There is no absolute best, nobody. There are only exercises suited to your specific needs. In my case, the best exercises are those which are specific to my muay thai training. Having said that, if you want to increase overall power, compound (multijoint) exercises such as:
Power Cleans (or PC & Jerk)
Squats
Deadlifts
Bench presses
Bent-over barbell rows
Wide grip chins, weighted as you progress (Or lat pulldowns, depending on your preference / starting strength)
are all lifting staples.
Barbell curls and triceps cable extensions are more specific to your arms, so they're not on the list above, but I find them both to be simple exercises that get the job done.
Hopefully the people who know what they're talking about will be able to tell you more.
I want "power power". Not size, or endurance. I'll train for endurance later on.
I was thinking of going for the one rep max training. It is like neuromuscular strength.
Btw, can someone explain wtf "neuromuscular strength" is exactly? I think I have an idea, but I wanna be sure of it's pros, cons, everything.
