Beyond 200

Yes, it's a very sad day today, I watch a lot of the documentary stuff on tv regarding this, and it real hurts the heart. We also mourn here in OKC for our bombing several years back, it just makes me so mad that we have so many evil/hateful people in our world. I'm happy for you as well, that your loved one was spared. ;) Much love to all of those who lost their family and friends on this precious day! :beating:

190 today. My eating this week was pretty good except for yesterday, when I had far too many calories - starting with an indulgent sandwich at Cosi. It's a snowball effect for me, when I have one thing, mid-day, that I know has too many calories, it seems to continue for the rest of the day. It's not binging for me, I ate normal-sized meals - but it was high-calorie stuff that I'd usually avoid.

Anyway, my exercise has been great. Have a great weekend everyone!

I went to my doctor today for my annual physical exam and she was SO full of praise about my weight loss and healthy living. It was really great. It made me feel so good about what I've done so far and made me feel so positive about one day getting to where I want to be. I've gotten several comments lately that I'm looking slimmer, which I am!

Yet, brain be damned, I've been feeling a little discouraged because it's clear to me that I won't get to my goal of 162(ish) this time around, because now that my weight is down some and within 5 pounds of my pre-pregnancy weight, I don't want to hold off any longer on trying for baby #2.

We'll see what happens. Maybe as mother nature takes her course it'll take a few months to get pregnant and I'll lose more weight during these months.

I need to keep remembering how positive my doctor was and be empowered by it - I'm being healthy, I'll keep being healthy while trying to get pregnant and through the pregnancy, and I'll take the weight off again after baby #2!

It's so happy when your doctor actually says something with praise to you!! GOOD JOB!! You know before I got pregnant with my twins I had dropped 30lbs that year, so it's very possible you will lose more before #2, how exciting, a new baby again. AHHHH LOVE BABIES!! I believe I already said that once before. hehehe :beating: Keep up the good work and the positive attitude!

Thanks Mal and Kim!
I have to give myself props for making it to the gym for the 5:40 a.m. group power class. That's right, a badass one-hour weightlifting class at 5:40 a.m..

As if the endorphins weren't reward enough, I had two people tell me I look good. Compliments before 7 a.m. while wearing spandex, who knew it could happen? I sure didn't think it would 6 months ago.

WOW spandex!!!!;) Lucky you! And everyone deserves a complement when they work so hard. I bet your looking fab! have a great day today!

Hey Slim! I love it when the doctor gives praise. It's not everyday that they do that. I think it is so fascinating that you are planning baby #2. Seems like everyone I know, they get pregnant by a "whoops!" It is nice to see a person who thinks it through and plans for it. How refreshing to bring a child into the world that way. Anyhow, great job with your loss, you slimm mommy!

Thanks Miss Jelly Belly & Miss Kim!! 188.6 today! I'm 2.6 pounds away from where I was when I got pregnant with Frank. I started at 186, went down to 182 during the first trimester, and stopped counting at @ 214, about 2-3 weeks before Frank was born. This next time around my goal is to gain 15 pounds. (Don't worry, I'm not nuts - a healthy baby is the most important thing so I'll gain more if that's what the doctor says I should do.)

Have a great weekend everyone!!

whoo hoo! Glad you are at your pre-baby weight! So, are you actively trying to get pregnant? I bet that is fun!!! heheh

Have a great week! I'm wondering how long until you are with child!!

It is pretty fun :)
Just a quick check-in. The # on the scale has been dancing around between 187.4 and 189. I'm pretty happy with that for now. As always, I hope to see the # continue to drop over the next few weeks. I worked out hard this weekend and made to both Saturday and Sunday group power classes even though we had family visiting from out of town. I went to gym today over lunch and did 40 minutes on the elliptical, burning 450 calories. Now I'm a little sleepy.

Check you guys out later! Be well!

October 15

Thanks Cinderelly! I've been working on it! I think the weightlifting class has made a big difference. 185.2 today. I can't believe it. We drove from Chicago to Jeff City, MO & back this weekend for a wedding. I was glad to see the friends I love down there, but 7-8 hours in a car is a VERY long drive with a toddler. I'm kind of blue right now, despite the fabulous reading on the scale. I think the weekend was draining and I also kind of miss living down there in the country. I know that if I were down there I'd probably miss the city a lot. Trade-offs, trade-offs, right?

WOW, your doing fabulous on the weight loss, I can't believe it!! Did your gym change the classes from let's say Group Groove to now Body Jam?? We have in our gym, and the NEW stuff is even better than the old group classes, I think it's a different guy who came up with them, probably the reason for the difference in names also. I guess I have to say I would rather live in the country then back in town, but that's me. I love the privacy of the country, and we only live about 18 miles from town, so we still go in every day for work. To me, I would hate to move back to the city, uggg traffic and nosy neighbors. LOL LOL Well, hope the rest of your week is a good one! Try to get some rest!

December 10

Hi everyone!
I haven't logged on since October 30th, but I haven't forgotten about you all! My excuse is a good one - I'm just over 13 weeks pregnant. We already know that it's a baby boy, and so far everything's been good - the baby is healthy and I'm doing pretty well. I've been very nauseous and fatigued, but that's part of the deal with being pregnant.

So, I just wanted to pop in & explain my absence & share my news now that I'm past the first trimester. As of this morning, I'm 186, less than a pound heavier than when I last logged in. My goal is to limit my weight gain to 20 pounds, but I'll forgive myself if it's actually 25. Last time I gained around 35, so I'm aiming for a little less.

I'll be back after the baby comes next June. Have healthy and happy holidays and I'll see you again in '08! :seeya:

March 6

Hello everyone! I'm just checking in. I'm 26 weeks pregnant, just on the cusp of my third trimester. Our baby boy is due June 11. As of this morning I weighed 192.8, but that's a light reading - I was 194 last week. So, with a start weight of 186, I've put on about 7-8 pounds in 26 weeks.

My appetite is back in full force and it's getting to be time for this baby to start growing a lot more and put on some pounds (he's probably 1.5-2 pounds now). So, I anticipate that I'll gain at least 10, and probably more like 15 pounds between now and when I deliver. That'll put me at @ 20-25 pound weight gain, which will be an awesome accomplishment for me!! It's all about not overindulging and keeping up the exercise these next three months. Wish me luck!
