best tricep workout?

Whats the best tricep workout?ive been doing mostly pushdowns with a rope,v-bar, straight bar but havent been developing the mass i would like to. Ive been doing some bench dips over the past couple of days, seem to be okay. Would it be wrong to be slightly hesistant towards lying presses because it seems like form it EXTREMLY important and i dont haven anyone to spot me. Any help is great

ps if anyone suggests squats, they're done:p

Ditto on the close grip bench press. Skull crushers are another good movement however lean muscle gain is going to start with a solid diet approach.

thanks blackedout and ~LV~, ill look up skull crushers, ive heard of them b4 and probly seen them, just forget what they are. Ive convinced my self i need to start eating more, I might start packing a lunch now.

yeah, on alot of triceps isolation exercises i see people cheating all the time, its almost worse than biceps curls. This one guy was making fun of me because i used alot lower weight than him on the skull crusher, i went over to him, and put his elbows inn for him.. well, it shut him up.

truly, thanks for all the suggestions, went to the gym today and did 4 sets of 8 with 70 lbs(the pre-weighted short bars) with my hands no more then 6 inches apart. What a workout, my chest, triceps, and forearms were burnin.

This is what I do:

After a chest workout:
  1. 3 sets of dips - works chest and triceps
  2. 3 sets of skullcrushers
  3. 3 sets of pushdowns or french presses or whatevercable exercise for 12-20 reps each set

Your triceps are 1/2 cooked after chest anyway so this is more than enough to get them.

Dips, make sure you poke out your chest and watch your elbows positioning.
Flat bench extension, great for putting on size.
Kick backs, great for isolation and sectional development.

Not to be rude but kickbacks are a waste of time, they build no definition, no muscle size and no strength. I never saw a 100kg+ guy doing kickbacks and I definitely never used them to grow arms as big as most peoples legs.

WHO said triceps kickbacks are a waste of time?

Someone actually made fun of you in the gym? You must have known them. Can't imagine a stranger coming up and making fun because they used more weight than you.
