out. I vacuumed haha and did it again and I got a good lil sweat. I really like pilates, i used to do them all the time, so im going to buy another pilates dvd from the same woman. ill go a beginners because im still not very flexible.

so yeah, ill do that, and tomorrow ill do cardio. and after i get home, ill do a quick pilates.

ill do just as you said Buckeye, I'll do it gradually.

ugh it snowed. i want to ride my bike already!

Not a problem!! I think you are really insightful and completely honest. I really want good people like you to succeed! I'm in the same boat as you, every day is a struggle. Since the 1st, I have lost 10 lbs and my goal by the end of the year is to be down to 135, and I refuse to leave anyone behind on my way!!

We can do this!!!!

I'm so proud of you with the working out!!! I loveeeeeeeeee body bands there is so much you can do with them!! Keep up the great work!!

Hey Bianca, I saw one of your posts on another part of the forum and thought I'd pop by your journal. Congratulations on losing 10lbs! It's really rough trying to fit a healthy lifestyle into a busy routine (esp with school) - but if you just take it one step at a time, you can do it!

And riding your bike in the city is terrifying! My bike is my main transportation now, but I was really scared when I started. I still try to avoid busy streets, and it's a lot less stressful to ride in the early morning or off-hours when there aren't so many people around. Good luck with your ride today!
