Best Book On Muscle Gain / Bulk Up

What is the best book that you have ever read that helped you in Muscle gain or bulk up? And why?

Let me start.I have not read many books on the subject but I liked "The New Rules of Lifting: Six Basic Moves for Maximum Muscle". Why? Because it really showed me the importance of basic, compound and core excercises.

I haven't read any, I find that forums like this are much more worth while. Since you can ask questions. You can't have a conversation with a book last time I checked.

Serious Strength Training

It's like the lifting bible check it out it will teach you everything you want to know. i am not sure of the author but it shows a big black guy on the front curling.

Brawn
Awesome Abs (technical read)
Strength Training Anatomy
Loaded Guns
The New Encylopedia of Modern Bodybuilding
Scrawny to Brawny
The Poloquin Principles
Understanding Bodybuilding Nutrition and Training
Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle

Anything by Charles Poloquin, Ian King, Tom Venuto, John Berardi, Paul Chek, Charles Staley, Chris Aceto, Mel Siff and I am sure I am forgetting people, is def. worth a read.

I have a library of books, this were just some standouts that you should start out with.

Thanks very much strout.

Do the mods think we should make a sticky out of it? It makes it visible and easier for people to continue to add to the thread.

The New Rules of Lifting: Six Basic Moves for Maximum Muscle

Good book for newbies. I have a copy.

chad waterbury has a book coming out soon which will be unreal and look out for a book by coach christpher sommer on gymnastic training for muscle building type benefits or something like that...ideal for those with not a lot of wts at home

I would like to say thanks to all the people who recommended me "Scrawny to Brawny". I havent finished it as yet, only 200 pages into it - and I like this book very much. I would also recommend this book to people trying to bulk up.

This book is also helping me in my Shoulder Impingement which has been keeping me away from gym for over 2 months.

I also read book "The Hardgainer's Body Building Handbook: Powerful Secrets for Unleashing Your Muscle Mass Fast"
I would not really recommend this book unless you like a book with lots of pictures showing you how to do various excercises.
The only thing I learned from this book was Periodisation - apart from that it was a disappointment. I was expecting better from Hugo Rivera.

Gaining Mass - Anthony Ellis.
Perfect for those starting out. A solid base of knowledge which is easy to read and well organized.
