April 29

Hello all,
Just a quick check-in. I was thinking of the forum today because it was just about a year ago that I first joined. You all helped me lose 20 pounds between April - Sept '07, getting me from 206 back to my pre-pregnancy weight of 186.

I got pregnant again right when we started trying (yea!), and I'm now 34 weeks pregnant and 204 pounds - still lighter than I was when I sought WLF's help a year ago! I've put on 18 pounds so far with this pregnancy and I'm delighted with that.

I just wanted to write down some of my WLF-related goals for after the baby. It's fairly safe to say, though I won't take it for granted, that I'll stay within my maximum weight-gain goal of 25 pounds for this pregnancy, which'll have me at 211 (or less).

Within 6 months of this new baby's arrival (so by Christmas '08) I'd like to be under 200 pounds again.

By the baby's first birthday, which should be mid-June '09, I'd like to be under 180, which will be the lightest I've been in 5 years.

Ideally, by my 20th high school reunion, which will be sometime in the summer of '09, I'd like lose even more and at a goal weight range of between 162-168. I realize this may only be feasible if the reunion is in the late summer, but a girl can dream, can't she?

So, those are the goals. I just thought I'd jot them down now as inspiration for later, when I'm adjusting to having two little boys to love and care for.
Bye for now and good luck to you all!

September 20, 2010 - I'm back!!!

Hello all! I'm back! I had a great experience here last time around. I just signed up with sparkpeople and logged in my nutritional info, but I couldn't bear to join their groups knowing that you all are right here!!! My diary title no longer fits, as I am happily beyond 200 - I weigh 193 right now. But I'm keeping the title to remind me of my success and to remind myself nt too caught up in any specific number (I was so freaked about 200 back in the day!)

My goals: I am ready to shed these 25-35 extra pounds I've been carrying around on my 5'8" frame. I'm going to log in all my food and my exercise on sparkpeople. I've been doing pilates reformer lessons twice a week all summer and bike riding when I can. I'm going to keep that up and add group power (weight training class) back into my exercise routine. I would like to get back to a routine where I'm working out 5 days a week.

Today's bare-bones stats: I took in 2,300 calories and burned 210 in a one-hour pilates session.

The personal stuff: My two sons, Frank (age 4) and Leo (age 2) are terrific. I've been staying home with them for the past year and a half but I'm gearing up to back to work in the next few weeks or months. No job yet, but it'll happen . . .

I am glad to be back on WLF.
