awesome! You look great.

Off topic but I have been wondering did your tats look different when you lost the weight. I have 3 different tats I want, but Im nervous that they will look bad when I loose the weight so I have been holding off on getting them. How are yours looking?

thanks for the compliments
no the tats didn't change. i even have one on my upper stomach for the last 50lbs or so and that didn't change either.

Nice work! You shaved years off your appearance! Looking great!

Very cool! Congrats.

How did you go about accomplishing it?

i started with just running everyday working up to 3 miles a shot. that snowballed into eating healthier and working out with weights. it took about a year and a half to get to were i am at. i will probably lose a few more pounds but i dont see much more coming off. i think i will just keep doing what i am doing and build muscle while losing fat. i used exercise to lose it more than diet. being a high school athlete when i was younger helped, but i was a fat lineman and graduated high school at 240lbs and that was 16 years ago. i still eat things i shouldnt and dont keep track of calories and such, but for the most part i eat healthy foods in small portions. i am still running 3 miles a day and lifting every 2 days. i did it in my basement by myself. this is the best shape i have ever been in at 34 years old.

I thought the first set of pics that you posted were impressive, but you're right, these do show it better! 102 lbs... wow... just, wow!

yeah, i finally bought new clothes that fit and took pictures. i thought it looked more impressive than the shirtless pics.

Looking good. Did the weigh-loss affect your tattoos at all? Everyone's surprised, with the amount of weight that I've lost, that my tattoos weren't affected by it. I think perhaps it has always been a myth that they'll get distorted.

thanks again everyone and no the tats didn't change. i even have one on my upper stomach for the last 50lbs or so and that didn't change either.

Myth busted. I don't think tats distort with weight fluctuation.

My friend had a tat on her stomach and when she got pregnant it stretched pretty badly. I think it depends on the person and their elasticity of their skin. I got attacked with stretchmarks when I was pregnant.

And heres a quote

"Will the tattoo change if my body changes (working out, weight loss or gain, pregnancy)?

Dogstar Tattoo Company
Yes it will. Depending on how much your change will depend on how much it affects the tattoo. Typically when men workout, they have to drastically change to stretch out a piece on their arm. The result in this case is that the tattoo may be lighter as well as somewhat distorted. Pregnancy will definitely alter tattoos on the stomach, usually permanently"
